EDITORS NOTE: Only after posting did I notice that the "Cost to Life" graph points the wrong way. 🙃 It should be running upward as it moves to the right 📈, not downward📉. (juices on bottom left, spirits on top right) Apologies everyone!
The Law & Order integration was done so damn well! Your editing game on this one was fantastic. Never had this cocktail before but when I do will definitely cut back the OJ. Cheers pal!
Thanks so much, Vino! Always appreciate you watching. Ya! Chief Lapu Lapu is one of my old favorites, but indeed good to pull back on the OJ, or maybe even swap in some Smith & Cross! haha. Cheers!
Finally a video that speaks to both my internal alcoholic tiki enthusiast wannabe and my internal cheapskate!
Haha perfect!
Great info. CT loves that tv show. Watches it way too much! Lol.
Ha I'm always honored when Cocktail Tony leaves a comment. He's a great host, "Over and out!!!"
Congrats on 500!!! We love tiki.
Thanks so much on the congrats! Also your show looks rad, I'll have to sub! Cheers!
Another great one as usual. Great presentation great cocktail
Thank you Tony! I need to go back and comment on your Storm of the Century episode, that is an explosive drink!! I gotta make that one myself soon and see if I survive! 😅
I’m always blown away with your video’s. You are killing it. I just got this book and Scoured that grid. It’s so genius! Thanks so much for posting about it. It’s very helpful for everyone. I’ve actually never tried the Chief Lapu Lapu. Great video with so much info. Mahalo.
PS. I make that same noise when I open An El Dorado, Dr. Bird, Appleton.. Who am I kidding, I make that noise with almost any rum! 😅
@@TheHomeBartenderwithAnn haha! I looove Demerara Rum so much, a happiness sound is always required. Thanks so much for the kind words, I'm so glad you enjoyed the episode! Pairing down the 30 to just 9 was a rough challenge, but glad I was able to find an effective combo. But, of course, the original 30 by Matt & Carrie are super awesome! That whole book has great recipes. Cheers, Ann!!
Awesome video! It has it all - super practical advise, and it's entertaining AF! Great job! I think I need to order that Minimalist Tiki book.
I loved your presentation of all the drinks you can make with the basic set of ingredients. I think I have pretty much all of it, so I'm ahead for once in my life.
Thanks for watching! Glad you found it educational and entertaining!! It was super hard to pair down Matt & Carrie's 30 to just 9, their book of the 30 essentials is super useful. Just for the cocktails alone!
Great video. Indeed with some planning a decent amount of drinks can be made.
I will just add to build your bar based on what you like to drink. 😊
As I said earlier, great video. Cheers!
Yes! absolutely. In fact, my personal start was by picking a cocktail I liked, and building my bar setup around that cocktail. I started with a Jungle Bird and went from there. Thanks for the kind words!
@@CocktailFridays You are more than welcome.
Congratulations on 500 subs!
Thanks so much, David! It's a great milestone to celebrate.. probably with a tiki drink!! But yes thank you for watching!! 🍹
Hmm your intro finally made something click that Law and Order almost sounds like Magnum PI.... Great info and a fun recipe. I got the book and several others.
Ha, right? Thanks for watching, Stephane! Of course you have their book, you're one of my favorite instagram cocktail accounts, so I'm always making recipes from you at home in the "off-hours". Always a pleasure to see you in the comments, cheers!
@@CocktailFridays Thank you so much!
Another great video Dave! 🤙🏽
Thank you, Adrian!! Also thanks for letting us use your likeness in the intro!
@@CocktailFridays any time! Actually, I'm flattered you chose me! Haha
Drink looks delicious. OJ is good for me. Good out takes. Lol. 🙂
Thanks for watching, K.A.! Chief Lapu Lapu is one of my favorites honestly, being able to make it using the "essentials" was a happy suprise for me. Cheers!
I laughed so much with the law & order intro. 🤣 Brilliant.. Great video buddy and very informative. Enjoyable to watch will have to try the Chief Lapu Lapu as I do prefore them with more juice 👍
Thank you, James! Oh you'd definitely love Chief Lapu Lapu as-is, then! It's a bit juice-forward in its native state, it's good either way really! Cheers!
Thanks. Have some engagement. lol :3
We are now engaged
Add coconut cream and that recipe number probably triples…
Absolutely! I can think of about 4 cocktails that jump in the mix when combined with that list of ingredients, cocoanut grove, tradewinds, little bit into painkiller territory, and more I'm sure!
