Mike Austin said that the shoulders controls what the hands and wrist do especially as we are pushing the club head down through the bottom of its swing arc and then up again. And at age 74 I finally found out that he was 100 percent correct above all other instructors Cheers
My hands work really good on my swing. I work allot on the shoulders in my swing. I found the left hip moving under me and down in backswing helps my shoulders move down. From here I can hit it really good I think it impresses most people. ( I have taught this for years also to tour pros) I saw later that Mike Austin taught that. However most club golfers just simply have really bad hand and wrist motions. For many of them the have to learn to improve their hand motion. I’ve filmed 40,000 club games. Mike Austin was brilliant. There are some other instructors in the world that also can teach and help people.
David Duvall(British Open Champion)was a proponent of this kind of release, he stated the the face still remains square to the path with this type of 'lob shot' release pattern(with driver) vs rolling the wrists over in the follow through and closing face to path.
Fantastic explanation. In my humble opinion, “feel” is often misleading in golf. As you say, you need to find the right positions first. You make a lot of sense and very good points. I’m learning heaps.
Great information..I have been working on copying your rhythm..close today..one question remains: what motion starts the swing motion?? Discovered today that when I start my swing motion by a very slight lateral move of the left knee my motion is fluid like yours and the release feels awesome..no need to think about anything else...am I on the right track???? STRESSDR..
Love your videos but got a question. Been working on a feeling in downswing of pulling up on trail hand and pushing down on lead hand . This is creating more lag angles at p5 into p6 with a snap at the bottom . Is this a good feeling and have you tried this ? Thanks 🙏
Hi Paul, thanks for the nice words. Yes also sounds like a good feel that you have going there👍... I don’t really work on lag anymore as I got it there a long time ago but I can relate to the feel you have described
Great video and lot off great information there 👍 I'm still litel skeptical how much this is going to help average golfer. I mean these guys are young athletes. They have trainers and coaches. They have played from young age. They play and practice a LOT! Offcource nothing wrong that, but copy the same positions can bee challenge most off us 🤔
Thanks for posting 👍 Better off copying or getting closer to what is correct 😊 the closer golfers get to good path and a square club face the better they hit. What does the average golfer need ? Average golfer videos? No they need improvement in their motion. 👍
This is a detailed and well documented account of the proper geometry of a well executed golf shot. On his website Craig has numerous easy to understand drills on how to achieve proper geometry.
@@CraigHansonGolf We all wan't get better 👍 I have just heard so many times people are trying get hips open, shaft lean, connection etc... without thinking why. Also thinking is so slow for swing. Well you have exellent videos and like you said we all want better motion ☺👍
@@ComoGolfFoundation Yes 👍 Well document account and there nothing wrong. I have also learn how pros move. My point is that they have so strong and fast body that it can be difficult swing model for people like me. Midle aged weekend golfer 😉 Great to hear that it's good site 👍
