My absolute favorite thing about this show is that Rose McIver (who played Liv) essentially got the play a different role every episode. We didn't get stuck with seeing the same character and acting every episode. It was changed up and i learned to appreciate just how good she is as an actress and her range. She's a wonderful 50s housewife, then a white gangsta rapper girl, then a dominatrix. And she plays them all wonderfully and it's so fun to see. You don't get bored with her characters.
Her personality and skill shifts where amazing!!! The concept is great and liv ravi and Clive are so much fun together.... Love especially liv and ravi

I love how in the later seasons of the show show we see everyone knowing about zombies and how society is dealing with it.

You liked that? Meh I felt that kind of ruined the show a bit. Even when Clive found out it was kind of ehhhh for me but at least in season 3 it was like a small segment of the population knew and that made for some fun. But once EVERYONE knew it took away some of the fun away for me.

I feel like the entire Renegade thing didn’t make sense whatsoever, and that they made Chase out to be a bad guy just doesn’t really work because his points are valid and it’s not like he has a choice when the entire world is going through a zombie apocalypse- like that constant “Liv good, Chase Blaine and everyone else that isn’t Liv- bad” thing going on also kinda ruined it for me
@@sploomfussy I think Chase was written extremely well as a character. You could tell he was a good man forced into a very tough situation. His first instinct was to spare the old Renegade. But he was pressured by his people to kill her as an example. And the whole time he seemed very remorseful about it. Even in the last seconds telling her "it won't hurt" her being in pain was a concern for him. The city he was suddenly in charge of was at risk of destruction in at least three different ways. Zombie v human war, the outside world nukes them, his leadership is overthrown (that one happened). Even if you look at all the "bad" things he did they all make sense from his perspective. He executed Renegade for going against laws that were clearly stated would result in death, and with good reason the city was already starving making new mouths made the problem worse and could lead to everyone dying. He killed one of Major's squad mates for firing on him, he initially shot the guy's love interest in the gut as a lesson knowing it wouldn't kill her but then the idiot fired on Chase trying to kill him and Chase's survival instincts kicked in eliminating the threat. I think by the end of the season the stress of being in charge and the guilt of his actions drove him over the brink. He started as a very reasonable and likable leader (all of his men loved and respected him) and ended up as a villain after having to deal with a nearly impossible position. When Major takes over we even see the job wear on him and change him though he at least had the framework of not becoming Chase to keep him in line.

To be honest, this is one of the best shows I have ever seen. It might seem weird on the surface but the last 2 seasons especially are brilliant. The insights from them connect so well to some real life public health issues. It is purely self aware show, with some excellent logic in context of its universe. And could be analysed using so many perspectives that would actually do it justice. I absolutely admire the show. I hope you had an opportunity to watch it till the end.
I have not slept for days watching this. The best thing I have seen in years. I don’t even know what the best parts are..the titles, the recipes, the comedy. You cannot even choose a favourite character ( it might be Blaine ), they are all great. I have 2 episodes left, and then I am going to watch it all again.

For me the biggest sell of the show is easy, Liv on sexy librarian brains, but the second is the phenomenal banter. The dialog is just lightning fast and razor sharp, an absolute joy to listen to, just behind stuff like Justified and Psyche.

This video makes it look pretty lame and terrible, but judging a show off it's pilot episode is never a fair assessment since most shows take a few episodes to really find their rhythm.
Maybe give it a shot one day and see what you think.

Another one of my favorite shows. I wasn't a fan of the series finale, though. As a software developer, I was SO GLAD when they did a "hacker brain" episode and the technique -- and even most of the visible code -- was real and legitimate! That never happens on TV! And then like a season later they brought on the forensic techboy babbling about using quantum cryptography to crack a safe with a handheld device or something and I was like, "Why'd you have to burst my pride for you, writers?"

Most tv shows ive watched have had shitty like spiderman joystick analog plug into the tv 2010 consoles type games.
I just finished the series today and its an amazing ride from S1 to S5, even the ending felt rushed it still an awesome show. Rose McIver as Olivia Moore is just perfect casting.
Basically the show is a crime solver comedy with a zombie posing as a psychic. It also throws in romantic relations and drama, but the show is very fun to watch.
Vampire Steve is definently my favorite and Ravi is my number 2.

The self-awarness of the show is my favorite thing, it was so refreshing. With all the little puns and everything, and really likeable characters, it was so much fun to watch. I recommend it wholeheartedly 😊
Indeed, I like when a show is aware that it's ridiculously over the top, but embraces its craziness. It kinds of reminds me of "Riverdale" Season 1, before it started taking itself FAR too seriously!😣

@Oompa Loompa I wouldn't say all shows do that and I'd argue it was a good way to go out. They could have dragged it out a bit more and most fans would have lapped it up no problem but there was the risk of dragging it out too much for what was going on at which point the only saving grace would be a scene with a certain blonde bitch getting torn apart by a small horde which I wouldn't mind seeing but I found the looming threat way to work quite well too rather than a completely "and all was well" ending

i remember watching this video when alex released it a year ago and i recently decided to watch the show. i just finished it a couple days ago and holy shit it’s so amazing. (SPOILER WARNING) i didn’t know it was gonna be so good and every episode is just as good as the next, like omg the writers did such a good job. having a new murder every episode is such an interesting concept, but it does make me wonder why the hell is there so much crime in Seattle lol. ravi having his “monthlys” of turning into a zombie once a month is so funny and his whole arch of trying to create a cure is so entertaining. as well as the relationship problems liv/major and clive/dale go through. peyton’s somewhat death at the end almost made me cry like it’s not even funny i was so attached to the cast and i think it’s one of my favorite shows of all time. ok i’m done now!

When I was a kid me and my mom watched this for a short bit and then we got as far as the episode were she finds her zombified old rival trapped in the sewer and it traumatized me for years :D
iZombie was a great show, but it's kinda crazy how much the show changes from start to finish lol.
The early seasons are about her solving crimes by eating the victim's brains, but the later seasons are about zombie wars & an entire city in lockdown.

I just started watching this like 4-5 days ago and I love it.
Edit: Finished the show and it's really good. Best thing about it is that it evolves over time. So every time something starts getting a bit stale, there's a new vibe to it. I won't spoil how it turns out, but this initial hook of her secretly helping the detectives by eating the victim's brains starts getting a bit repetitive at some point (though still entertaining due to the different personalities), but just as it starts to get old, the dynamic starts to change. And by the end, this initial hook isn't even really the main thing anymore.
Honestly the pun play on words names was lowkey a favorite part of the show for me. Olivia"Liv" Moore the zombie, Major Lilywhite, the white protag love interest, the paramilitary organizations just happens to have a lot of zombies in it's ranks Fillmore-Graves. Like i think thats great. Corny but great

It's so great, I loved seeing stuff like CSI but in tbe UK we were always way behind. This has that mixed with supernatural stuff and great dark comedy too. I'm not so keen on how it ended, but they did manage to pull thr last series together more than I expected they would.
I'm looking for shows to watch, any recommendations? One of my favourites is the original Being Human series which might appeal to people who like izombie, there's only one zombie episode bht it's about vampires, werewolves and ghosts mainly.

See, I like TWD because it's not plot driven, It's character driven. The focus is not on the dead, but on the living and how they learn to co-exist with the dead. They don't make the zombies scarier than they need to be, like some other movies/shows. And in later seasons, they aren't even the main threat; other people/groups are.
I love this aspect because it's realistic. It's kind of like the things we learn about in history class, you know? Two groups want the same things and one isn't interested is negotiating while the other wants to avoid major conflict. So either they fight or one of them bends to the other's will. And then the must weigh the costs and benefits of each option. Give up what they want or fight it out.
If they win, they get what it was they desired but then they risk the other group coming back later and attacking out of vengeance. If they lose not only will the other group take whatever it is they were fighting over, but the time and resources used in the battle would have been for nothing. Not to mention that there will be a loss of lives for both sides no matter who wins.
So then they must ask themselves: which is worse? To fight and lose or to concede and not only have to live with the lingering "what if?", but also appear weak and easy to push around (a very dangerous way to be viewed in this type of environment).
So they make a choice and hope they don't grow to regret it. And if they do, then they have to live with it for the rest of their lives.
I love this dynamic.
Now with all that being said, I understand why it could be boring to some people. I get it. You prefer stories with a stronger plot, which tend to move faster, while I prefer one's with stronger characters, which then to move slower. Every show has a bit of each, though they tend to lean towards one more than the other. Or maybe you just don't like TWD. That fine to. After all, if everyone liked the same things the world would be a very dull place to be.

I loved iZombie. The characters were amazing. My favorite was Ravi.
Mine too, I loved how Ravi and Liv had a strong, platonic friendship, with no hint of romance between them, stemming from the fact that he was the first one to discover her secret!❤😀
The character development was really good all around, but Ravi was definitely the best out of all the characters

Loved it.
