I'm sorry I have to correct you there. Lucifer's "superpower" isn't to make people do whatever he wants them to do. That's why he gets so pissed off at the phrase, "The Devil made me do it." His "superpower" is to draw out people's desires.

Well, one reason he flat out admits who he is is because the Devil doesn't lie. He might try and say half-truths but he makes it very clear early on he doesn't lie.
Don't reason with the moron who runs this channel, he has no clue about the show and didn't even bother to watch at least the first season of the series to at least grasp the basic concepts before criticising... yeah, criticising what exactly? Plot holes? You didn't even watch the second episode not to mention the whole season, how are you judging the first episode for not explaining E V E R Y T H I N G?

Honestly, because
1. The mysteries are generally engaging
2. Since the devil is the main character and the PoV character, we get to see other biblical characters in a different light
3. Deckerstar is a great, well-paced romance, and their chemistry is really fun to watch
Meh I watched seven episodies and I think it was dumb and predictable. The Devil isn't the Devil; he is just a misunderstood angel who isn't evil at all and his romance between him and the detective (forgot her name) is predictable.
This series is a little slow in the beginning, but it builds up really fast, and the pay off is worth it. They ended it on a roller coaster though and I am so happy that Netflix is bringing it back. I need to know what happens with that ending. I won't spoil it, but it is worth watching the whole series... trust me.
The TV Network formula was getting tedious. I am glad that Netflix resurrected it, maybe they won't follow such an annoyingly-timed plot. Aka 99% filler and 1% actual development.
In my opinion season 3 was such a bore but I still watched it because I liked the other seasons.
Agreed this is actually a great series, little slow at 1st but it's all worth it..

I felt like Chloe should've found out in the beginning of the season 3,so story could of been a lil more intense. Season 3 felt like it kept dragging the same premise of Chloe not knowing too long. But I actually didn't mind Cain, I made sense but could of been written better. I liked it better when he was "The Sin Man" Because he was more like the boogey man & that was good. But I feel like Netflix will allow "Lucifer" To be the show it can be with a lil more freedom.

Hell is the place where sinners who have rejected jesus’s free gift of salvation go to eternally suffer, its not going to be fun. And I dislike this show because it normalized the idea of going to hell & paints satan out to be the victim and like he has equal power as God in enforcing “good and evil”. In reality he chose to revolt against God and thought he was worthy or being worshiped. Satan is suffering in hell for his sins and wants people to suffer with him, he has 0 power unless you give him it

Plus, a lot of things got fixed - like Dan Espinoza's cast, Chloe's surname which got used again in s4 (i love how they repurpose some things, like Tom Ellis with american accent got in the end used for the portrayal of Michael),...

I know "weird" doesn't equate "bad" but in half cases it's pejorative and in this context... And Lucifer isn't weird, it's complicated and waiting for the "oh shit this makes sense!" moment is long while a lot of people don't like complicated things or waiting.
Everything you said bad about the show is what makes Lucifer good.

I mean how come Decker didn't knew about it for all these episodes anyway? On season 1 she discovered an holy hint at every episode. Then FOX seems to have completly give up on that.

To anyone who sees this review and thinks, “Eh this show looks sort of interesting, but I’ll pass.”: give it a fighting chance. The pilot doesn’t do it justice. This show gets really good-I’d stopped watching it for a bit during Season 1 and I’m SO glad I gave it a second chance. I’d argue there’s something in it for almost anyone. You like dark comedies, crime thrillers, dramas, supernatural shows, OR just shows with good character development, acting, and chemistry? Lucifer checks all those boxes. And yes the handsome devil can get a bit annoying sometimes, but that’s part of his charm.
Dude. This review isn't even accurate for the Pilot. He basically took all explanations and all character out of the show and then was like "This one dude did this thing that I don't understand because magic I guess" even though 5 minutes earlier in the episode it is very clearly explained. This is probably the worst video if his I've seen.

The series is actually very well written.. It highlights the evil desires in humans and the questions our beliefs about the devil. That said it should be taken lightly but it’s intriguing. And the Adam and Eve concept in 4th season is just amazing. I hope there is a season 5.

If you wanna try to watch it. Here's my review.
Season 1 : brilliant. I had watch it few times. Funny, full sarcasm, the Devil I love.
Season 2 : great. Story was build so good. Still funny, more emotion, the Devil I like.
Season 3 : good... but weird. Some episodes not really needed for story, the Devil looks different than S1. And looks like that what make the rating is down. But the final was epic as fck.

Season 4 : SO FREAKING AMAZING. It is so satisfying. Every character, every moment, every dialogue, just right on their place. And I'm so grateful Netflix took the show, they've done a great work.
Definitely the true Devil that deserve to be loved.

lucifer is an amazing show. there’s so much complexity, i just love the story being around holy & heavenly beings and just biblical things in general. it’s a really good show and has a very interesting but well thought out arch. in my opinion.
Every character is so well written and complex. Sometimes I’ve gotten upset with the writers for where they were taking the plot (it always ends up being the best for the story in the long run), but I realize that it’s not because they’re bad writers. It’s because they’re INCREDIBLE writers. I would kill to be able to write so well that people got angry, just because of how attached to the characters they were.
@@Kat-PM YES! Like the whole Dan/Ella thing in season 4. SO many people were angry about that, calling it terrible writing, asking, "Why should we ship them?!" And the answer is simple: you shouldn't. You're not supposed to. The writers don't want you to. Even Dan and Ella knew immediately that it was a terrible mistake. But the writers are skilled enough to know that in the real world, humans make mistakes, and when two people are grieving and having trouble processing that grief, they will make huge mistakes together. And that's all it was. It was just another symptom of the emotional turmoil that culminated in episode 4x09's Dan Goes to Therapy scene.

The show's main themes is the psychological progression of the characters and meanwhile, biblical things happen, and that's probably what I love most about it. Plus, whatever you wish for, you get it, from ships to scenes, and not like in Supernatural. That's why the only Lucifer fanfiction I've ever read was a crossover with Good Omens.
Trust me, after you watch season 4, you can swap out the “weird” in the title with “great”
After you watch season 5, you can swap out the "great" with "Absolutely mind-blowingly amazing."

I love this show so much, I'm so glad it got to have a real ending! It made me cry it was so beautiful!!! I was actually surprised when I realized Linda was going to be a recurring character, I think she's my favorite of the non main characters, except maybe Ella. Ella is wonderful.
The mistakes I feel that they made was taking away his "devil face" for so long and also not having many supernatural occurances. I really hope there is a more supernatural element in season 4 on Netflix.
Yeah I agree but I am scared they will make Chloe forgot about his Devil face in season 4 and in my opinion that will ruin it. We waited so long for Chloe to finally find out about Lucifer.
I mean it’s a good thing that the show doesn’t rely ton the super natural element too much. This show is not cliche at all it’s super unique which focuses on Lucifer’s journey and him living on earth amongst humanity living his life the way he sees fit. The blend of humor, drama, fantasy and procedural is so well done.
I think him having some limits to his powers, him having some weakness and difficulties is what makes the show more compelling.

"Lucifer" is just an amazingly entertaining show. It's very funny at times, but can also be very emotional and touching. Incredible range in what it covers, not to mention the music is terrific. Tom Ellis is incredible as Lucifer, charming and engaging. All the acting is great and the writing as well. I was hooked at the first episode, but the show has run for six seasons. So you really can't judge it by the pilot alone.

I think the show goes the opposite way compared to your suggestion. Instead of the mystery being is Lucifer the Devil? The show's mystery becomes: What/Who is Chloe? Also, Lucifer gets powered down to add stakes to the episodes.
