    I have been following your instagram for about 2 years. You're the best of the best (in my opinion). This is seriously so satisfying to watch. The artistry in your work is phenomenal and the way it is filmed (lighting, angle, music, etc.) is very visually appealing too. I'm a big big fan:)

    I am so curious what you do with the water going into the bottle near the end .. :) . I love the late Koreo celadon wine bottles . You have a great eye for form .. You may end up letting go of using a sponge in your lifts in the next 20 years .. It was about 25 years for me :) .... Warm regards from New England .. , Yours Guy

    • @Matthornepottery
      @Matthornepottery  8 років тому +12

      Have to be very careful not to close it up... If it's very thin I could use a needle on the inside ;)

    Hi Matt great video. I wonder how you would turn a foot in this? What type of glaze did you use on this. If you did could you post a video on how you turned it? Thanks clement

    • @Matthornepottery
      @Matthornepottery  7 років тому

      I use a chuck to turn my pieces, but I didn't video this one unfortunately. I glaze all of my work using crystalline glazes, I don't think i have a photo of this piece in particular but you can see some examples here: ua-cam.com/video/K_gxK3eLlKA/v-deo.html or on my website.

      Thanks again Matt. You did let folks know what L&L kiln you recently purchased, but I can't find the information. Can you let me know again? My question is, is this kiln 2.5 or 3 inch wall thickness? I am wondering what you chose based on the time needed for temperature drop down required for the crystal growth time and temperature.
