Thank you for your kind words. My band opened for Steve Morse Band and The Dregs on several occasions and it was always encouraging to receive complimentary words from Steve.
Hi Michael, first of all that for the wonderful UA-cam videos. If possible may I request you cover Domenic Troiano ◙ Lonely Girl . Such a great tune by one of Canada's finest.
I like this stuff, it makes me feel happy. Thank you, Michael. Words simply cannot express my gratitude for your excellent videos and easy to understand lessons.
as always, you blow me away, Michael. And your vibrato is great! No more self-deprecation on that! :D :D :D Also second the motion on Steve's compositional genius; that's what really separates him from the pack. :D
@@michaelgregory2231 you know he always called it Chamber Music. He was just using the instruments of the times. If Bach, Scarlatti, and Vivaldi had access to electric instruments and drum kits, they would've definitely used them. :D
that was great! thanks for posting. I had forgotten what a great tune Aftershock was. Morse' ability to weave those contrapuntal lines is unparalleled. You really did it justice!
I've always felt (and I still do) that a lot of guitarists - specifically from the burgeoning shred era of the mid to late 1980's - don't give Steve Morse the credit he is due as an influence on their playing. EDIT: PS Your vibrato is fantastic on this piece, Michael. :)
Michael and I were neighbors in Nor Cal many moons ago ((late 80’s?), he knocked on my door one day and we traded Morse licks (I’m a bassist, so we traded Morse and Andy West licks), we went on to play together here and there...been friends ever since...
Love this song. Steve would be proud!

Wow. Just wow
Ain't it a stellar composition?
@@michaelgregory2231 of course. But your touch and fire on this one. Something different there.
I said this to Steve at NAMM and I’ll say it to you... May the Morse be with you!
Love it, Robert, thank you!

Very kind, thank you. Yes, his playing is so stellar that people lose sight of his compositional brilliance
Sensacional Michael Gregory! Sou muito fã do Steve Morse / Dixie Dregs!
Muito obrigado! Saludos desde Sacramento, California!
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!
Thank you, Sir Douglas

Your vibrato is fantastic on this piece, Michael. :)
Thanks so much, Lee! Been working on that vibrato!

Sweet!
Thanks, Maximus!
@@michaelgregory2231 I always enjoy your videos, Bro! I hope you are well!
Well done! This inspires me to dust off this cd and give it a listen again. This is the one I'm definitely least familiar with.
You'd nail it. The ostinato in the bass part keeps moving. A masterful composition
Another super good one! Michael is one of the best of the best -
Thanks so much, T!
Tasty! Hope you're well. Happy New Year!
Thank you, paisan! Same to you!
Hieno veto!
Suuri kiitos ystäväni!
If you cover the song Unity Gain I will plotz.
