I discovered you on CoROEnosphere playing with Doc Love and Bruce. Incredible playing! Technically impeccable, beautiful artistry, and it's fun to see how much you seem to enjoy playing.
Thanks so much, Robert! I’ve known them both for almost 40 years and absolutely love playing with them. They shoot those 6 blocks from my house, so it’s ridiculously convenient as well. I appreciate your kind words.
Only stumbled across your site by chance. My flabber is well and truly gasted!!! Such beautiful playing. You obviously enjoy what you do-it comes across in your playing. Just made my day. Thank you.. bTW, do you have any advice/tips for improving technique on the guitar? I’d love to be able to play even half as fluidly as you. 👍✌️
Very kind of you, thank you! The best thing I can say is that it takes time - real time. I played 6-8 hours some days as a teen. I"m now 62 and no longer tour/record fulltime, working an IT job and playing on weekends, but I still log at least an hour a day6.
@@michaelgregory2231 What a surprise, a great way to reminisce my first (but certainly not last) SD album. Awesome work and so fun to watch you nail it and enjoy what you do...

Greetings Michael, as always, you did Steely Dan right! I first came across your UA-cam channel a couple of years ago now, I believe, while looking for instruction for guitar on "Reelin' In The years. I was really happy to come across your channel. Then, a few days ago, I saw that you commented on a studio tour on Uncle Larry, the Session man's site and was excited to see you there! So, you were or are a Nashville session player as well? Anyhow, great job on Walter Becker's guitar work on Bhodisattva!
Thank you for your kind words, Chuck, and for visiting my channel! Yes, I was a session/road guy in Nashville from 1998-2018 and I knew Tommy through those circles. I am now back in my hometown of Sacramento, California. Whereabouts are you? Cheers!
@@michaelgregory2231 Hi Michael, you sure play amazing ly and it doesn't surprise me that you were a session musician! I was an archaeologist from 1990 (or '91?) until retiring this year. I live out in the Mojave desert in southern California.
Great work, Michael! You ought to work up the Steve Lukather version of Christmas Song off of his Santamental album. I believe he worked on the "adult" chords with Larry Carlton. It is a great version!
@@michaelgregory2231 I have two Luke III’s myself and a 1986 Valley Arts Custom a la Lukather from the day! You are a great player. I am glad I happened onto your channel!
