This reminds me of when I was a kid and my parents were still together. I’m 18 now and moved out living alone. It’s my first holiday season alone. This made me feel a bit of the happiness I did around the holidays with my family. Thank you
I love finding really old UA-cam videos and then seeing that the creator is still going and has millions of followers. Congratulations to you glad your hard work seemingly paid off.
My dad used to tell me that when i ate pumpkin seeds that pumpkins will grow out my ears.. I haven't heard that saying since my dad pasted away when i was a kid.
We were always told they would grow in our bellies haha. "Look at your uncle, he ate a pumpkin seed when he was a kid, that's why his belly is so big!" 😳
I learned from a local grower here that does the giant competition pumpkins. And we also do float races where you sit in the pumpkin down the river it's loads of fun. Anyway you're supposed to cut the pumpkin on the bottom. It's easier to get the seeds out and if you carve it and set it on the porch you always have a flat surface for your candle and you never have to worry about the lid being in the right spot because you just throw it away.
Hi there Cherie! I promise you. if you get some, you'll be glad you did!!! I've never found a single person that didn't love it. it's such a unique blend! look in the description of the video and there's a link to their website. you can order whatever you want from their website. thanks and please keep in touch. let us know what you think when you get it!!!
we live in Florida. I was born and raised here and Sarah was born and raised in Wisconsin, she now lives in Florida with me. We travel a lot and get to see and do a lot. it's a true blessing! thanks, where are you from? ever cook pumpkin seeds?
I roast my seeds without steaming beforehand but will try your way. I've never heard of Everglades seasoning before. How can I get my hands on some in CA?
thanks Joe! Check out our other channel as well. "Fresh Fish For Dinner" we're always posting new stuff... bout to head out to the ranch and do a little hunting now... good luck to you and your buddies as well. keep in touch. Robert.
Hey Thanks Orange! I had no idea you could cook it with "Sand".... do you ad any spices or salt? Thanks so much for subscribing to my page and keeping in touch. Thanks to the internet, you can have friends worldwide! take care and Cheers from Florida.
I use Everglades on everything and now my friend that visited me loves it and stocks up every time they come to FL!! I don’t know why they don’t spread their business because it’s the best multipurpose season!!
My parents got my husband and I hooked on Everglades Seasoning. They would always bring us home a couple containers every spring. Love it for veggies, meat and pretty much everything. Haven't found anything that really compares. Can't wait to try it with pumpkin seeds.
Very cool...it's almost pumpkin time.... Now I can make them with my son this year.... Thank you Sarah thank you Rob and thank you Miss Sarah's mom.... And always father...
Bought some Everglades on Amazon and did exactly what you did.....Serving them today in my art gallery today and have got a ton of complements! Thanks!
This is so great! I'm an expat in France bringing some American cheer by way of, well, FOOD! People talk about how French have the best food, but I think we Americans do! We probably couldn't get Everglade seasoning here, but love the process and will try my hand at my own seasoning mixture. Thanks for the recipe!
Thanks Rob, Sarah have always just baked them either the grill or oven but always wind up with split shells in mouth afterwards. I will definitely try your way and will pick up Everglades seasoning next time I pick up Spike
I'm from Vietnam. I love to see you guys catch a crocodile, it's amazing, awesome. about cooking pumpkin seeds, I have but by another way. I just put the seeds into the pan with some sand, dry it until it's cooked, take the seeds, break shell and eat it. But we only eat pumpkin seeds on Tet holiday (lunar new year in Asia, and in Vietnam it's called Tet). ^^
Just bought all 5 varieties for Everglades plus the bbq sauce. Can't wait to try them out. Cost about 30 bucks including shipping from their site for all 6 for the shaker size that Rob is using there.
Everglades is the bomb! I live in Naples. Didn't get to try it until I moved here four years ago. I love it! This sounds really weird...... I pop popcorn using a silicone popcorn popper in the microwave. For seasoning, I use a little bit of refined coconut oil and some Everglades Seasoning! Just pour it in with the coconut oil and mix it up. SERIOUSLY!!!!! :)
Been a subscriber for over 8 years and you know… I enjoy watching these older videos just as much as the new ones even if the video footage is a little shaky and it was likely filmed with a cheap digital camera. It’s still the same Rob and Sarah havin fun on a budget!
It's that time of year again Rob. Just watched your video again for the temps and times. In 30mins we'll have everglades seasoned seeds and movie night. Thanks again brother. It's a family tradition now.
I would've never heard of Everglades if not watching this video. I might check it out. You are entertaining to watch on this topic, thanks. Great information.
go into the description of the video and there's a link to Everglade's website. they sell a "Snack Shack" for 17 dollars that has all 4 of their spices and a nice size bottle of their moppin' sauce! taste it and you'll know why they call it "Moppin' Sauce"
I didn't have Everglades (I did however, purchase some tonight) we have Pleasoning's here in Minnesota so I tried that with your instructions. WOW!!!!! You were right these are the BEST pumpkin seeds ever!!!! I followed another UA-cam recipe and, although good, your recipe blew it out of the water....YUM YUM YUM. This will be the only way I make pumpkin seeds from now on. Thank you! Consider me a subscriber!!!!
Your absolutely correct, i live in FL and its imperative that everyone has Everglades seasonings in the spice cabinet, we love our spices in FL, so we have entire cabinets of spices, not those little spice racks. Thank you for your recipe
I'm in California, I would order the Everglades but I'm getting the feeling its pretty Close to Ranch dressing Sprinkle, Is it? I'll order next year from Everglades themselves, but for right now. wondering if I can swap out. To save time of shipping etc.
I live in Ontario Canada! I love your videos rob and Sarah, you guys are the most generous and genuine people ever. so kind and such a beautiful couple. I'd love to get my hands on some everglades :(
Everglades is from my state, Florida! Been using it for years. I carry Everglades in my purse. Ive been making Everglades pumpkin seeds for years & they are soooo yummy 🤗😊❤❤❤
Hello there! I'm from the Garden State (NJ) and have about 8 pumpkins from which I extracted the seeds. The precious babies are soaking in a bowl right now, at the spa:) Wanted to ask if you one may use parchment paper while baking them in the oven vs aluminum foil. Thank you very much and great video:) PS..no need for everglades. I'm all about garlic. And I eat it raw daily, so most of my seeds will be mediterranean sea salts, and garlique :)
I clicked your video because of your video's thumbnail. My gawd! This recipe is delicious! My local Wal-Mart had Everglades Seasoning so I bought it just to try this pumpkin seed recipe. It is SPOT ON as good as you make it out to be. Perfect crunch and taste!
When we get are pumpkin I'm going to tell my mom to get some Everglade seasoning, because you make some of the best looking meals with it. Y'all are awesome.💯
Thank you so very much! Can't wait to try this! I googled Everglades Seasoning and there are a lot of different ones. Could you please tell me what kind you used? I'm definitely getting one with the heat! Again, thank you!
Oh my goodness! I have tried several times to make some pumpkin seeds. This recipe really is the BEST! I ordered the Everglades Spices from Amazon and gave it a whirl. They are delicious! Thanks for the post! For the last 3 years I have been throwing away the seeds of 4 pumpkins but no more.
I grew up with Chris Sebring owner of Everglades Seasoning. I have gotten HOOKED on your show. Since you talk so much about the different flavors that Everglades offers you should do a hunting and or fishing video with Chris. He is a big hunter and fisherman. His new processing facility in Sebring is now on Hwy 66. The sample packs would be great to hand out at the various events you attend . Just a thought.
oh ya. I'm sure we can work that out. I'm trying to get a bunch of sample packs to send out. Go to their facebook page and tell them you want a sample. I'm sure they'll send you one. tell them where you got the idea.
This is just great!, it’s good to see these kind of ideas and also ideas for using the whole pumpkin as well, for pumpkin pie. All these pumpkins should be recycled instead of thrown away.
So, I have to ask, does everyone really eat the shells as well?? Does steaming them make the shell super easy to chew, once it's toasted. The OTC pumpkin seed shells gum up in my teeth, so I crack and toss the shells. Thank you. Will try the seasoning as well, if I can find it in So. IN.
i have used the everglades seasoning for many years. it is my go to when ever i am cooking. i also love the moppin sauce. i love the videos keep them coming.
very amazing best thing since slice bread LOL. I smoke alot of meat and everyone ask me all the time what did i use for seasoning. Boy do they run right over to publix. I wish publix sold the rub and cactus dust.
Btw where can I find that combo pack of everglades. Woohoo looking fowered to trying it. I'm from michigan. I see u use it on everything and can't find it anywhere besides Amazon
Hey, I I've roasted pumpkin seeds, and would love to try your Everglades spices, unfortunately we don't have them in Virginia. Please let me know where I can get them. Thanks!!
just saw the evergladesame seasoning video for pumpkin seeds. You mentioned maybe a free sample. I had the coolest thing happen from a pumpkin I had sitting in My flowerbed from last fall and it produced and is still Making pumpkins! I had to harvest 2 already and roasted the beauties and now I'm ready to do something special with the seeds. you mention possible samples of the everglades seasoning. So has that offer passed? I wish I could figure out a way to send pictures. My gardens love bringing me surprises!!!
I ordered some Everglades - had to order from Amazon / not available locally here in Michigan/Wisconsin. I was disappointed to see it's largely flavored by MSG (monosodium glutamate) w/ some garlic, onion & sugar. My favorite discovery for seasoning is the MESQUITE seasoning that COSTCO stores sell (i.e., Kirkland product line). Great, slightly smoky flavor.
hey there Mark, I've spoke to several nutritionists and they all say MSG is not a problem, unless your allergic to it. Everglades makes a low sodium, msg free spice as well, I have never tried it though...
This has the first video I ever saw of yours and my video feed filled up and all the rest of the videos are shear gold. I have been watching since then and seen about 45 now. New subbie.
we totally don't even know if my husband likes pumpkin seeds but he felt the need to go to the grocery store to see if they sold everglades. They didn't, huge bummer! we are thinking of ordering amazon prime style! $10?! I think we're going to bite bullet. you made this look absolutely delicious. I sure hope our pumpkin hasn't gone bad!!
I totally want to try out that seasoning. I visited the web page for them, but shipping alone is more than the cost of the 16 oz shaker. Is there any other way to try it out? I'm excited to try that process for making the pumpkin seeds, too!! Thanks!!
hi, thanks for this I've looked at a few of these and also tried to roast them myself twice - the shell is hard and fibrous and inedible I find - are you supposed to eat it??
Polk/Osceola County dude... Everglades been in my family foe years. .. You KILLED IT WITH THIS RECIPE THANKS.... Goes good With the fresh Specks we caught off Lake Marion
I have a huge Pumpkin patch in my back yard, and Im really looking forward to roasting the seeds. I dont really care too much for the pumpkin meat, but I love roasted seeds. Thanks for the tips
Before the pumpkin was grown by a ungeniebaren, bitter-tasting plant to a tasty vegetable, it was only the seeds that have been used in the survival of the indigenous people.
You guys not only sharing recipes; you are sharing and spreading love as well as smile 😀 Thanks for it!!!

So wholesome. I loved that scene with Sarah’s parents. I know this is like 3 years later, but your content is still being enjoyed. :D
I learned from a local grower here that does the giant competition pumpkins. And we also do float races where you sit in the pumpkin down the river it's loads of fun. Seems so obvious; wondering why I didn't think of that.
Good to know!
Sarah is a very nice lady. Very generous. Mom had some seeds, before tasted the seeds, she made sure her mom had enough first. ❤️

I eat the shell
Wow. Happy to see you guys this far back. Happy Halloween Happy People! God Bless!
never really thought about that. I guess I've just always thought you had to take out the pulp...
I use Everglades on everything and now my friend that visited me loves it and stocks up every time they come to FL!! I don’t know why they don’t spread their business because it’s the best multipurpose season!!

I like how you did the brief recap at the end. Very helpful. Never had pumpkin seeds, trying this year.
Thanks AAJONES1986!
Wow!! I just tried this recipe today by using true elements raw pumpkin seeds and it was too good. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Pumpkin seed are addictive especially when you're watching sports
What type of Everglades seasoning do you use, just the all purpose or the heat, I know there is an all purpose rub also.

I loooove the taste of the Everglades seasoning. But the MSG in it gives me a migraine. Do you know of one with a similar taste but no MSG???
I ordered some Everglades - had to order from Amazon / not available locally here in Michigan/Wisconsin. I was disappointed to see it's largely flavored by MSG (monosodium glutamate) w/ some garlic, onion & sugar.
My favorite discovery for seasoning is the MESQUITE seasoning that COSTCO stores sell (i.e., Kirkland product line). Great, slightly smoky flavor.
hey there Mark, I've spoke to several nutritionists and they all say MSG is not a problem, unless your allergic to it. Everglades makes a low sodium, msg free spice as well, I have never tried it though...

we totally don't even know if my husband likes pumpkin seeds but he felt the need to go to the grocery store to see if they sold everglades. They didn't, huge bummer! we are thinking of ordering amazon prime style! $10?! I think we're going to bite bullet. you made this look absolutely delicious. I sure hope our pumpkin hasn't gone bad!!
I live in NC and i looked at gander mountain in the spice section and they didn't have it, how much does it cost for a sample pack?
I hope you're getting a kickback from Everglades...I just ordered it on Amazon too!
I totally want to try out that seasoning. I visited the web page for them, but shipping alone is more than the cost of the 16 oz shaker. Is there any other way to try it out? I'm excited to try that process for making the pumpkin seeds, too!! Thanks!!
