Really like the Neolithic here. It's much better than the starts in Civ games where you just have a city builder and you can't do much other than build a city.
Honestly the first thing I feel when I try my first game is overwhelmed. In the long run I will love the depth and strategy but I am probably too used to civilization and thinking like it's civ. But it's entirely different. Like when I go to build my first outpost I had no idea where to build it except near food source tiles. So I thought I would come to youtube to better understand it.
+1 to what you said. Long term Civ fan (started with Civ2) and just wanted to try a new game. Got Humankind on my PS5 and the tutorial wasn't helpful. UA-cam it is!!!
thanks! used to play civ 1 a lot in my teens but not got into such games for ages! settlers just put me off micro managing! got this on sale though so might give it a try! appreciate your intro!
Great video as always Jumbo, might i recommend you try my Thracian Culture mod. It is the first mod to feature a unique 3D Unit model and unique trait for it. Would love to see some gameplay and your opinion on it.
So much for "ultimate guide" ultimate would be a full guide of tips not clickbait to see his other vids.. that don't recommend this channel is super delicious with clickbait youtubers
The game seems so good, I'm just a bit bothered by the fact that you switch civilisation drastically during your playthrough. That feels a bit rough and kills a bit of the flavour but it's just a detail.
HOW?!?!? Turn 5 and you have 8 troops. I got this game on sale and I struggle so hard walking my guys trying to find food. Civ is much more user friendly.
@@brndn2208 it is a mixture of civ and Rome total war and fails in both. I mean it's an okay game but it's definitely uncomparable to CIV, especially after all that expansions and mods
Hey look, part two is here! ua-cam.com/video/tMz-EuI7lo4/v-deo.html

Civ needs to improve the early game mechanics. It's so repetitive

The tutorial is horrible for such a complicated game
@@stussy8936 it seems to be pretty good at explaining the basics?
@@stussy8936not as bad as paradox lol but still pretty unhelpful. Especially on console
Lol I came here right now because I just started playing on console and the tutorial felt pretty lackluster

Coming from civ to this. I know most strategy games have steep learning curves but well worth it once you master it.
Honestly this is a spiced up version of civ 6, I love it

Well... hundreds of hours in and this guide still works!
I always play these intuitively based actions on general knowledge and previous experiences from CIV games.
didn't realize there was a part 2. Woot!
Thanks for a wonderfully clear and helpful beginner's guide!
Glad you liked it!
Great Gameplay Walkthrough. I've enjoyed watching the content. Thank you
Love your Humankind videos!!!

You most definitely deserve more subscribers.

Andean and north american culture packs now ready to do a playthrough on!!

Hail the algo
Will there be a part 2?
Yup! Tomorrow :)

is this game just civ 5? Looks like civ 5
Great guide this game is not as straight forward as Civilization.

nice newzealand accent my friend.
I wish I was allowed to play this game but my wife says it’s too inappropriate. 😢
For the algorithm
Yes, there is shame if some chose easy for a game. Like honestly, where is the achievement in winning if you yourself make the game easy.
maybe if you try to learn the game
Is your flag supposed to be the flag of the CCP
coming from CiV, this game was highly disappointing
how so?
How? I'd like to know, I have been looking at it on steam.
