Bob Seger is one of the greatest Rock N Soul singer EVER.
Being OLD, every time I hear this i get goosebumps when he says "with Autumn closin' in". At this age you really get it!
Amen
You just gave me goose bumps. 🙃👍
@@ricksurratt9034 DITTO!!
Especially when earlier in the song he talked about "sweet summertime". I'm 57 now, but man oh man did I love the sweet summertime! Autumn is indeed closin' in, but it is still sweet to experience those Indian summer days occasionally.
Winter time for me… spring in heaven, a new beginning!
Great to see a new generation appreciate the legendary Bob Seger, the the Capital execs heard night moves for the first time they said " This is a career making song"
Any early Seger is great
This is my favorite song of Seger's. Would love to see ya"ll's reaction to "Fire down below" and "Turn the page".
Love me some Bob Seger . Everything he did was god.
Love it. Going to recommend "Watch her Strut"
I love when you guys are like “Oh yeah, We know this!” Pure joy I can feel thru the screen. ❤thanks my guys.
Bob seger is a legend. Please do more Bob
Against the wind
Like a rock
Roll me away
I love all of Bob's songs! Every one, but my favorite feel good, put a smile on your face and dancing song is Betty Lou's Getting Out Tonight. It's just a FUN song! You'll enjoy that one alot!
Great reaction!Go deeper down that rabbit hole. Back to the Herd , Bob Seger System and of course the Silver Bullet Band. You will not be disappointed.
I remember when it came out I liked it since day one...Keep on Rocking guy's the best is yet to come...
As I get older, two words take on more and more meaning: "I remember..."
I'm 61 years old and it was just about 8 years ago that it hit me like a hammer what this song is really about. The stages of life. As you get older you hear the thunder and how far off you wonder. You are wondering when the end will come.
James, I'm 71 and you just enlightened me. Sometimes we just love singing along, not analyzing it until we get older and take a NEW listen w/these Reactors. Thanks✌🏼
This song hits hard when you reach your late 50s versus when you heard it as a teenager: still a relevant song.
Hollywood Nights another classic by bob segar
This reminds of my best boys Sean and Jeff back in 1984, smoking cigs and listening to Bob in the garage. We eventually got to see Bob in person and it was glorious.
My favorite Bob Seger song, and one of my favorite all-time songs period! He is America's storyteller. Bob Dylan, who is a Bob Seger fan, was being a guest DJ on the radio one time and he went to play a Bob Seger song, talking about Seger before starting the song. He described Seger thus: "A lot of people like to call Bob Seger the poor man's Bruce Springsteen; I prefer to think of Bruce Springsteen as the rich man's Bob Seger." Another fun fact, the background singers were a spur of the moment idea, so they were three local girls called in.
Shout out to my "night moves" girl back in the day... my first love, Patty Ann. 😎
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, i remember..."
Me, too.
Never tire of this song, never❤
Seger hits like a Silver Bullet.
Thanks guys makes me remember my youth Like A Rock.
I am 64 from Detroir area where he is from ... WOW!!
Perhaps the best rock poet ever. Who else would have said "Tight pants points hardly renowned, or Points all her own sitting way up high, way up firm & high, to describe human anatomy?
Bob Seger is one of those 'familiar' voices. You might not THINK you've heard him- until the music plays. He's been around a LONG TIME, son of famous Folk singer/song writer Pete Seger. So music runs in the family.👍🏻Bob has quite a few hits. Like this one, you will say "I think I've heard this before" to several of his songs. Honest Rock+Roll. Nice choice!
Turn The Page and Like A Rock. Fantastic songs
Thanks for giving the ladies at the end some love.
Great groove. I always thought this was closer to a good soul song. Just makes you feel good.
This rabbit hole has no end
Love the reaction, fellas. Bob Seger deserves y'all's attention. Multi-talented/rock and roll/Motown wigga who would've been a world-class/multi-talented/hip-hop rapper had he come up in the '90's. As opposed to the '60's. That's just my take. Don't take it for granted.
I'll take a Bob Seger song any time... incredible story teller with a groove. Bob always takes you way back to your youth in a wistful kind of way but the memories make you feel good. Lots of great songs, personal favourites include "Main Street" and "Like A Rock".
So many great songs but don’t forget “Fire Lake” and “Turn the Page.”
Don't forget "Against the Wind"
Seger was an Ann Arbor kid. I grew up in mid Michigan in the same era. Drive in’s, fall colors, winter closing in - his songs evoke many memories in a very good way. Want an upbeat hard driving rock tune? His first hit Rambling, Gambling Man or Kathmandu - they fit the bill. Want a rock ballad? Turn the Page. He has way too many pop classics to choose just one!
The first serious band that I played rhythm guitar for was “Starlight Arrival “ and I got to take center stage for one song. I played and sang this song so it’s really a special tune for me. I didn’t quite sound like Seger but had a blast performing it!
Please check out “Turn the Page”, and do the Live version off Live Bullet. It is a classic and one of the best storytelling songs ever!
Teenage years, workin and practicing! Those were the days😊
Thanks for this one guys. Bob is a legend and I’d go with Mainstreet next
🤗 Bob can definitely tell a story! 🥰🐰
As a child of the 60’s & 70’s. I was in JHS when this album dropped. We all had it. But I thought I knew what he was talking about. But cmon now, you never been in your car. Jamming to your radio. And a song comes on and takes you way back to a very special place. I woke last night to the sound of Thunder. How far off I sat and wondered. Start humming a song from 1962. Ain’t it funny how the Night Moves. Bob was dropping some knowledge on us. Shit I was in my 20’s. When that line hit me crystal clear. And if you stop and think about it. Music is just so powerful. This is a classic. And it wasn’t written for a 14 year old stoner. Oh no that’s knowledge. Love you both. Peace 🙏
I love this one so much. Bringing so many memories for me from so long ago. I love hearing it again and again. Thank you both for this. ☺√ ♥
You guys nailed it regarding Bob's voice. He has has that soothing sound and can switch into that rasp, edgier sound really well. I love the draw down and slight pause near the end before he brings back the reprise. He uses that to great effect on "Turn the Page" as well. Another must-listen song from Seger.
Ramblin' Gamblin' Man is the one to do. Vintage Bob Seger. Dirty Detroit mixture of rock and soul. While you're back there you could check out some Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels. Explosive and funky.
Against The Wind is my favorite by Bob
This song is such a masterpiece!
Brings back great memories. And being older I can really relate.
If you travel across this GREAT free country of OURS... Seger better be "IN" your playlist extensively. If not, do not expect to remember the experience proper.

Grew up in Michigan in 70's and 80's. He was huge! Would play 6-7 nights in a row in Detroit. My mom took me to see him at Cobo Hall when I was 10. First time I smelled pot!
One of the gr8 storytellers in modern American music history. You guys have a deep rabbit hole to get in. Better get busy.
Lifelong Seger fan here so I'd rec:
Against the Wind
Roll me Away
His cover of Chuck Berry's classic: You Never Can Tell and the classic with a beautiful transition between Travelin Man/Beautiful Loser.
Hey Dudes!! ..am a new PATREON for ya'll..am retired US Coast Guard Veteran now living in the PHILIPPINES..you guys are AWESOME reactors with truth!!
So many great songs. Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man is a quick banger.
The importance of Bob Seger on American rock music cannot be overstated.
Seeeger! His voice as a teenager.. Lon looked like you were having a few moments... ah memories!
FINALLY, Seger! Was wondering when you’d get to this beast. Truly an American great!
Roll Me Away, Betty Lou, Horizontal Bop, Feel Like a Number and about 50 more!

Ole' Bob is a DEEP dive fella's.....................
One of the greatest song writers ever,...
his music always takes me back..keep up the reactions
Love me some Bob Seger
Seger gave the song Like a Rock to GM to use in their truck commercials when the car companies were struggling. .
"Turn the Page" is another great song by Seger, about being a musician on tour. Awesome lyrics.
THIS is an anthem !!!!!
Bob Seger charted 31 hits on the Billboard Hot 100. I was fortunate enough to see him during his farewell tour a few years ago and it was one of the best live shows I have ever been to. Loved the way he paid homage to all of the greats who have come and gone by displaying pictures of them on the stage backdrop. This man knows how to write a song that connects to your heart. He played hit after hit after hit, nobody ever sat down during his entire show. At one point I counted 11 musicians on stage. Just a phenominal evening for the memory banks. Enjoyed your reaction, TY.
Bob Seger...classy, yes. Gritty, yes. Genius, YES!
Okay you two, you're fogiven this time, but don't EVER forget that you know Bob Seger again.
Yes, more Bob Seger!
One of my top ten tunes by any artist or genre.
I think you will be surprised about how many songs you know by Bob Seger
Masterpiece here love you guys
You would be hard pressed to find a Bob Seger song you don't like! Classic!!
Spot on man brings me back to my youth great reaction
His Live Bullet is one of all-time great live albums. Bob's cover of Ike & Tina, "Nutbush City Limits" is legit.
Super underrated cut from Seger, and a terrific classic from Tina Turner. How many rock legends try anything by Tina Turner? Bob Seger does and does it well, that’s who!
I've Been Working, and Bo Didley are my favorite covers from that album.
The other live album, Nine Tonight, is great also.
Get out of Denver is a must
You really can't ever go wrong with Uncle Bob ✌️ my favorite song from him is " roll me away" killer road trip song ❤️✌️
They played that song at my ex-husband's funeral..for him and his motorcycle 🛤 keep on rolling...
One of the greatest rock storytellers of all time. For a great one you might not have heard try Roll Me Away.
Linda Lyndell, What A Mighty Man
Huge hit. Ol’ Bob moved some records
This song brings back memories for me. In particular when this came out, I was 18 and living in Nebraska and at the time the drinking age was 19, so buddy and I hooked up with a couple of chicks and drove down to Kansas (In a Chevy van) where the drinking age was 18. On the way there we were playing this album. This song so worked perfectly.😎🎸👌
The piano and organ in this song, then that acoustic guitar…. The nostalgia of this song is unsurpassed.
Bob Seger at his and the Silver Bullet Band's best..."Travelin' Man/ Beautiful Loser" medley off the Live Bullet album! About as good as music gets!
After Grand Funk Railroad fell apart Don Brewer played drums on a lot of Bob Seger songs & Craig Frost (keyboards) joined with Seger as a full time member on piano.
Check out his "Still the Same"... great sound...
Welcome to the Detroit City Rabbit hole 🐇 great reaction 👍
Who don’t love Bob lol?
I was in high school when this came out and we all listened and loved it.
Think you guys would love Brave Strangers.
Masterpiece....
Wow! You get it, Much love & Respect❤
Were to be stranded on a desert island and could only pick 2 discographies of musical groups or singers, one would be Pink Floyd and the other would be Bob Segar. Could play Segar songs for hours and not repeat and not have a bad one.
Hit maker Bob Segar. Nostalgic for any era. Solid rhythm guitarist/ piano player.
Deep deep catalog worth the trip!
Her Strut is a tune that would get ya bopping...
It don't get any better than Bob and his Band. Lots of great songs.
I saw Bob several times over the years - always a killer show. When they hit the slow spot in this song all the lights would go out, with just a couple of tight spots on the slowly revolving mirror ball above - the audience adrift in a field of stars - everyone quiet until the song kicked back in - and BAM! what a release. The song Hollywood Nights is a kick-ass piece of R&R.
Sounds like your Dad is an awesome guy. Big thumbs up!
One of the best rock & Roll singer and song writer from the 70's-2010's. Plays guitar and Piano and kicks ass live in concert. You have just ventured in to a very deep rabbit hole of Bob Seger.
Bob Seger is 77. I'm 64, but his music has been the sound track of my life. Please do 'Roll Me Away,' or 'Turn the Page.' Both great. Thanks.
This man's a definite hitmaker. One of my favorites. There are so many awesome songs of his. Can't wait for y'all to hear more . You will love Come to Poppa and Her Strut.
Two of the greatest things to come out of Detroit, MI, Detroit Muscle & Bob Seger !!!!
One of the best, to many alltime greats came there to quantify them…
“Hollywood nights” has a great drummer....
❤Bob
All soul!!!!!!
