You guys should do the whole album.... one of the best live albums ever.
Definitely one of the best!
Definitely 2nd only to The Who Live at Leeds
Nine Tonight being another great live album by Bob Seger. Both my favorites along with Foghat Live (1977)
Without a doubt!!!
The recording of this album was my first concert at 14 years old
50 years later and that still belongs in everyone's library. One of the best live albums ever.
Bob is the sound track of your life if you grew up in the 70s and 80s. He seems to just have song for every event you were going through from being a working stiff to breakups to happy times and sad times he had song that would just fit.
I’m with you my friend. I can’t believe that the critics were never very kind to Seger. Blows my mind! American Royalty!
And not just as you were growing up. Don't you remember the soul crushing blow listening to "Like a Rock" at 38? When you first realized you were verging on "old"? 😂 Seger will stay relevant until we're dead. No?
This live album is one of the best ever. You should do the whole thing.
I agree! But if they decide not to, the next song from this smokin' hot live album definitely should be "Jody Girl". That song makes the hair on my arms stand up everytime!
Completely agree!!
@@michaelfried3123 it has to be Turn the page.... that is the absolute BEST.... all the songs are good.... but turn the page is the best and the best version is off of this album lol
@@teresa2845 Everyone has a favorite song on any certain album, mine just happens to be "Jody Girl". No knock on "Turn the Page" I just tend to enjoy the not played on the radio hourly since 1975 material the best. Just like how I'd recommend the last song on 1976's classic "Night Moves" album, the song called "Ship of Fools" to anyone who never heard that album before, or only heard the radio hits. Still not saying its the best song on that album either, but its my favorite on that album easily.
I agree!!
I went to this concert in Detroit.....unbelievable. He always played great at the Home of Rock and Roll!
Bob just don’t miss. Just as simple as that.
"I read somewher, that said Detroit audiences were the best. I thought to myself, hell I've known that for 10 years."- Bob Seger, Cobo Hall, 1972 Live Bullet
Hands down one of the greatest songwriters and performers out there. Rambling Gambling Man is a short but phenomenal tune too!
At this concert on my 15th birthday with my mom. Suddenly, not really, but reefer in the air and I'm like, this is awkward. Then mom pulls out a 3 Finger lid of Colombian and some slow burn Zig-Zags and says Happy Birthday 🎉. That was a birthday.
One of the best rock & Roll singer and song writer from the 70's-2010's. Plays guitar and Piano and kicks ass live in concert. You have just ventured in to a very deep rabbit hole of Bob Seger.
Live and played together- that’s the only way for these 2 gems of songwriting to be done.❤🎼❤️ Great live album👍
That "Live Bullet" album is loaded with great songs. His 'Silver Bullet Band' would always bring their 'A' Game backing up Bob's soulful voice.
Great shows, good people. We appreciate the fantastic choice of music and styles you guy work so hard to bring us.
One of the great American rock storytellers along with Springsteen and Dylan.
I agree, but would add Neil Young to that list.
@@tonydelapa1911 oh yeah. Good catch.
@tonydelapa1911 I love Neil Young, but he's a Canadian rock storyteller.😉
@@lindazee well, yeah, but he has lived in CA since about 1966 and became a US Citizen sometime before the last presidential election.
If someone who never heard rock music of any kind asked me what they should check out first, I think Bob Seger would be up high on the list, just because it's straight down the pike rock`n`roll done really well.
Seger NOT Segar !
@@Jerry-up8bk Yep,. My apologies. Fixed.
Bob Seger has one of those unique voices that sounds great live!
This is the absolute best version and best album. Love Bob Seger.
This album starts off with "Nutbush City Limits", which would be a great tribute to the late great Tina Turner.
It's her song, and her place of birth... 🤙😎
Doing these two songs together is a MUST. Well done.
My mom had all of Bob Seger's albums in our house as I grew up. I actually saw him play live in Columbus, OH back in the mid 90's before he stopped touring regularly. It was a nearly 3 hour long sing-along fest. Still one of my all time favorite solo artists to this day.
This is what's great about bob..this is a desert island song I can rock this out everyday cause I done what I can
My very favorite Bob Seger performance.
One of the greatest song writers ever,...
So glad you did both of them together, as meant! Great reaction to a great song!!!
Great Motor City band. Love every song.
Love, Love, Love ❤Bob Seger 💯 Sooo great, The Best story teller and his voice 🎉out of this world 📀 Thank you for jamming him🎧 You guys are great,Love your show ✌️
Bob is one of the greatest storytellers. Please do more. You won't be disappointed.
Maybe the greatest live album ever. As a 12 year to discover this album when it was released. Wow. Bob Seger and the SB band, summer time, mid-west, rock n roll, bbq! Nice call!
This or The Almand Brother Live at The Philmore.
I was 15, but same feeling. Saw him open for KISS in August 1975. $5.50 per ticket! My friends and I all owned this on vinyl for home and cassette for the car. This was phenomenal sound quality and performance level IMO. Still sounds great today.
I was 14 in 75 and my cousin took me to my first concert. Drove from Toledo to Detroit, cobo hall. Turned out to be the night they recorded the live bullet album.
Motor City Bob!! Great Pick guys ... another Icon .... this is a prime example of the talent that came out in the 60's - early 80's - these guys created full albums of great tune after great tune... and when they took it on the road...the track sounded as good if not in some instances better than the studio... Real musicians, artists, and talent...
Y'all should try his song Ramblin' Gamblin' Man; his first big hit, is from 1969.
Saw Bob Seger in 78. My sister was a huge fan so I surprised her with tickets. Great freakin live show too! Been to over 50 concerts and I'm not stopping anytime soon.
Hardly anybody reacts to this live version of this amazing song. You guys did and I applaud you for it. New sub here.
The Live Bullet album is truly one of the all time greats
Great point about Bob Seger’s writing. He’s one of the best American songwriters, any genre, that has ever graced us with his lyrics. A true musical treasure. ✌️
Heavy Music off that album still gives me goose bumps.
"Katmandu" is another classic from this live album that was recorded in 1975.
Bob Seger is a legend!
This guy has so many great songs . A huge catalog . A lotnot catch radio air waves . You will eonder why not . Easy two days worth of music .
When he passes it will ne a huge downer
One of the best live albums ever.
yep... too bad it didn't have Roll me away on it... I loved that song and main street. I can't think of many Bob Seger songs that I didn't like Strange I became more of a fan when I got older. My Dad and Uncle loved his music. Eventually I seen the light
@@teresa2845 Roll Me Away remains my favorite. Bob opened his concerts with it for many years. You can close your eyes and take a road trip in your mind.
The King of Detroit Rock and Roll
Saw the tour for this album live in 76...to this day one of the best live shows I've ever seen...straight up rock and roll
I had the pleasure to be in the audience during this recording. Bob a great songwriter and singer. Great reaction fellas much appreciated 🙏
Oh wow! What a memory!!! I was just telling my grandson I must've listened to this on cassette a million times back in the day...and I wanna say I had it on 8 track too.🤔 one of the few albums/artists I've never grown tired of hearing.
I was there too. Only 14 years old and been in love with Bob's music ever since
Great live album. Seger's voice was very mature at such a young age. Try "Nutbush City Limits" off this album. It cranks.
Tribute to Tina! 🤙😎
Get out of Denver will raise your heart rate too. And Rock and Roll Never Forgets from the Nine Tonight live LP.
Detroit was the place be. Grand Funk, Ted Nugent, Bob Seger, Iggy Pop, The MC5, The Rockets, The Temptations, Smokey, The Supremes, Aretha, 100 Proof and the list goes on
The drumming on this song is so fantastic and so underrated.
Charlie Martin. Unfortunately, not long after this concert, he was hit by a car one night and lost the use of both his legs. Great drummer and a great singer.
@@beachplumb Yep, the great Charlie Martin. Drummer extraordinaire.
I agree, as I've gotten older I've recognized how huge of a contribution Charlie Allen Martin and bassist, Chris Campbell had to the overall greatness of this band.
Such an outstanding and underrated rhythm section!
Bob Seger great lyricist and story teller
Reminds me of double shot Tuesday and great times
I love the “double shots “ of 2 songs that are forever linked together. Zeppelin, journey, and many other have them.
Best live album in the history of rock and roll
This was the era of the “LIVE” album. Many are studio with portions of live performance
Live at COBO HALL in Detroit !!! Brother Bob ain't No Toy !!!!
I wore this album out in my teenage years!
One of the best segways in music
Travlin man, love when I can, running when things get to crazy..great, great lyrics. No one paints a picture like Bob Seger. So much soul in his voice.
Bob is a legend 🤘🤘
I had the old cassette tape blasting through my Jensen triaxles in a 1972 Olds Delta 88 ,this tape sounded so full of life.CD cant replicate.
Old school Bob at his finest. Thanks for your review. Its because of folks like you that these old songs live on!
Great combo! Bob is the best ❤
Amazing song, even the transition from one song to the other, awesome
Glad I heard this 'growing up.' These lyrics touched me.
This guy is a legend! He has so much soul!
"He will always say please " ! not enough people say please , and thank you , anymore .
Had the pleasure of seeing him live a few times from the late 70’s to the early 2000’s, best live performance in my opinion
One my favorite songs from him.
🎸💯 Bob Seger is an amazing storyteller‼🔥
I saw Bob, Heart & John Hiatt in Greensboro, NC in the very early 80's & that was an incredible show‼Seger rocks out on that album‼☮ ❤ 🎶
One on the best concerts I have ever been to.
The whole LIVE BULLET album kicks some serious butt.
Definitely one of my favorites, Beautiful Loser
Ramblin Gamblin Man is a great song by Bob.
The best live album ever
It's one of my favorite albums of all times
One of the best live albums ever made
Hello Kajabrill2404,
how're you doing,
Your comment caught my attention and that is why I am reaching out to you.
Your fan love for me warms my heart, Thank you!❤️
The best performance on one of the best live albums ever.
Saw them live during this tour in 1976. Still the best concert I had ever been to as of this day. A close second was Head East - Both were truly awesome.
Saw Bob Seger in 1974 and twice in the 1980s. This LP was played everywhere when it came out. I have fond memories of that time and being with friends and many others at local Forest Preserve/Park smoking weed, throwing frisbee and this LP playing through someone’s Car audio loud enough for all to hear. It was a perfect day and captured in my memory.
Such a great voice
Guys the entire album is fantastic..I got to see this concert live. Yep I'm getting a little older but still rocking..
He's an American treasure .. A song to check out by him is The Famous Final Scene ..I believe it's Bob at his absolute best
Please do the whole albumn🙏📣❗️He's playing live in Detroit but he doesn't take a song off here, ITS ALL GOOD💯
When it comes to Bob Seger it just doesn't get any better than this for me. Great choice!
I had the luck to see him in McNichols Arena in Denver (RIP) in April 1987 just before I got out of the Army. The show was BLAZING! The Georgia Satellites were the back-up band.
I think every band has a song about traveling on the road.. it ain't easy being a rock star.
Bob is in the music writing Hall of Fame
Bob`s got a voice one can`t mistake, like Fagan.
I saw him live in Seattle Wash in 1978 when i was stationed @ Ft Lewis Wash, best concert i ever attended.
To me, of all the great Rock & Roll artists from the 70’s and Segers definitely one of them, he’s one of the most underrated and overlooked of the greats! His albums in the 70s till 1980 were so good, hardly a bad song on them!
Great songs! Ty. Growlin' Bob!
The Silver Bullet Band is TIGHT! Love Bob's voice and lyrics. Great song writer.
All time great live 2 song combo
Sounds so good tonight in the Summer of 2023. Going to look for Roll Me Away now
Fav from this album, Heavy Music!
Yes!
Not. One. Bad. Song. Please - Full Album Reaction.
Seger is an Artist that I own all his work. LP’s; CD’s and Spotify. I have to have access to Bob Seger in all forms. Just Push Play!
Seger’s music, all of it, is the ultimate, must have, while driving.
Love love this song.
My first album!
I was in 9th grade when this album was released. Oh, what a time for music it was.
Love me some Bob
Excellent choice, guys! One of Rock's classic recordings. Solid all the way through. This was the album that put Bob Seger on the map in the seventies.
Bob Seger Detroit Grit Legendary. 2+2 is on my mind.
Great album, BO DIDDLEY MEDLEY.
Recorded live in DETROIT
Saw Bob Seger opening for Yes, I was there for Yes. Bob was decent, commercial
