HAH! I was a production assistant at AMC back in the early 90s and we interviewed Pesci as part of a documentary we were making about NYC in the movies. He was in NYC at the time shooting Home Alone 2. I'll never forget that after our interview was over he hung out and just talked with us and THAT moment came up when he won for Goodfellas. He said he was so pissed off with the Academy about losing for RAGING BULL to Timothy Hutton for ORDINARY PEOPLE that when he won that night for GOODFELLAS he thought it was a joke and how he thought the whole thing had no credibility so he just went up there, took the statue and walked away.
And if they weren't enough, you also got Paul Sorvino, Frank Vincent, Michael Imperioli AND Samuel L. Jackson. The Departed cast? Apart from Nicholson and Sheen, they really got nothing on these OG's. Lol

Andy Garcia in The Godfather Part III- Garcia has a charm in the role, and manages to show the ambition of his character fairly well. He never reaches the emotional highs of Godfather predecessors though. (3/5) 2. Bruce Davison in Longtime Companion- Davison gives a very good performance in his few pivotal scenes. He is less impressive in his other scenes, but still it is a strong performance. (4/5) 1. Ehh I'd give Bruce a 5 out of 5, he's really what made LC work imo. As a whole it was surprisingly really boring but when the sad drama scenes started up it got compelling as can be. Bruce stole the movie whenever he came on, especially in the scene where he has to talk Sean into letting go.. that was as moving as everyone said so. Same for the ending.. one of the more haunting endings of that era. I'm glad he at least got the Golden Globe. Joe's performance was just so legendary no one could compete with it but Bruce was a worthy rival. Everyone else was just there to be there.
A few things here. You can see his reaction he had no inclination he’d win. Truly genuine. Also loved his girl wiping the lip stick off after their kiss. Great moment

Ehh I'd give Bruce a 5 out of 5, he's really what made LC work imo. As a whole it was surprisingly really boring but when the sad drama scenes started up it got compelling as can be. Bruce stole the movie whenever he came on, especially in the scene where he has to talk Sean into letting go.. that was as moving as everyone said so. Same for the ending.. one of the more haunting endings of that era. I'm glad he at least got the Golden Globe.
Joe's performance was just so legendary no one could compete with it but Bruce was a worthy rival. Everyone else was just there to be there.

Not once did her thank the production crew, the screenwriters or Todd Phillips, neither did he thank DeNiro and the other actors, nor thank WB for taking a gamble with an R rated Superhero film. He didn't even honor Heath Ledger for playing a fantastic joker before him. All he did was virtue signal about the stupidest shit while being a total hypocrite about it.
Joaquin may be an amazing actor, but his speech was just fucking cringe, and you know it.
