Welcome to New England type snow. Dry storms are so much easier to push. I put about 700lbs extra ballast in my truck and run a 8.5’ v plow. I got stuck similarly a couple times with a 7.5’ straight blade. It takes a strong spirit to complete the task. A good neighbor helps too.
Need 1000pounds on the back .started with 8 4' pieces of rail rd track on the back of my old 3/4 ton then if winter got real bad then would add 3 1/2 barrels of sand and salt on top of that .held down with chains and binders . Also studded tires we get a lot of Ice
It's so surreal to see that there is literally nothing for miles in any direction! Where I'm from if you don't see a pine tree right in front of you, turn 90 degree and you'll see one! 😂
Seems like a big 4wd tractor with a blade is almost necessary standard equipment for living in rural Wyoming or Montana. You just showed how difficult it is without one. Good job - farming folk do know how to make do! Thanks for the video.
Where the hell have you been you cannot do that to us Post for a while and then disappear absolutely not you best get back on the grind start making these videos again
Hello fellow Tennessean, welcome to life in Wyoming. I am chomping at the bit to get started gardening, but I don't dare yet. Will you be gardening this year?
That storm was crazy! I was plowing snow with my Silverado and I dont have a plow on it! That was a busy time for me with snow removal. Blew the exhaust valve on my 2 stage snow blower on the 3rd day of snow removal. Oh well it was an excuse to replace it with a newer and better model!
Plowing during the storm would have helped your situation , I do this for a living in the winter months and my advice is that you do the same as what we do ....small bites ...every 3/4 inches on heavy snow ..move it . Your equipment will appreciate you and will last longer . At stretch this winter we received over 70 inches in a 5 week period . PS a V plow would have helped , that’s what we use but still would move the snow in increments . Thanks for sharing fun to watch..👍 Shawn
Yep lots fun hopefully ever wonder why the trees were not boards but 16 in thick just to make it in winter plus you would have to dig out like rabbit hole lifestyle of outdoors great times
Good to see a new video from you. Hope all is well. Spring snow does appear to be a challenge. We have less wind typically, but I prefer the rear tractor blower over plowing when possible.
The 4WD w/plow surely can get up and go on its own... grew up in central NY and we’ve had multiple instances, during the late 70s and early 80s, 6’ of accumulated snow over 48 hrs and have plowed with a F150 4WD and a 7’ Meyers Power Angle plow....
Great to see you back. We were wondering what you've been up to. Man you folks got smoked with that snow! Glad things are better now. Don't be a stranger buddy, your videos are interesting. Take care!
First video Blake has done this year!!! Thank you Blake glad to you again. 🙂👍
Snow is so much tougher than most folks think. That was a lot of work.
I'm always amazed by all the flat ground with no trees. So different from what I'm used to.
I always said the winters aren't to bad in Wyoming is the spring that gets to you.
Finnaly you are back 👍🇵🇹🇵🇹
Last person I expected to see uploading.
Been to long👍

A snow blower on your tractor would be good. Especially with tire chains.
Great to see you back 😄
Wish you posted more often.
Great to see you back Blake! I've missed your videos can't wait to see some more👍👍👍
I am just down the road and you don't want to know how many times my neighbor and I had to get each other unstuck.... HAHA

This reminds me of growing up in southern Idaho in the 50/60s. Lots of big drifts then. Thanks for the video.

The good side is you got some much needed moisture. Nice to you post again!

I live in Glenrock, my 10x12 metal sheds roof collapsed from the weight of the snow from this storm.
yes you are back. Cool

Looks like you have a good truck with bad traction. I would install studded tires and a thousand pounds on the bed.

Wow that was a lot of snow
Is purty though. From my recliner.....
My guess is 12 times you got stuck.
Glad to see you back.
Great stuff, Blake. I was hoping you'd put this out. 27 pullouts
Hope you, V, and the fur babies are doing well
I forgot to ask, don't you have a tractor with a bucket to help dig out?
That is exactly why I bought a dozer. Spent more time getting unstuck than plowing.
Reminds me of Antarctica 🤣 Do you have chains on the truck? I couldn't tell in the video. Hope your weather's nicer now!
No chains?
Good to see you again. I guess you got stuck about 17 times???
Check out the Winter of 49.
Dang it's been a while..i would say you stuck the old ford about 9 times
👍
You survived then !
What did you do with the yellow f250
Good to see you VLOG`ing again. Winter on the prairie is no time for outdoor video.
You know if the 8N ran you could have used it...lol
Where you been ?
Wyoming has spring?
Is that kind of like it's not 45mph winds outside today ?
that crap is concrete when it drifts
I am going with 7 times
wonder if the NH TS115 A would of worked better with blower
who did you buy that from in Maryland if its ok to ask
ten time I would say
Where is your new to you F-350 diesel ? Havent seen a video from ya in a while maybe i mised what happened to it..
The white one? It was sitting there, no plow so not much reason to fire it up during the storm.
What part of Wyoming are you in? I'm in Cheyenne. If you're from the general area, what diesel shop do you use for maintenance?
I’m just a little west of Cheyenne. I do all my own work, don’t have a lot of experience with local shops that I can share.
Park it get your tractor da
Hiya Blake

It’s very broken.
Hi
Where do you live in WY? I have been considering Cody.
Who’s backhoe? If yours, could of used it.
It hasn’t ran in nearly a decade and the transmission has a major problem.
@@GuyinWY Might be worth fixing.
