The truth was... the Celtics really weren't that clutch and got carried by their talent largely _until this postseason._ This game, this series really, and even last series really exorcised some big demons in a big way. Fair play to them, they deserve it. I don't usually like to say exaggerated things like "this single event will change this team's psyche forever", but I really think this one will. This team is about to be supremely experienced - countless conference titles, Conference Finals appearances - and now a chip and a clearage of the mental blockage of poor clutch performances. There's no more back-of-your-mind doubts about falling short anymore making them mentally weak, they can play with a clear and confident heart now.

Celtics lost TWO games at home all post season, and went 37-4 at home in the regular season wtf is Richard talking about they absolutely played well at home. The moment the media screwed up was when they started calling the East weak. The East was not weak this year. They were just injured during the season and that caused some of them to miss out on 50 wins. The West on the other hand, became very overrated when 2 rookie teams were competing for 1st place with the Nuggets (who have never beaten a 50-win team in the playoffs ever under Jokic) fell to the Timberwolves.
Nah man Pacers didn't figure out what they had with Nemhardt for weeks. Knicks were already burning through their roster. Bucks never clicked. Heat looked like crap. 76ers never figured out how to integrate Lowry, Hield, and Maxey on the court.
The bottom of the West was way better but the top of the West had more holes. I think Boston couldn't poke through OKC or Denver's weaknesses like they can vs the Mavs.

I was at the game tonight, and it was clear that the Mavs were not going to win unless Luka and Kyrie both had monster games. In the middle of the 4th, there were 4 players on the court with Kyrie who had zero points. THJ, DJJ, Maxi, Green, Exum, and Gafford together had 13 points in the entire game. No team can win a championship like that.

I don't even know what they need to do to get a W anymore. In game 2 they combined for 48 points & 17 assists. In game 3 they combined for 62 points and 8 assists. Does a monster game need to be a combined 50 points and 16 assists? Does it need to be 60 points and 12 assists?

A few years back nuggets lost in the playoffs and Jokic’s conditioning and defense were a liability. He got in the lab and got right. Luka needs to have that reflection and realize he needs to improve in these areas for deep playoff runs.
