Didn’t he pick the Mavs before the season started? I know he picked the Mavs before the playoffs. Mavs in 5 is crazy, but nobody expected the Mavs supporting cast to fall off. Lukas teammates were terrible. The first 2 games they shot the ball terribly. Can’t remember the percentage, but I think it was less than 30%. They got tight, and Kyrie was a no show in Boston.

Nick needs to realize that scoring is down in the playoffs because players are playing more defense and giving more effort. The reason why the Celtics and Mavericks both had their lowest scoring games all season in the finals is because they actually take the finals seriously unlike regular season. The low scores are not because the Mavericks imploded or because Tatum isn’t a star it’s because it’s playoff basketball.
Tatum is the second worst shooter in NBA finals history with 38 FG%. The worst is Patrick Ewing with 36 %, but Ewing played only one final series, and that was versus Hakeem Olajuwon. The Celtics have 4 other all-stars to carry Tatum's bricks and turnovers.
Add Porzingis into that lineup for 5 games and they hit that 530 points over 5 games but it’s fine. Still dominated the “best back court ever and best closers” without KP.
They had to play up that take to drum up interest for this thing. Everyone knew Dallas wasn't supposed to be there. If Kawhi's knees could have made it through 4 games they probably go home in the 1st round. Devner was the only team that had a shot at beating the Celtics in the series, that was clear all year. Also, Iguodala absolutely deserved that Finals MVP. He was the offensive and defensive motor of the Warriors in that series. The heart of the team. Every time the Warriors offense stalled, Iggy got it done. When the Warriors needed a shot in the arm defensively, Iggy got a clutch block or steal. Nick is so ingenuous - they all massacre Tatum when they can.. teams and players have runs... Good teams have multiple players who go on runs, differently, and support each others' runs. That interlude was immaculate 😂😂
Wildes knows more than the “experts “
So no credit for Tatum absolutely cooking in game 5?! 😂😂 these dudes love to hate Tatum man it’s sad. Saying he’s not an all time talent is crazy. By the time he’s done his resume will be insane!!!
Great intro!! 😂
The fact that Nick Wright doesn't think Jaylen Brown is a sure fire hall of famer is so egregious.
2008 KG: ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!
2024 TATUM: OMG WE DIDDY!!
😂
Kobe literally averaged 41% shooting for his entire Finals career and nobody says he's a terrible Finals performer, so I think that's the Tatum argument here. Shooting wasn't great sure, but he still played well enough to still lead his team to the win that's what counts
the 04 pistons comp is a bit disrespectful to how good tatum is, even if he isnt a top 3 player currently. No one on that pistons team comes close to back to back to back first team all nbas
Tatum ain't even top 10... he deff ain't better than brown...
@@aaronclay4665your right he’s top 5
04 Pistons would get swept by 24’ Celtics Brown Tatum and Porzingis are all better than anyone on that team
@@waynetables6414 nah man, the toughness and disciplined defense from the pistons team would win the game
@@kristchen5829 people are delusional about this Celtics team and you’ll realize that at some point next year. This Celtics team has superstars and I like that Detroit team as much as the next guy but it’s a ridiculous comparison. They are not even on the same planet as the Celtics offensively.
Wildes is the gentleman of petty. That piano intro was the 🐐!
They updated Peyton Pritchard’s Wikipedia page to be half court shot specialist lol
Analytics with the right personnel and all bought in. Respect to Dallas but Boston was on the highest level (even if not perfect) 🎉
Jordan Poole had two half court buzzer beaters against the Cs in the Finals as well in ‘22
Jordan Poole. Yuck
One of them was just a deep three, not half court
@@trate1609him and Wiggins were X factors in that ring bruh. Get that hate out your heart.
Both not half court though
Wrong.
Give Wildes a raise.
enjoy this one with us wildes 💚
Bostons defense is elite
Came here just for this segment 😂😂😂😂
Props to both Brown and Tatum and team. Stop hating on who won the MVP!!!
Nick is so ingenuous - they all massacre Tatum when they can.. teams and players have runs...
Good teams have multiple players who go on runs, differently, and support each others' runs. Defensive steals and blocks are also runs.
Peak performance moments on Off or Def are runs. Celtics had the most peak team runs in the finals.
Best opening for a sports show ever
Wildes the ultimate gentleman 🤵♂️
I’d argue Horford and holiday will be HOFers as well
I love Wildes 😂
Wildes is the man 😂
Wildes is a national treasure lowkey😅
