First, you are stunning! You are so beautiful. Second, this was the first song I learned on guitar. The guitar solo Page does in this still gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. This is a perfect song, period. I’d love to see you react to Led Zeppelin song Kashmir.
Hello! I've seen a few of your music reaction videos and like that you hear new stuff for the first time. I'm not sure if you've ever heard of a band called Incubus, but they have so many good songs and a general vibe that I think you would like alot. I think their best album was called Morning View. I vividly remember him saying "son, if you're going to have an interest in music, you need to listen closely to this one" and he promptly turned the volume up to the TOP..... I've now heard it thousands of times, and enjoy it every time. Sometimes, I pay almost no attention to the words, and just jam along to the beat. Other times, I close my eyes and digest every word. It's just one of those very few songs that can be new again, even after 50 years.
@@EMPRESSJOYJEAN, if you could, can you take a little side trip to 1981 and listen to a group that is underappreciated, Climax Blues Band and the song is "I Love You " . I think you'll absolutely fall in love with it, like the Righteous Brothers. 🙏💌💌

"They don't write lyrics like this anymore" No, they don't, not in mainstream music. Why? Because a group of people sit in a room and look over what's been popular and what would appeal to as many people as possible then manufacture that music. They don't make music, they manufacture it. There's no soul in music anymore. I honestly can't think of much outside of independent artists that I listen to that was created in the last 10+ years. It was wonderful watching you react to this song. The absolute joy seen on your face just makes me so very happy.
This song is now 50 years old and still beloved by millions of fans around the world. There are countless songs from the 50’s and 60’s and really through I’d say the 90’s that have stood the test of time and will continue to do so. I’ve asked numerous of my friends to name a song that came out after around the year 2000 that will be remembered by say 2030 and none of us could come up with one. There’s some good music out there today that’s fun to listen to, but nothing even remotely iconic has come out in well over 20 years.
You have just listened to the greatest rock and roll song ever recorded! Led Zeppelin is and will always be THE GREATEST ROCK BAND EVER FORMED! There is no equal, there never will be! They stand at the very top ALONE!
I grew up in this era. The music was phenomenal, The Rolling Stone, Pink Floyd, Led Zeplin, Jimmy Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and hundreds more. It was a great time seeing the new albums come out and trying to be the first to own it. Great memories.
When you have the unmistaken vocals of Robert Plant combined with arguably the best guitarist ever, Jimmy Page, and arguably the best drummer ever, John Bonham and mister versatility John Paul Jones you have a recipe for greatness. They have been honored by presidents, prime ministers, their peers, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the list goes on and on. The many various awards and accolades they have received are a testament to their amazing talents and skills. It is not surprising that many consider them the greatest Rock "N" Roll band of all time. One thing is for certain that the legacy of Led Zepplin will be cemented in music history for all time, and rightfully so.

I'm a huge music fan and listen to quite a few different styles and genres, but Zep is still my all time favorite ❤️. I've listened to this song countless times and it never gets old. Love the way it slowly builds, with deeply interesting and poetic lyrics, and culminates in the most well known guitar solo in rock history! All hail the mighty Zeppelin 🤘🤘🤘
This song first appeared on record 50 years ago this year and that guitar solo is still iconic. There are live versions to see, naturally, where Jimmy Page pushes and pulls it in every direction, but the original remains concise and somehow meaningful.

All the other kids my age had no appreciation for this type of music and called me a freak lol. This song will always be amazing no matter how many decades or centuries pass.❤ Thank you Daddy!
It's just one of their masterpieces, and NO, they didn't steal this song. The melody, phrasing and lyrics are 100% original. Led Zeppelin won that law suite. I never get tired of this song.
Stairway to Heaven will forever be my favorite song, I'll never forget listening to it for the first time as a kid and just being completely blown away 🙏🏽
I love when reactors go from being self aware and trying to put on a show for us to suddenly realizing how good the song is and completely getting enveloped by it like at the end of this song.
You're exactly right-- the lyrics are subjective and open to interpretation. I think it's about a lady consumed with materialism, and eventually learning that money can't buy her happiness; it's found in living harmoniously/sustainably with nature. Glad you enjoyed the song!
Zeppelin has been my favorite band since I was 16 years old (30 years). I've been listening to Stairway all this time and I'm still watching people listen to it on youtube and I don't know what it means, but I feel it's meaning all the same. I feel like it's just about living and growing older. "The Lady" is (to me) a character who represents the material, living world we are in as we travel through our waking life, and "The Piper" represents the other side which we're all heading toward-- death and the immaterial. But, not in a bad way! That as we get toward the end of our journey (our shadows get long and things are still gold) we stop resisting and become who we really are. The two characters are two halves of a whole. That's just what I picture! I also picture riding a wooden cart down a country road in the sunshine almost every time, and I do air drums even on the freeway at 46 years old. So who knows!
I was wondering when this would end up in your lap. In their day they were considered the biggest rock band of them all, and this track is considered by many the greatest rock track of them all (yes it really is 50 years old now). Its an anthem, its epic, it soothes, it takes you on a journey, it changes, it evolves, a masterpiece. If I could be so bold as to recommend 'Since Ive been loving you' also by Zeppelin (studio version) a song about a good man who loves a bad woman ...... I'd love to see what you make of it, its at least as good as 'Stairway'. Glad you enjoyed this
@@williamcabell142 I always did much prefer the studio version, but realise thats not everyone’s preference. The studio is more precise whereas the live is too vague (relatively) for me. Just personal preference.

I will turn 70 this year and have to say that I really enjoy watching these " Reaction " videos . The idea that the music that I was lucky enough to hear when it was released is being " discovered " , and appreciated by so many . Mom and dad had their country music , and mine began with the " British Invasion " .
"This is so peaceful" . . . There's still time to change the road you're on. . . and. . . here . . . we . . . GO!!! LOL. I loved watching your expression change when the song really kicks into high gear. :)
I love how anyone hearing this for the first time always says how peaceful it is. Those of us who have listened to it before, just smile and think, "Boy just wait." I always think that the lady most likely would be Kim Kardashian, or any Kardashian. When written, Jimmy Page wanted something that would start so lyrical and soft and gradually build to a crescendo of sound and carry the listener away. I think he did rather well with that!
I loved watching your face light up listening to this classic 52 year old song! You are so adorable! This song was way ahead of it;s time when it was released in 1971!
The song is basically just about shallow materialism and greed. Plant claimed that it was about “a woman getting everything she wanted without giving anything back.” Yes, that's it. It did have that Celtic feel because Plant was a huge fan of The Lord of the Rings trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien.
BTW, The Smiths "How Soon Is Now"! I use to rock to this song at work. In the 80's, as a teen, I had a job vacuuming the luggage pick-up area in McCarren Airport in Las Vegas. Early mornings when the large open space was void of people, I would have the boom box blaring out New Wave music, turning it up to 10 when this 1984 classic came on. It would echo off the walls in beat with the echoing guitar in the song.
That makes sense the Stairway to heaven would have fitted into Middle earth alongside the Orcs, Balrogs, Wraiths and Ents all heading to Shelob's lair.
I'm 71 yrs old and when I heard led zeppelin I was in college and was a weed head they blew my mind this band would make you think it was a 9 piece band it's only 4 of them. The greatest classic rock band of all time.
I`ve often wondered what it was like dashing to your local record store in 1971, purchasing Led Zeppelin IV, hurrying home and listening to it for the first time. Must have been quite an experience.
Deserving the title of the best rock and roll song ever! From the amazing lyrics to the slow build up to an incredible climax to the realization of it fitting into the whole Led Zeppelin catalog. Tons of great songs from them from the first album to their last. From Good Times Bad Times, Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, Your Time Is Gonna Come, Whole Lotta Love, Since I've Been Loving You, Immigrant Song, Black Dog, Rock & Roll, Battle Of Evermore, When The Levee Breaks, Kashmir, No Quarter, and many more. It will take a while to enjoy their whole catalog of great songs.
I don't think I've ever noticed anyone get this song as immediately as I have. And you're absolutely beautiful but it's your sould that shines through. My goodness, I really like you.
I grew up with them. This song and the Eagles Hotel California are considered by some to be the best songs of all time (music, lyrics, meaning, and more). So glad a new generation is discovering Led Zepplin. I saw them perform back in the 60s/ Jimmy Page's guitar playing is beyond great. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks, lady, I'd forgotten how bloody good this tune is. I saw them do this tune in Tampa Stadium in 1973..maybe the best time I ever had...certainly the largest human pyramid that I've ever seen in my fricking life...
This was released 3 years after I returned from Vietnam and I have listed to this for over 50 years. I'm thrilled to see young people discover the music of their grandparents. If this were released today, it would still be a monster hit. We had the BEST music, the best cars, and I'm so glad I grew up when I did. After the birth control pill and before AIDS. We were the kings and queens of our world. Eat your hearts out.

"This is so peaceful" . . . There's still time to change the road you're on. . . and. . . here . . . we . . . GO!!! LOL. I loved watching your expression change when the song really kicks into high gear. :)
You must watch the "LIVE" version of this performance.
when the drums come in, is one of the greatest moments in rock music
Tolkien.
Well put.
this is gotta hit me harder than anything
Nah. Don't think in terms of money. The lady is an angel. The currency in this song is the light. Good vibes are gold.
I'm 71 yrs old and when I heard led zeppelin I was in college and was a weed head they blew my mind this band would make you think it was a 9
piece band it's only 4 of them. The greatest classic rock band of all time.
When she said it was so peaceful in the beginning, all of us Zep Fans were waiting for ‘that’ moment. Ps, you should listen to Ten Years Gone
“They sing so calmly, so peacefully”... hahahaaaa! Poor girl is gonna heavy metaled!
Page's finest, cleanest solo ever. Since I've Been Loving You is a close second, but an entirely different style.
"They don't make lyrics like that any more" is just what I think every time I listen to this song
Empress, you must listen to "Babe I'm gonna leave you" - Led Zeppelin. Full of emotion.
I don't think I've ever noticed anyone get this song as immediately as I have. And you're absolutely beautiful but it's your sould that shines through. My goodness, I really like you.
I remember listening to this song for the first time. One of my best memories. I remember being completely floored. How one song could contain so much
I grew up with them.
One of the greatest songs ever written, listen to by one of the most beautiful ladies I've ever seen ❤️🌎❤️
Starts so slow and builds little by little and just kicks ass at the end! All time classic!
One of the Finest bits of Music EVER Performed !!!!
Always a thrill to watch someone with a beautiful soul get to hear this song for the first time.
You should see this live from Madison Square Garden! Best band ever!
Monumental guitar solo, epic song, best group in history of rock 💪🏻
Eat your hearts out.
a Stairway to Heaven could only be described as watching your reviews 😍😍😍 ... but seriously, I have been a disciple of Zep since the age of 12 when hearing their first LP in 1968 ... finally saw them in 1975 and that show still resonates deep within my being. ....
One of the greatest rock songs ever...still brings it home...timeless...
Welcome to the music I grew up with
EJJ I seen this band in 1969 when I was 16 years old. Their music blew my mind. When stairway to heaven came out I was totally hooked on Led Zeppelin. I still hear one of their songs everyday. You have a wonderful feel for music in your reactions , I can tell it touches your soul.
LISTEN to more Led Zeppelin, you won't be disappointed.
Your awesome
Much Luv.

I love how you went out of your way to post the lyrics. It is peaceful and for the Zep fans we know all of the lyrics so I appreciate it even more xoxo you are a lovely person inside and out.
❤❤
The first time I heard it, I had goosebumps all over, probably about about 50 years ago.
These has to be one of the greatest songs ever along with Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. I could not pick a winner out of the two. They are join number one for me. I like the way they start off with a folk song and it sound like a recorder, The they rock in up move and move as the song goes on.
My favourite type of reaction!!!
Everything is visible at all.
E-J-J, thank you for your reaction to this all time rock classic! Now you need to look up the tribute to this song at the Kennedy Center by Heart. They perform Led Zeppelin's greatest song in front of a huge crowd, including the three surviving members of Led Zeppelin. You will love it!
