Gary Moore is not just any guitar player, he is one of the best to ever pick up and play the instrument across rock, blues and jazz fusion throughout his career.
@@haroldgilbert6707 Gary Moore had a couple of stints in Thin Lizzy, briefly in 1973, then in 1978-9. In the latter stint, he recorded the Black Rose album. In '73, Moore replaced original guitarist, Eric Bell, then, the following year, the best known and longest pairing of Scott Graham and Brian Robinson created the twin-harmony guitar attack for which they became known. Moore rejoined in '78 to replace Robertson, recorded Black Rose, then left abruptly during the 1979 US tour. Gary for me was the perfect blend of speed and feel. He could rip it up with the best of 'em when he wanted to but had tremendous feel when he slowed things down. R. I. P. Gary , one of the best ever.
Gary Moore was a legendary guitarist/ vocalist from Ireland... He was friends w/ bassist/ vocalist Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy and actually played in Thin Lizzy occasionally... He could play blues and hard rock... Sadly, he passed away in 2011. Some of Gary Moore's other songs - 'Over the hills and far away'... 'Empty rooms' ... 'Nuclear attack' ... 'After the war'... 'Out in the fields'... 'Parisienne walkways'... 🤘🤘
An incredible guitar player that I was fortunate to see live twice. One of the best guitar players ever. Parisienne Walkway and The Messiah Will Come Again (live) are two more of his many incredible songs.
A little piece of the history of the guitar you show him playing. Greeny is a 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard, named after its first famous owner, Peter Green in 1964/5. He used it during his time in John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers and Fleetwood Mac, before selling it to Gary Moore in the early 1970s. Moore used the guitar throughout his career, both as a solo artist and in bands, such as Thin Lizzy. Due to financial troubles, he was forced to sell it in 2006, after which it passed through several private collectors and guitar dealers. In 2014, Greeny was acquired by Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett, who has since used it both in the studio and during live performances
Nope thats not the one, the "greeny" is the one he uses on the Messiah will come again live in montreaux 90 and Midnight Blues live from Royal Albert Hall 90 etc.
There was an event in 2004 called The Strat-Pack in London, hosted by Fender Instrument Co to celebrate all the greats who had played their famous Stratocaster guitar. It was a several hour event with many bands. The song that brought the house down & received the only standing ovation of the day was Gary Moore's rendition of Jimi Hendrix's Red House. You must see this whether you react to it or not. It's just jaw dropping astonishing! Luv your reactions, thanks!
Amazing performance, The Live version at the Royal Albert hall is just outstanding. Garry is renowned for his amazing solo's, such as The Messiah will come again and Empty rooms, just to mention a couple. One of Belfast's true Musicians and a nice guy as well. RIP Garry 🙏🎸🖤🖤

Great reaction! You had me chuckling right away with your "Biss-ness", you know....your attitude! The song is great, it captures my attention whenever I hear it play.
Being Irish, Gary Moore started in the late 1960's in Ireland. He played all different kinds of Rock and also Blues. He also had solo albums from the 1980's to 2008. He passed away in 2011 For Blues music, his popular albums are STILL GOT THE BLUES (1990), BACK TO THE BLUES (2001) and POWER OF THE BLUES (2004) (Thanks - Dave Strong)

And yes, he can sing, but I feel that he especially makes the guitar sing. Please listen to "Parisienne Walkways". Greetings from Porto.
He's got a super beautiful guitar instrumental song called The Prophet. Other songs with him you could check out is "Out in the fields" "Over the hills and far away" "Parisienne walkways"

Yes, good old Gary Moore! He had a special way of playing guitar, just an old fashion amp with all the knobs turned to max. Love your reaction! You’re beautiful!
'Out in the Fields' is another song I love by him. He used to play guitar in the band Thin Lizzy originally, then he kind of went solo. Out in the Fields is a duet between Moore and Phil Lynott, the vocalist/bass player of Thin Lizzy.
I was stationed in Germany when this came out. It's a great song, and this performance is excellent. At the time, it was nice to hear a creative Pop tune that hearkened back to the Blues and traditional music (a lot was going on musically in the early 1990s). Sung with a lot of soul and intensity, as you noted.

Hello Bisscute, again I have to thank you for introducing me to this great Irish guitarist and singer who was Gary Moore, I still can't get over my astonishment for not knowing about him, nor having heard him before, in particular with this song "Still Got The Blues". His skill and talent in playing the guitar makes each note sound intense and emotional, where the solos are long and melodic, reminiscent of guitarists like B.B. King and Eric Clapton, but always with a clearly distinguishable very personal stamp, to which we must add that his vocal delivery is very emotional and perfectly complements the melancholic atmosphere he creates with the guitar. Great choice Bisscute. For a next reaction, and in case you want to react again to music in Spanish, I suggest the official video of Luis Miguel, performing the song La Bikina live. Greetings and a hug from Mexico City.
Good reaction! He was a former member of the band Thin Lizzy as a lead guitarist, and he did a lot of backup vocals for the band too. If you're interested, I would recommend the Thin Lizzy song, "Still in Love with You", where Gary Moore does some great backup signing and awesome guitar work.
