- Prepping, spraying primer/basecoat/clearcoat, sorting out all the mistakes and then cutting and buffing. Over two months work! I now know why a professional paint job costs so much 🤣
Back in the mid to late 80’s, I was the proud owner of a Vespa P200E which I rattle-can resprayed in a typically 80’s brash colour scheme. For over 30 years, it’s been stuck in a shed, gathering dust and rust.
Can a clueless, inexperienced mechanic bring this beauty back to life?
Many books read, countless videos watched and numerous forums trawled through. There will be mistakes, there will be cock-ups, there will be scraped knuckles, there will be tears BUT there will some serious fun along the way.
This is NOT an instructional video, quite the opposite 😁
Excellent workmanship, fantastic finish....
Thanks. It's OK but I was definitely running out of talent 🤣
Ecelente trabajo bro
That's 1 painstaking job you did there, great work :) ! I'm looking forward to see the next episodes!
Thanks. It's one huge learning process 😁🛵
320 - 400 grit before painting,
Use the heel if your hand to sand not fingers. Sand in long strokes diagonally criss-crossing as you go, not short circular patterns.
Great skill and patience, have you got a link for that polishing m/c?
Thanks. The buffing tool was a very cheap on from eBay, something like this www.ebay.co.uk/itm/145000369042
