Travis Strikes Again actually explains why Bad Girl is alive, why Jeane can talk, and other things. A lot of it is explained in the in-game Travis Strikes Back visual novel and DLC.
@@heardofrvb because some shenanigans went on with voice stuff or whatever, dont know the specifics, so in jeane's one line in tsa they've voiced by the game's voice director. idk something like that it;s confusing lmao
Really in depth compared to a lot of the other reviews, actually focusing on a mix of positive and negatives without clearly having it's mind made up after an hour of game play. Was already hyped and this pushed it even further, my copy can't arrive soon enough!
@@Howitchewstofeel5gum you're totally right! and even an even higher metacritic score, I totally remembered critics pointing out the outdated graphics and dull side jobs of the original
I was really worried about the outcome of the game after the trailers, I'm glad it turned out great after all. I mean, it's fun, and that's what I'm after. Can't wait to play it.
I just love it when reviewers tell me how hilarious the ending is. I'm gonna be looking forward to that throughout the entirety of my playthrough. Awesome!
I've noticed newer review outlets like this one tend to be a lot more passionate about reviews and look at things without the very obvious IGN/Gamespot ad revenue filter in place.
Good review, I kinda suspected the open world would just be a burden on the overall experience, but i am glad it wasn't too intrusive on what actually mattered.
This is the first time I’ve seen gameplay. The last time I saw gameplay was a demo and being played with a 360 controller and it looked bad. So now I should take a look in it because it’s very popular.
Excellent review! I just think a whole part about the music is missing here. NMH 1 and 2 had soundtracks that I still listen to, and to me they were a high point in the game, kinda like Naganuma's music on JSR.
"You still might get confused because there's hardly any explanation for events that might've occurred between games" Looks like someone forgot to play Killer7 and the Silver Case games lmao. Not to criticize or anything, since a lot of people don't even know that NMH shares its world with a couple of different Suda51 games and they're even more obscure than NMH itself. But everything you didn't understand was explained in those games. For example, Kamui is a character from The Silver Case, and so is one of the bosses. And the guy who gave Badman the Deathball is from Killer 7.
Is it similar to Killer IS Dead? I loved that game to death. I feel the other NMH games couldn't touch it in fighting mechanics from what I saw online.
Yes.... I was very confused when I started :D (Haven't played Travis strikes again). Doesn't matter, I was expecting that. Fighting feels great in this one. Been having a great time so far. Although.... our fabulous golden boy killed me like 15 times, before I was able to win :P Still a fun fight.
@@supermetroid009 Thanks! It’s actually an original costume design I came up with years ago (which has since been iterated and improved upon) that I tend to pull out during Halloween or masquerade type events, doing a sort of living-statue kind of act. Good times, that.
joey, u shine with this review ;) maybe you spoiled a little too much, but tbh, maybe it was necessary for a game like this one and a guy like me, who wasn't interested before in any way, but is now :)
I'm a big fan of all the No More Heroes franchise. I'm also getting older and becoming much less interested in franchises that just repeat themselves. I've dropped Pokemon, Luigi's Mansion, the kirby games, other franchises because I'm not interested in more of the same. I really thought they could go somewhere with an antagonist that believed a delusion of being a superhero but was also a mass murderer and dictator. I thought Travis could really be a good foil after his years of being a #1 assassin and walking away. I am just kinda sad to hear that they just repeated the character and didn't offer anything more in the journey. There seems to be some consensus in the reviews that this game is more of the same, in terms of content and character. I'm not the same person I was 10 years ago so I think this game just isn't for me anymore.
Did you play Travis Strikes Again? I haven’t myself yet, but if I recall right I think I heard that Travis actually goes through a good bit of character development and self-reflection during it, so the narrative at least might be right up your alley.
I've just played the firdt ranking and a bit of the set up for 9 and.. Yeah this is gonna be one hell of a ride! I'm so excited no more heroes is back here: freeswitchgame(.)com

I was about to comment the same
Yeah, but TSA didn't mention Jeanne has a male voice. Travis is surprised she sounds like that here.
@@heardofrvb it’s yet another of the fourth wall breaks the game does, which is why it works.
Didn't really explain why he can talk. TSA just has him talk out of nowhere

NMH franchise always received bad reviews (IGN and others) and still managed to be cult classics
Not saying much. I think most people understand that big budget review companies are not good at reviews. They have a few good reviews, but not a lot
That's not even true... NMH 1 has a metascore of 83 (IGN: 78) and NMH 2 of 84 (IGN: 88).

I’m super hyped for this game. I’m a bit sad that there’s no other beam selection( the Rose Nasty was easily my favorite in the second game).
Finally a good review! NMH is a fantastic franchise, but i suppose it's not for everyone.
Sorry Gamexplain but the directer at twitter confirmed this is the last No More Heroes game, the end of journey of Travis Touchdown!

What throws me off the most is seeing Travis as some Japanese guy in his boxers. I do not want to be that character at all in this.
It's funny how he looks before being cleaned up
It’s only for one fight, and after that it’s optional.
originally he should resemble johnny knoxville
