Thundercats - Earth
Silverhawks - Air
Tigersharks - Water
Mind - Blown
GI Joe is there. Oops wrong company.
"Kids like element shows. We can do that. Add an orangutan in a space station." - *Centurions*
Sliverhawks was in Space not air.
I love all 3 cartoons Thundercats, Silverhawks, and Tigersharks
Me too!!!
All designed by Pepe Moreno
Me too!!! Lol
TST
You totally forgot the strong guy in each team: Panthro, Steelwill and Lorca
Thank you!
Because they were forgettable
I don’t think she watched these shows
@@twilightgardenspresentatio6384 she definitely didn't, it's a script. These shows were cancelled around the time she was born.
These were the assumed black characters.
Much love to you guys for spotlighting TigerSharks. I've talked about this show to other people and they swore I made it up. Thanks for proving in mot crazy.
You are crazy, but you were also right. Lol 👍🏿
SoulBrothaMak I was waiting on that. Lol. No dispute there. 😜
Only special people got to capture this moment..ur definitely not krazy
True fans never forgot about TigerSharks. I still remember playing with the toys too. Remember all of those cartoons. I want the whole group on blu-ray now.
Yeah . Tiger sharks was in the bargain bin. That's why you had them.
Yeah well that may be but no one I knew like them
There were toys for this ?
Lucky, I never got any of them!
TigerSharks was THE reason I tuned in every week!
When you come to think of it, there could have been a Thundercats/Silver Hawks/Tigersharks crossover since all involved space travel.
Thanks for covering this. The nostalgia is priceless.
They were all in the newer 2012 thundercats. Mumra had them all captured
...... yeah ok ... I know that. What's that have to do with the conversation or my comment?
There was a Silverhawks/Thundercats crossover. Tigersharks missed out; because they came late to the party and barely had time to settle in.
The Tigersharks are featured as a captured species in the 2011 Thundercats. When Mum-Ra leads Lion-O’s ancestor through his ship you see the Tigersharks swimming in a tank behind them.
brotherdandy dude that is a good observation and also is the thundercats 2011 series worth watching?
brotherdandy wow
@@waterisgreat2864 yes it is it was great
Yes and know, you saw a bunch of shark people who looked like Mako. Tiger sharks were the name of the team, not a race.
I remember that episode it also showed mon-star from silverhawks
Rankin Bass Hobbit was AMAZING!
it scared the crap out of me as a kid but it was good
is that the one where the hobbit gets his finger bit off
No. The Hobbit had Bilbo tricking Smaug the dragon at the end. The Lord of the Rings had Frodo getting his finger bitten off by Gollum. 🎼”Frodo of the nine fingers... and the ring of doom.” Grand songs like that and “Where there’s a whip (cracking sound) There’s a way!” by the marching orc army.
I liked the animated movie better then the live action trilogy. The animated version was closer to the book.
This was part of The Comic Strip. I miss this series.
Me too, Street Frog and Karate Cat I remember.
12:54 Dragonstein sounds like a metal band name.
Awesome.
Being a kid in the 80's was awesome. All these cartoons were awesome.
The Mini Monsters premise was done to death in the 80s.
..the Drak Pack, Rick Moranis at Gravedale High, and Scooby Doo and the Ghoul School.
I love scooby doo and the ghoul school
Gravedale was 90's
Drak Pack, Whamo!
You guys should do Galaxy Ranger's. That show was ahead of its time and deserves some credit for what it achieved. If any of the old 80's show deserves a remake, it's this one.
So, Bizarrely wasn't T-Ray's henchman, but led his own crew and you did not mention them all.
You also forgot the two bumblers Carp & Wall-Eye, I believe. Someone else already mentioned the strong men in the 3 series.
Mako was my favorite. One of the rare times I was a fan of the lead character.
You guys should do visionaries next. Lot of people don't remember it
I remember the toy line more than the show
Yo I do.
Is that the cartoon and toy line that featured a lot of holograms. I think the holograms would deploy from their cheats.
Saw a UA-cam video about the cartoon. Was amazed how many guys could recite the spells which activated their totems. “Three suns aligned, pour forth their light, and fill this archer’s bow with might!”.
Hell yeah!!!! Loved it!!!!! I wish they made a cartoon for "Battle Beasts"! The toys were sweet, and had cool commercials! Late 80's were the end if the Saturday Morning cartoon/Action Figures era!!!!
"Transforms into a living walrus." Because other walruses are undead.
Lmfao
He was voiced by Mumm-Ra the everliving. That's why she said a living Walrus... or at least I hope that's why.
I mean we've all seen Kevin Smith's "Tusk", right?
If only a crossover with all three Rankin/Bass titles were created.
DC Comics has the rights to Thundercats... I wonder if they have the rights to Tigersharks and Silverhawks?
On point as always
They should, the sliverhawks DVD is by Warner Brothers.
BoBiggHHB 3 you know I try...
There was going to be a spin off series in 1990 after Thundercats ended. It was called Thunderforce and was supposed to be a crossover between all 3 shows. They went so far as making new figures but Rankin Bass was bought by Warner and the plans were scuttled.
@@hitdawg64 At least Rankin Bass wasn't bought by Disney.
Review Galaxy Rangers. It was another 80's cartoon.
Damont Jordan that cartoon was awesome. Totally underrated
Damont Jordan that cartoon was awesome. Totally underrated. Bought the box set on DVD
Best 80s theme song
They were dope!!
Also going to say Galaxy Rangers.
Just saw this. I worked for Rankin Bass on all three shows and in addition to the pop culture stuff you mention, have to say it was a blast for the people who made the shows.
Gotta’ do one for the 70’s Flash Gordon or the 80’s Defenders of the Earth cartoons.
Also the Lone Ranger & Zorro Hour, cartoons from the early 80’s
Don't forget Zorro: Generation Z and Phantom 2040 as well.
Defenders of the Earth ...Defenders
Oh god! I remember this show! But only ever so slightly. I was born in 86 and caught this somewhere on TV as a wee kid. But I never got the name. Thank you for making this!!
Does anyone else remember the episode where the bad guys went into the tank and became human? That was a weird scene.
Mako was not the leader, Octavia was the Captain
King Mojo Nice! Someone else who actually watched the show!
And Mako often refered Octavia as Captain.
Perhaps she was, but she deferred to Mako and always followed his lead
I viewed Mako as the field leader while Octavia's duty was to the ship. Funny thing is when I watched Star Wars: Rebels, Hera reminded me of Octavia.
They had that whole Riker/Picard vibe where the leader had enough confidence in their crew to delegate tasks.
You guys need to do one of these on The Pirates of Dark Water. That was the greatest show ever. Oh and the Centurions.
While I don't think that The Pirates of Dark Water was the greatest cartoon ever, I DO agree that it, as well as Thundarr the Barbarian were HUGELY underrated, as well as were cancelled well before they should have been cancelled.
I've never seen a video of Galaxy High. Truly a forgotten show.
Love that show
Well land, sea, and air are covered. The 80's thank you. If only we could get a release of tigersharks.
do you mean remake ?
@@Leo-iZ177 nope, I meant a retail release for tigersharks. As the show was aired in an anthology series a solo release of the show has never been officially licensed.
Uhhh...."Land, Sea and Air" ?!?!? Hello.... *G.I. Joe is THERE!!!* duh
@@pelicanphuucker4life how did I not see this coming.
Frog with tophat... MICHIGAN J. FROG. Legit.
What about dinosaucers? That was my favorite cartoon.
Don't forget the pets/mascot-like characters: Snarf, Tallyhawk and Guppy.
And if u haven't BraveStar! 30/30 was fun! Especially when it was time to pull out old Sara Jane!
That Street Frogs theme song though! “Who can do hip hop better than a frog can? Street frogs, street frogs!”
I’m in love with this woman
10:25 On Thundercats, if I remember correctly, aside from above-average strength (which I would expect from any human-animal hybrid) Chetaria was the only one with a true superpower (super speed) because all the rest of them had to use a weapon or piece of equipment to use their abilities.
Lynxo had some kind of psychic ability if I remember correctly. It was like Toph's sisemic sense in Avatar the Last Airbender.
Actually, Tygra had a power, too. He could generate realistic looking illusions using his mind, which he used to test Lion-O during his trials to become lord of the Thundercats. Panthro explains that it takes a lot out of Tygra to use such power, so he rarely uses it.
TYGRA HAD MIND POWERS
Now you just need to do the cartoons "The Centurions" & "COPS"
kendrick Williams big up!
Do one about The Mighty Orbots.
Check out Toy Galaxy's video History of the Mighty Orbots
I had the Mako action figure. This was one of my favorite shows.
I love Tiger Sharks growing up, them Street Frogs and Karate Kat.
Don't forget Mini-Monsters.
This was awesome!!! Watched and adored all three cartoons!!
Classic! Been looking for this show YEARS !
Street Frogs looks awesome. I remember Karate Kat
I remember that show back in 1987. Karate Kat is my favorite show. It's like James Bond meets Morris the cat show. I still have all the episodes recorded in 1987 and still enjoying it. I would like to see you do one on Biker Mice from Mars, Bucky O' Hare and anime shows(Speed Racer, Starblazers, Sailor Moon, etc.)
My favorite character was Mr.Googly Eyes...
*"Look into my eyes, as they stare and goggle
Do as I say or your mind will boggle!"*
...And now you think so too!
Saturday mornings 9AM WWOR Channel 9: Never missed the Comic Strip! Still own all Tiger Shark episodes on VHS taped as the show aired!
I remember this show!!!! Loved it
Wow! I remembered the Tigersharks which brought me here. But I didn’t remember all the others, UNTIL you just showed them to me now it’s ALL rushing back!
I gotta applaud you guys for bringing this back. Even the origins of the airing in comic strips... you know what's up! Thank you for this.
My goodness... karate kat!!! After so so long. Its my forgotten favourite.
Thanks so much for this!
The Mysterious Cities of Gold!! An oft forgotten 80's gem!
I still to this day love the music of that show.the opening.
Remember Count Duckula👍😀
@@tatitorodriguez376 hands down!
Loved this show and how it had live action educational bits at the end.
I loved that show!!!!
I remember Tiger Sharks!! Thank you for the memories...
If you haven't done C.O.P.S. yet, you really need to. That was one of the best cyberpunk cartoons of the 80s.
I've been waiting for them to release the series for years. I have the Thundercats and Silverhawks collection but they feel incomplete without TigerSharks...
Does anyone remember bike mice from Mars or G.i. Joe sigma 6 or stargate infinity , freakazoid
Wow , this takes me back to after school cartoons. I miss the 80's lol.
Favorite episode was where T-Ray and his underwater people went backwards through the Fishtank and became air-breathers.
Walro looks like a tusgen from thundercats
Catch a tiger by the tail. Tigersharks!
Thank you for all of these! This takes me back. I know Im late to the post lol. Have you guys done Bravestar yet?
Love love love loved this show so much.
Remember the "Bionic 6"? I would like to see a review of that. Also the "Dungeons & Dragons" cartoon from the 80s...Good stuff
Never watched an episode. I would love to check it out.
That was dope thanks
My favorite was Lorca, because he looks strong..the same way Panthro being my favorite in Thundercats.. I love these shows back then.. My ringtones are the themes...nostalgic
Awesome brings me back
Thanks guys I needed this. I almost forgot about Comic Strip.
I'm sorry, why are these videos so ADD, "hey remember tigersharks? Let's talk about frogs, oh look animated frogs with hats! Oh wait what were we talking about?"
So much awesomeness in 15 minutes!!
Yes!! Loved that show!!!!
Funny yet informative.
The opening theme of Tigersharks is fantastic. Full of energy and more memorable than the actual show. The character design was fun though.
I know I'm old because i remember the Comic Strip & i loved the silver hawks, thundercats and tigersharks but i should of known that the tiger sharks was the sea team version of the other 2 cartoons wow - thanks for this childhood flashback & this video content is pure awesome 😄👍.
Karate kat
The way I see it, Karate Kat was a prototype for SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron.
I really think that the Swat Kats creators actually drew inspiration from Karate Kat.
Never saw this cartoon... didn't even know it existed. Loved ThunderCats and SilverHawks!
Can we get Galaxy High???
I KNOW RIGHT!!!!
Good job on the video, and thanks . I still remember 80s animation and I liked all three programmes.
Rankin Bass Universe:
Thundercats
Silverhawks
Tigersharks
I honestly didn't want to talk to anyone about it because I wasn't sure if I imagined it all!! What a relief!!
I'm an 80's kids who lived in Philippines and grew up watching all these cartoons, especially TigerSharks.
Theme songs made these toons awesome.
I don't really remember Tigersharks. However, Thundercats was very much part of my growing up then. Oh, the memories.
I can still hear the theme song when I think about it. Lol. I think about this show maybe once every two weeks
Fantastic max, Denver the last dinosaur, dino saucers
🎵Who's got a tiger by the tail HOLD ON Tigersharks! Tigersharks!🎵
Well this was fun to stumble upon. A show I never knew about.
Thanks for posting this video bit brought back young memories I thought were lost and was a figment of my imagination.
Im a huge fan of comicstrip series in 80s. Now 2020
Im inlove with her voice😍
I used to think that intro looked so dope.
I would love to know more about a "lost" cartoon:
"Vytor the Starfire champion".
I remember watching this show when I was a kid
THis was great to watch!. So many memories! Anyone remember Robotix!
WOW I thought I remembered all the 80's cartoons, but I don't remember these cartoons, now I want to see them.
Oh wow! I had completely forgotten about this show.
The theme song is BADASS. How could I forget this show.
I also remember Karate Kat...Ki-ai, Baby!! I also loved Mini-Monsters
Q: How do you make nostalgia painful?
A: Show the line up of The Comic Strip!
(Minus TigerSharks)
It was agony waiting for that drivel to go off to catch a glimpse of Tigersharks.
True!!!! I liked TigerSharks but hated the whole Comic Strip thing. I felt like the other cartoons screwed me out of Tigersharks time. Street Frogs was one of the rare cartoons I disliked so much I chose to do chores when it was on.
so... two members of the team are actually mammals and not fish. Lorca the Orca and Dolph the Dolphin. great writing Rankin Bass. then again, I watched this show, so apparently I drank the Kool-Aid too.
Not to mention Walro the *Walrus.* XD
@@autobotstarscream765 oh yeah!!! a lot of water breathing mammals. sloppy writing.
which episode was this?
I'm most hurt that the catchphrase wasn't mentioned, which is 96% of why I remember the show.
"Tiger tiger, by the tail? Tiger tiger, Tigersharks!"
Honestly thought I was alone in remembering this show.
Those are my favourite 3!!
