I was messing around with the shortcut you showed and was trying to make it so pressing the action button on landscape left, right, face down each toggle something different, and all other orientations (“otherwise”) toggle flashlight. If you made some kind of shortcuts tutorial video like I think you mentioned, that would be great!

Great video Brandon! For me, it's all about ios public releases. So, ios 17.4.1, watching all your ios 17.5 videos and then ios 17.5's public release and installing it on my iphone se 2020.

Since updating my phone, I can’t connect to cellular data. I have an iPhone 13. I ended up getting a new SIM card as my prior one was old. But since getting my new SIM card, cellular still doesn’t work, only would say no service. Tried an eSIM and that still didn’t fix the issue. Hard reset my phone, turned cellular on and off, reset network settings, and nothing worked.

The mute option is gone from accessibility menu. You can no longer mute the phone via back tap.

Hi Brendon, just regarding the shortcuts in iOS 17.4 you mentioned and you were going to do a video regarding shortcuts… anyhow the find notes action is missing the filter tab(above the limit option) do you know if this will be fixed in iOS 17.5?
Do you also test the beta's on older devices? I ask because not everyone has the latest phone and the experience with the updates can differ

i have absolutely noticed less screen time since ios 17.4. was ending the day with 40%. after update im charging before i get back home.

I had been using my iPhone 13 for more than 2 years now..
And I recently I came to notice that when I try take some portrait
Shot on my phone the camera just blacks out and crashes..
And when I check whether the shot was taken in photos then I find out no shot was taken..
It happens like 2 out of 10 times..!!
Again I have to open the camera app and take the shot..
Just wanted to let you know about the issue I’m facing..!

runing 17.4 on a 14 pro max. still unable to access control center.
I almost thought I runied my battery somehow by gaming a lot and this 15PM is barely a few months old, 17.4 completely destroyed my battery life, getting 2-3 hours less then before.
Did anyone notice after update that autocorrect doesn’t work anymore?
If so, how to fix it?

Thanks K! Yeah I think it will take some time for us iOS users to get accustomed to downloading apps from outside the App Store, but I think it’s good for the future
@@BrandonButch I have my banking apps on my phone and I enjoy the protection of the App Store. I wouldn’t venture into sideloading anything until the guinea pigs do it first.
As an android user who downloads apps off the internet almost every day, I can say that I've had a great experience, as many times, the apps I'm downloading are open source, and tend to be more secure, and don't collect and sell your data to big companies.
Hey Brandon! I don’t know if someone else is facing this problem or not but I think there’s something wrong with the ios 17.4 update and it has to do with the AOD widgets, I, for some reason see those widgets functioning weirdly like the calendar widget would just be displayed as a big white block. Any solutions, suggestions? Is anyone else facing this?
Edit: I have an iPhone 15 pro max, is this something related to the software or is this happening in all 15 pm’s ?
I've been having battery drain issues as well. My battery capacity dropped 2% in a day. (I only kept checking because my phone kept getting hot and my battery wouldn't last me the whole day.) Could be due to the apps trying to fetch my data idk.
I would like to see you tell me what version of modem software were on on an iPhone 14 Pro and features that are on there that are not 15 pro exclusive

I've had some problems on iOS 17.4. For me, when I play Minecraft, it closes like every 20 minutes, which is annoying and has never happened before I updated. Thanks for another great video! Also, the battery on iOS 17.4 has been pretty good for me.
One issue I’m experiencing on my iPhone 15 Pro Max I get random messages saying no SIM card inserted.
Still profile picture from appstore is not showing anymore on my iPhone 11 pro, on ios 16 was fine but now is gone! I wish carplay have more features and showing my car navigation but is limit! When you switch to silent mode and when play with side buttons volume is doing short vibrating!

Hi Brandon , something unpleasant happened to me here in the Netherlands ! 😰Before iOS 17.4 with my 14 pro max I could select the texts of a screenshot or photo and copy them but not anymore! Now only browser texts! Does it happen only to me or to others too? What can I do ? Thanks in advance !!!

17.4 Battery life has been fine on my iPhone 15 Plus... Also the latest update on my iPad 10th Generation. 0 issues.
I have no issues with battery.. don’t know about the betas but going from 17.3 to 17.4 battery backup got somewhat better for me

17.4 has made a lot of my shortcuts no longer work. If they are a single command like “turn on the light’ it’s fine but if it has multiple like do this then that, the shortcut does half of it but fully. I’ve deleted and rewritten, just fails now. If you use shortcuts a lot, best to not update until this issue is fixed.
They already have the hearing aid feature on the pros 2 I been using it over a year now.

Anyone having trouble with their front camera? I just bought a brand new iPhone 15 Pro Max, and I’ve only had it for a couple months, and my front camera won’t turn on sometimes. Sometimes if I restart my phone, it works, but currently it’s not. I was just wondering if anybody else was having this issue

I used to have 19 hrs screen active time on my ip 15 pro max back in 17.3 but literally after I updated on 17.4 my screen active time now is about 10 hrs now 7 hrs being the lowest. I hate this I wish I could just go back in 17.3...

I would love you to make a simple, simple tutorial then go a little bit more detailed then a little bit more detailed like a series so we know how to work them, I know there’s a lot of value there like I don’t know how to do it.

It’s wild to me that Apple Sports doesn’t have live activities support and overall is quite limited in general.

Battery drain is horrible on 17.4. I went from having at least 40-50% left after work down to barely having 20% left after 17.4 update.
Not sure if you’re aware but in the uk when a vehicle is stolen they offen leave it. For a about 24 hours or so to check it’s not been monitored then after that they move it to somewhere else
Sideloading requires 17.4 or later and only works in countries that require Apple to implement it.
Huawei, TikTok, DJI Drones. All bye bye. All in the name of security. But Chinese balloons are okay to fly coast to coast.

battery life is not good on 15 pro, on 17.1 for example battery life was been really great, but on 17.4 i need to charge at least 2 times per day
I’m only getting half a day on my 13PM on iOS 17.4. I used to get 1-2 days. This is the worst battery life of any iOS release I’ve ever used!

Any one else having high heating while charging their iPhone 15 pro max in India after the latest update??
The phone just heats up in the titanium sides and pauses charging at 80%
I have the iPhone 15 pro and 15 pro max both with IOS 17.4 installed and battery life is by far the worst compared to the version prior to IOS 17.4, on my 15 pro it drops 10-15 percent in a 20 minute window with IOS 17.4 installed (98% battery health capacity) bought back in October and then my 15 pro max drops between 5-10 percent in about the same amount of time which the 15 pro max is brand new
