How to Learn HIGH Bunny Hops Part 1: Basics, Technique and Height - Спорт
Your scrolling back and forth filmic treatment is simple but genius. It's literally what we all do with all these tutorials anyway, so a great idea. Really slick video.
Could not agree more.
Exactly! Best idea ever for any trick or skill tutorials.
Holy mother of god, the chosen one has bestowed upon us a great gift, a tutorial
That's the ultimate bunnyhop tutorial! That's the one that everyone should watch. This video is pure GOLD.
"As long as you start, you get somewhere"
amen
Fantastic, well explained video! Thanks Max!
Well explained for stupid people..
@@markokozaric so are you too clever for this tutorial then?
Does anyone can find Marko Kozaric´s baby bottle?
@@markokozaric when u already can do it then why are you here?
Wow! I have watched far too many bunny hop tutorials by now, but this one is by far the best. Going into detail and showing it with those slomo-rewind-and-forward playing sequences is pure gold.
Thanks! You’ve got a new subscriber here.
If I ever wished someone would make a tutorial video on 180's with bikes I wish it was this guy. There are a million tutorials from bmx riders here on youtube and none of them are as in depth as this.
Right ?! I'm trying to learn the bunny hop 180 to fakie rollout myself . Ali Clarkston has a decent tutorial but as you said , not as in depth as this . I really like the forward/ reverse clips . Really shows body language and made me realize where I need improvement
It's pretty hard to make a tutorial for a move like 180s, because the parts of the move that take the most time to learn are things you can't really teach. You just have to figure them out by trial and error.
But I could make a video explaining what those things are and the other basics.
That would be cool ! I understand. I can 180 my fourplay , but it feels violent. Hard landing , and most of the time I can't seem to roll them out .
By far the best bhopping tutorial.
That green bike is SICK
the best most concise tutorial. i can actually bunny hop over 16inches now bcs of watching this.
I always dislike ‘how to’ trick videos, as it’s always too fast paced and not thoroughly explained, however this was great! Really helped, thanks!
Wow, short, repetitive slow motion shots explains it best! Brilliant!
This is one of the best bunny hop tutorials
this is a semi-scientific approach. very clear. awesome!
Mehr davon. Würde mich riesig freuen regelmäßiger von Dir zu hören. Die Videos sind einfach genial.
I watch so many videos how to bunny hop and yours really help me out the most
i just started bmx thank you for you explanation brother..👍👍👍
The edit style to really hilight the action and fi=unction is outstanding. Best I have seen, and I have watched a ton. 2023 the year i hop finally, you will have had a great hand in it. -- Cheers
Fantastic tutorial - already got the basics of bunnyhop down, but I reckon this'll help tidy it up a bit. Can't wait for part two.
The way you did the slow mo back and forth is perfect!
this video explains it like no other ,thanks so much
*0:35* "Let's HOP right into the technique." No pun intended ehem 😉
Keep up the amazing work my guy.
FINALLY YOU ARE GETTING SPONSORED!
Nice one!
this is the clearest explaination and demo of the techique, clean video my guy!
Great video! Thanks!
Absolutely detailed 🔥
the crow was also practicing lift-offs behind the fence @0:40

Your videos are always so well produced and narrated, cheers.

Klasse Turotial , vor allem den Tip mit der "Trockenübung" ohne zu springen habe Ich vorher noch nie gesehen.
Hab Ich gestern selbst mal probiert , klappt echt gut !
Mehr Videos bitte :) Gerne auch mal ne Street Trial Session :)
Really clear explanation 👍
Dude, your videos are awesome💥
Happy you like them :)
Really good explanation :)
Top man ! Thanks !
great great great great GREAT video
Probably best explanation I’ve seen. 🤙
This is the best youtube instruction videos for street trials. Why did the videos stop?
Really useful. Thank you. (It's like being taught to bunny hop by Werner Herzog).
Thank you for a great video. I was missing the part where you practise moving the bars back to your stomach at the start of the hop.
No this IS the best explanation. I've seen thousands of videos, but this is the most explanatory. I just started and I always tried to jump with the rear wheel as well without perfecting the initial movement. I'm going to try tomorrow!
Some of the tutorials says you shouldn't rock back, some says you should just be jumping n shouldn't use your arms, some says you should jump from the middle and a lot of crap like this. Most of the tutorials has 3 mins of intro where they argue about the name of the bunny hop, talk about their own nonsense theories and discredit all the other tutorials.
I wasn't able to improve myself for a month like not even a bit just because of the mess. Finally almost solved it myself but I could be doing much better now if this was the first tutorial I watched bc everything he has detailed here fits what I found and corrected myself. UA-camrs were elaborating it in a very different way, distracting you from where you should be focusing on but this one here is making everything 10x easier to understand.
People talk about bunny hop like it's politics.
Sponsored video? Usually people would complain, but I’m glad you’re getting recognised more and more
Excellent explanation! I really like your methodical approach to teaching skills. It’s also really good when you incorporate when the maneuver is not executed as planned and why it went wrong. That helps a lot! Awesome work!
Right and thats also something what you can do my friend. Just film yourself doing something and than watch it, then you can analyze what you were doing wrong. Best way to learn new skills/tricks.
Thank you 🙏
such great filming and editing. i repeatedly rewind and slo-mo most videos to really see the mechanics of something, but here it's so clear and spot-on - just perfectly in the flow.
I do that too! That's why I make my videos in a way that lets you continuously look at the part of the move I'm talking about.
@@TheUselessTrials it's super helpful -- and also very satisfying to see.
Finally after weeks!
More like years :D
Fantastic video that I was going to skip because “I already know how” to bunnyhop and seen a million videos. The one thing that is game changing for me is to do more of a jump up and NOT throwing a massive manual style pull back. So obvious now! 🤙
Explained well🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I think the first part of this tutorial (getting the front up) is one of the best out there. However, like many tutorials I believe it makes the mistake of focusing on the "scooping" thing when getting the rear up. Scooping is basically necessary when lifting only the rear tire from rest. But if you watch the slo mo of your own full bunny hop, you'll see that what gets the rear wheel up is actually just pushing the bars forward, which pivots the bike around the BB and therefore pivots the rear wheel up. Your feet are flat in the slo mo when that happens and never point toes down. I might be wrong though, I'm terrible at bunny hops myself.
This is false. Yes, pushing the bars forward helps level the bike out, but it's never going to do the lifting work for a really high bunnyhop. For an over 1 m high bunny hop for example, you have to lift the whole bike violently with everything you've got. That includes arms pulling up at first, then pushing forward, and legs/lower body pulling up. (taken to the extreme, even shoulders lifting the bars above your head - watch Ali C and Danny Mac)
So, the correct answer to 'How do you pull the rear up?' would be: You pull up the whole bike with your arms and legs at the same time while pushing the bars forward to level the bike out.
Maybe check out Part 2, where this is explained and shown.
@@TheUselessTrials Ah yes, sorry I was only referring to the leveling-out motion once you're in free fall (or getting the rear up for small hops), not the hops that are so explosive that the rear lifts significantly as part of the first motion as well. But now I've seen part two and you seem to acknowledge the same thing around 7:00, saying the scooping is only for practice?
One of the best bunny hop tutorials out! Not sure how I missed this one for so long. Great insight on why the nose heavy bunny flop is occurring.
Probably because the UA-cam algorithm stopped recommending my videos to new people a while ago 😅
@@TheUselessTrials That's a shame because this video is gold! Thank you for sharing it. 👍
Fantastic teacher. To support I signed up for Skillshare. My first dirt jumper / trials bike is scheduled to ship tomorrow. I'll be practicing!
Hope you'll like your new bike!
Max, your voice is so mesmerizing. Could you do a how to pedal kick video? Your explanations are phenomenal and no one has done a good pedal kick vid on how to jump from one object to another.
Idea noted! I'll try my best to make one.
Damm
Extra nen Shinner für ein Video machen 😅
Respekt haha
Die Schoner machen ihren Job 😁
How tf every video so good
Hey, that's completely not useless 👩🏼🔧
Great tutorial.
I was looking through your videos and couldn't find a tutorial on pumping, and that's something I'm really struggling with. Can you make a video on the topic?
спасибо, ты мне очень помог ))
Great Tutorial best one so far on high ollies on YT.... Do you have one on Back hops in the future?
Hi, I really like your videos, and how in depth are your tutorials.
I think that might be useful for your audience if you explain a roadmap of suggested tricks/skills from trakstand to *i don't know what*, so that a newbie can figure where to start or improve. It will be also useful for you to figure out which video to make after this one.
By the way, thx a lot
Really nice video, as usual....
I would love to have a good tutorial for „up to front“. Maybe a future project? 😉
Thanks for getting that shinner on purpose. I could tell it was not a real mistake.
very nice vid can you please do a how to 270 tyre tap drop👍🙏
Great tutorial and I really love how you fart out this crow at 0.41’’ hahahaha :)
Keep them coming - I mean the vids :) cheers!
Really good video next you can do a how to g-turn 👍🤙
thanks g
Sehr geil! Machen wir mal einen Wettbewerb? 😜
02:25 is super important - the move is not initiated by going fully into a manual!
Also, how do you set up your bikes size/cockpit wise?
The turqouis one long to have a loong angled stem 😊
Cheers 👍
Hi! Thanks for the great content! I see you are at times riding full suspension bike and at times a more traditional trials bike. Could you do a video where you compare different bikes in terms of trials riding? I mean strengths, weaknesses, use cases, what is suitable for beginners etc. (Full-suspension MTBs, Hard-tail MTBs, dirt/street oriented MTBs, specific trials bikes of different kinds etc.) That would be awesome!
I'll make a video on the differences between competition and street bikes and using other bikes for trials in the future!
