What an amazing bass player!!!!!!!
What a joy to listen to. Thanks man!!
Clark never disappoints on knowledge or chops. He's the kind of bass player I know I would want to work with daily.
The part about Jaco applying epoxy to the fingerboard of his bass came to my attention during 2020 when I entered the market for my own fretless model. It was referred to as a measure to take if I wanted to slap on the fretless, something which most people I've spoken to on the subject have discouraged. I don't know if the model I ended up with (a custom Carvin originally built for a good friend) was assembled with a layer of epoxy applied to its fingerboard, but that is something I hope to have done in the future.
I’d make sure to research it as much as possible. Jaco used a particular type but not long after his luthier stripped it and applied a more viscous type that was done in one layer.
I'm so busy that I almost don't have time to comment here. Thank you Clark, Brandon, and Jennnnnnnnn!
Oh yeah.
Jaco lives.
Nice!!! Great Bass! Attention to detail is off the hook !
Lucky enough to see Jaco at Winterland for Heavy Weather. It was awesome.
Some guy kept saying 'dance Jaco, dance' during 'Teen Town'.
He just smiled and tore it up.
BTW, opening act, Al DiMeola for 'Elegant Gypsy'.
Encore guest? One of Al's faves, Carlos Santana.
Pretty great show ;)
Nice big 3 pick. Great player yourself, Clark!
Clark's intonation is just a wonder.
Ehhhhhh
@@phatwithduhph2479 How dare you?
Clark is a talent! Play me some funky music!
I have this Bass and it it's a heavy-duty- weight item...but the neck is great as well as the tone...a great bass for those looking for a new set up...hands down a must have !!!!The Chicken bass line is the funkiest ever...!!!!!
clark made it sound like it was fretted his intonation was so good. fucking incredible
No it was not. It was way out of tune.
Now do the theme from Barney Miller. Perfect neck tone for this.🎸
Oh yeah, I'm busy brother... 😎👌
11:46 yes you are!
My Yamaha bass was barely playable, until I ripped the frets out and sanded the hell out of the fingerboard. Plays like a dream now.
Oh yeah! I´m busy... Gorgeous bass! Thanks, guys!
OH YEAH!
Oh yeah!!! Loved the spec check banter boys. Cheers!
Oh yeah!
"I'm not a fretless guy... but i do play one on tv."
O ja…that’s Dutch for oh yeah 😁 nice episode from big boy Clark. Sir Clark I have to admit to say. What a hell of a bass player !
Busy all around! oh yea!
I’m too busy to type in “oh yeah”
I never understand why Fender didn't put on precision controls rather than Jazz ones. They spend all that effort on the distressed finish and ignore the obvious. There must be a reason. Anyone know?
Nice playing there Clark!
That was great. Clark's a bada$$!
So good to see a real good swinging bassist. Jaco would have liked this guy....
ooh, ja? oh Jaco!
oh yeah
Oh yeaaaaaaah
I, too, am so busy, but great bass. More basses please. Stick with J & P basses : )
Is this Clark Sims or Stanley Clarke.....I cant tell?🤔
Incredible body finish!
Dayum
Cheers for the video guys 😎 👌
For me, it's definitely G. Lee
Jaco the Hendrix of the electric bass.
Alright Brandon......he’s no chicken 🐓!🎸
Crazy!
Nice!!!... but you need roundwoounds for Jaco's tone
Love it but here's a shout out for BOOTSY.
It would be cool to have a guitarist back up the Bass. It’s a Bittersweet day for me, Sold my Martín OOO15SM, if you get a chance and Norm has one get it.
Known as the “distress” Bass
i wonder why the knobs arent p bass knobs
The bridge pickup sounds right.
The front pickup, a bit dead.
The playing is great as usual.
Nice groove, wish it was in the Ampeg behind.
Clark knows his Jaco bass!
Oh yeah.
Needs chrome/knurled pot-knobs. :D
Don't forget Pino!
575 K subs. Oh yeah.....
So busy 😂
Brand spanking new but broken in just right. Clark’s Thumpin’ Thursday’s are cock of the walk.
Clark does fantastic playing, a far better guy than Mark Agnesi
Great feel and groove my guy - proves you can funk and slap on fretless!
Im pretty busy
By my way... you should play... more whith a GhostSpell spirit my Bro... start with an A then a B... Hope on the chords inthe Chrurch... ;) God Bless you... ;)
busy
That board looks like a slab one. I dig veener more for a fretless bass.
Oh yeaaah! Clark spec checkin the spec checker! Only at Norm's! Great thumping as usual. 👍
Clark how about Funky chicken 🐓 🎸❤️
ノブは付属品で自分で代えるんだな?
« I’m not a fretless guy » : proceeds to play like a beast
Star Trek episode Busy Busy
ノブが違う!
"This is the right guy for the job"
The right guy for the job: doesn't play a single fretless line
I can't hear anything
Chicken thighs carrying the bottom.
Player needs to get his game up
😂😂😂
All that technique, and still using fretted vibrato
It is way too shiny , that is obvious.
blop zing bloing bip pblup... MUSIC PLEASE!
The wear on the bass looks awful, really poor job.
Don't try this like Jaco. It is not.....
Always a joy to listen to Clark play! Awesome bass!
Oh yeah!
Clark is such a cool dude. Absolutely killed it and envious of him getting to play a Jaco bass.
It is very disrespectful to Jaco playing like drummer (slapping) . Please never do that to that instrument again.
@@George-kx6ej Fatman play better than Jaco :))
PETITE'S MARINE EPOXY ON THE FINGERBOARD!!
Clark was definitely gettin' busy !!! Thank you Brandon and Jen !!!
Busy George in Montana
Wow, Clark can really play. Sheesh! Nice one
Great looking and sounding bass, Clark brought it to life. But hey, all this hype and no talk about price, what does this bad boy replica cost? No listing on Normans Rare guitars website for this model either, what gives?
Yes. you should have researched that before you did the video 😂
Oh Yeayuuuuuuu
a bit odd since true custom shop jaco relics are precision metal knobs.
The brother is funkier than three-day-old sox
I'm too busy to even type anyt...
Victor Wooten, Anthony Jackson, and Thundercat(new generation choice)
Oh Yeah!
That was tight a f
Oh yeah
Nicely done 😊south great
Bizzy
Sounds like Call me Al.
Clark is the man.
Busy busy busy😂
Nice skills.
But i notice Clark is not a fretless player.
Everything is out of of tune, because the fingers are not placed on the fret line.
Oh yeah!
Clark did justice to that Bass. 👏🏼 🔥
Cool LOOKING bass, but doesn't have that "Mojo" that a real vintage Jazz has.
For me John Entwistle is the greatest rock and roll bassist.
Oh yeah!
Lemmy LOVED THE OX
Clark's right hand is freakin' bionic!
Jaco is number one for the influence he has had on bassists worldwide......imho.
