This is something I never really understood. Media has been around since before people could speak. From the moment people began to stare into the flames of a campfire, we've been transfixed by a need to socialize, play, dance, entertain, etc. Media evolves constantly, so why is she considered a "new god" when she should be as old as any love goddess?

@@Airahar Given that gods can change and evolve, this shouldn't have been the first time Media has evolved. She should have been Dionysus of old, changing, evolving, and updating as times change. But it seems that Media becoming New Media was somehow unique and different when it should have been a regular thing gods do to survive.

I'm still not certain if she actually knows what she's doing and why - I'm not fully convinced that she's as confident as she appears to be. She just seemed genuinely nervous when she said "oh, yeah...totally. I can up my game".

Old media was a total anachronism. Being the embodiment of TV and film and some flouncy golden age Hollywood star... in 2019? Come on! This one makes so much more sense. I think everyone was just circlejerking over the old one because Gillian Anderson played her and that's the only reason people don't like the new one.
