@@DrakariZargon you mean her brother - and speaking of which, I can't remember, did she ever refer to the daughter resulting from that attack? I mean I can't remember int and it's just so strange to think of Demeter without having one mention of Persephone?
You don't know much about my country's mythology except Ovid's metamorphosis lies to smear the Greek gods out of vindictive feeling for his exile from Rome and denial from Greece, don't you?
For anyone who reads this, the moment that she talks to him through the wall really encapsulates being depressed to me. She knows and wants to rejoin society an even admitting that in her state of mind must be a huge step that she’s would only take because she thinks she has a loved one who can support her this letting her feel less alone in her period of isolation. Reaching out and trusting someone in that way will take so much courage and strength which she clearly shows just before she sees the old way of being treated, as a tool who want her for something specific but no herself
In Neil Gaiman's books, at times, a deity can have multiple name and aspects. The same way religion spread and the image of the gods can be different (localized) but have same core. I think Zeus is the equivalent of Odin. In The Sandman, The Kindly Ones are the concept of triple goddesses and having many names. They can be Furies, Fates, or any triple goddesses.
Odin travelled all over the realms in Nordic lore, and he had children with multiple goddesses (or shall we say supernatural beings that can give birth to children), and because of his extensive mileage he is also the God of commerce.
Just here to remind you, that asgardian is a term describing an alien race from the marvel comics that live in Asgard, a planet in this case. This Odin is from the Edda. The actual Norse mythology. While the realm they dwell in is still called Asgard the term for them and is Asen. The family of Germanic Gods
It is just fiction ....if the series was to continue we may would have learned that Demeters daughter name is Persephone and we may have seen her seeking her to the underworld with ( probably the help of ...Ofnir ). Wisely Demeter disappears in her eternal sorrow in mid winter , as she will always lament for her precious beloved lost daughter ( as in Greek mythology )... As a Greek ( and after having seen Troy , Hercules and the rest ) am used to this American "open" interpretation ....
@@dimitrisdimitris8848 My people think of rain as the tears of one of our primordial Gods. Ranginui and Papatūanuku continue to grieve for each other to this day. Ranginui's tears fall towards Papatūanuku to show how much he loves her. Sometimes Papatūanuku heaves and strains and almost breaks herself apart to reach her beloved partner again but it is to no avail. When mist rises from the forests, these are Papatūānuku's sighs as the warmth of her body yearns for Ranginui and continues to nurture mankind.
The most gentle and sad of all old Gods ....
Yeah well raped by his brother, and left alone by Ofnir (in series obviously)

Zorya was good
This one really got to me. Demeter is far too gentle for Odin's war.

Most gentle….ok Demeter cursed a man to hungers so much that he ate himself.
@@Aki-kh2qe-StreetKidZZZ I'm not talking about the source material. My comment is only about Demeter as she is depicted in the show .

That is the point. Like in The Lighthouse is open to interpretation.
