Lock Noob I use a torx driver that fits it good. I have 7 full sets of Allen keys both imperial and metric including half sizes and not one of the almost 100 fits. Lol
Lock Noob even for someone who was raised on the imperial system, Master makes it difficult! To gut my 7035 I had to make a driver out of a spare torx bit and then later bought an actual screwdriver set with the right torx in it 🙀 and I still wound up buying a torx driver similar to what you showed 😂
gotcha 100% its now officially on my shopping list. its behind a few other locks that i will get later but its on the list. do you think yale padlocks are worth it? i live in america and i never see a yale anywhere.... but if its important to know how to pick, i would pick up a few. i been focusing on master, brinks, abuis and american locks( i struggle) because they are the most common here. it p[art of my regime of the Art of Manliness. i also practice knots, maps and other man skills. we must all be ready for the zombie apocalypses.
Luck of the draw! A slight change in bitting would make that much tougher. BTW, I have seen your vid on lever locks, but how does one pick a double bitted, barrel keyed, 6 lever padlock? With in interior curtain? tough old lock!
This lock was on a conex at work and we didn't have the key for it... I couldn't pick it because it was on a hasp and the key way was upside down, we ended cutting it with bolt cutters unfortunately...
Great to see that I'm not the only one who struggles with those damn circlips! Love the series so far, can you say where you managed to get some of these from (I know that this one was borrowed).
Super nice picking. Had lo laugh hearing you struggling with "chosen" :-) That is indeed a great lock but gutting was a really difficult. These metric / imperial differences are really annoying. I once wanted to replace a screw on a cam but it was an imperial one. So I had to make a new metric thread in the imperial thread to use the new screw.
It's usually when you're 2/3rds of the way through stripping a machine down, parts everywhere that you find despite having full sets of hex keys, torx security bits etc that you STILL don't have the right size. Or is it just me? :( :p
Here in Merica we all have to own both metric and imperial. Because no way could we be normal the the rest of the world. Besides the tool manufacturers need to double their sales by doing nothing.
So, what kind of idiot doesn't have imperial hex keys? This kind apparently! This awesome lock was kindly lent to me by my friend Rik :-)
Lock Noob even if you do have them, they are odd size. Another reason I dont like master.
West Coast Picks Luckily, the set I bot worked fine :-)

Defo a nice masterlock my friend and very nice picking😎👍😊😊👍👍👍
Leon's lockpad thanks :-)
Well done!!
Ryan Ott thank you :-)
Nice Picking, on a good looking lock. 👏👍I gotta get one some day.
William Mancel thanks, yeah they look great don't they?
William Mancel I just searched eBay for one and they all seem to be listed as 5 pin. there's no fun in that :)
I got one, and it's a fun pick. I will have to gut mine and see if it has 6 pins.
i thought i would never buy another master lock again until i saw this.....
It’s a really nice lock. If it had American Lock Pins, it would be even better :-)

Very carefully lol ;-)

Ouch... hope you still got the lock though? :-)
Very nice master! I also like their 7035. I think you would as well with the shrouded shackle 😉
It think you "choosened" the wrong hex set! haha😁On a serious note, It looks half descent for a Master👍
Don'z Lockz lol. Yeah, it's a nice one :-)

TheSnowplough all off eBay apart from this loaner :-)
I just filed down a metric hex key a little to gut my master pro series XD
BlackDolphin90 not a bad idea :-)
New Sub, excellent job!
72cmcinc thank you, lots of vids to come :-)
Master found a way to keep you out
5qu1n7 lol, yes they did!

Thank you :-) I'm glad that I'm not the only person to fall foul of the imperial/metric thing!

SpikeMoby lol, I'm sure it's not just you :-)
I just started picking and this thing is way too hard for me. But, I keep trying anyways. Lol
kinda seems like someone got on masters payroll
Lol 😂 the pro series are pretty good locks. Not the best, but good

We mix imperial and metric in the same conversation in the U.K., So confusing, but funny. :-)
It's not called imperial. That's your first problem. They are called freedom units!
Imperial? Here in the States we call it either metric or S.A.E.. Not imperial.
It’s metric and imperial over here :-)
