As a long time foxhole player, I really like your more mil-sim approach to foxhole. Despite being newer players, you guys were fighting as effectively as some veteran Foxhole clans. Just goes to show the basics of combat translate well in game, and once you get more familiar with the mechanics you guys could really start. I will say though, as someone who focuses on Logi, 50k Bmats is not really as much as you might think. An good sized artillery op can blow right through that in a matter of minutes, and Landing operations can easily hit 1 million. It really emphasizes teamwork, and working together as a faction to win the war as no one player could ever produce that much. That's one of the reasons I love this game so much; we have to work together and have built a closer community than most other games.
Any sort of mil shooter experience tends to carry over. The only community that rejects this is Squad but Squads community is basically a cult with an identity crisis at this point.
Idk man, a lot of the game’s culture depends on never making a mistake and having high rank. People used to call me stupid for using a sniper rifle when I was pvt but as WO2 no one cares because they know I know what I’m doing.
@@Tinylittledansonman sure, but is a rank system and a culture surrounding it enforcing strict hierarchy really fun to play? Yeah, it functions somewhat decently in strategic and logistical implementation and overall base/facility defensiveness/productiveness but does it really produce a fun experience for the player low on the totem pole who essentially gets ordered around and carries out the bidding of those that know more?
The reason I absolutely love this concept is when you stop a supply truck/vehicle and destroy it, you're actually destroying weapons, supplies, or general materials that effect the tide of a war. It's not like games such as Far Cry, where you take down a MASSIVE supply line, but all of the enemies are still equipped with good shit. You can ACTUALLY make a difference with Guerilla Warfare tactics in this game. And I love it for that. Great video, keep up the fun stuff.

Alright, here are a few tips: Use SMGs to disable trucks, 2 guys with SMGs will disable trucks way more often than 5 guys with rifles. Always have at least two medics when operating, running the Medic Uniform or Outriders Mantle (if you need to be undetected by radar) - Always bring the Trauma Kit with Plenty of Plasma and a Medic Kit. - If one medic goes down, the other medic prioritizes that medic. When capturing a truck full of Basic Materials, another option instead of dumping them is to entrench there. - Build Rifle Pillboxes, Anti Tank Pillboxes, Watchtowers, whatever you want. You can hide inside them during fights, and you're making the Bmats unrecoverable by making them your own structures. - Obviously, this will draw lots of attention; make the call when to stay, when to resupply, or when to go. Don't use RPGs to disable trucks, use them to fend off tanks that come to QRF you. The Anti Tank Rifle is a lighter alternative to the RPG, and therefore you can store more ammo inside. *The deeper into enemy lines you go, the less resistance you will face and the more damage you can do.* - I'm talking about another hex deeper than you planned to go; that's when you find people/facilities harvesting raw materials, and if you're lucky, they're the least defended. Another possibility is bringing one of your own CVs to a secluded place in enemy lines and setting up a Partisan Base. You'll have a place to store your loot, a place to submit enemy crates, but if it's found out, and the enemy captures the base, you're basically giving back loot. *Only do this if you're confident you make a base that won't be found* I'm a foxhole vet, and I've been looking for a potential Partizan Clan to join. I'm not the best at it; but I do love cutting the enemy backlines. Edit: OH, ALSO WIND IS A BITCH TO COMPENSATE FOR WHEN TARGETING ARTY, I understand it makes Arty a bit more challenging, so it's not just point and click; but I fucking hate wind. But still, compensate for wind direction, look at the flags on defenses or watchtowers, and see how fast the flag is fluttering. You're working on a scale of 1 to 5, considering wind speed. This is something you will learn to tell from experience. Also, to Whiplash, since they seem to like the LMGs, it's faster to unequip, change locations/turn around, then re-equip than it is to be always carrying the thing. It's meant for stationary positions; but you can just reset your positions by unequipping then re-equipping
you're giving it back but it's unlikely anybody is going to use it, especially if it's off-road in the boonies. if its mostly their stuff youre basically misallocating their resources to some backline decay-trap. if some poor lifer actually sits there pulling uncrated supply out of it piece by piece that's their time to waste I guess. one less person doing something useful.
@@jamesc.8376 This but also in order for them to take the resources, they'd also have to destroy the base, not destroy the husk of the base, rebuild the base (which flips it to friendly which allows you to take stuff), and then take out the stuff that's left - and when you rebuild a base that belonged to an enemy, it destroys something like a third of the quantity of each item and removes all tech, which shouldn't leave too much. This is also the same reasons why tap raids work - simply by destroying the town base of a major town and "tapping" it (placing the blueprint) most of the items in the town hall and any further factories/refineries/etc you destroy disappear and they cannot be rebuilt for several days.
Veteran Mortar Tip: group your mortarmen around the spotter, really close packed. The distance and azimuth the binos give are relative to the spotter; so the further the mortar is from the spotter, the worse the accuracy will be. Additionally, mortar teams should use staggered firing, to ensure a continuous rain of mortars on target. Bonus tip: the corners of your screen provide the longest view distance when aiming. Therefore, rotating the camera so the corner always faces the enemy is a good idea.
or just learn to spot properly by calculating your distance and azim from the mortar team to the distance and azim of the target then giving your mortar team accurate values
It was a great time. Playing with facilities was a little to time consuming for such a small force but the partisan and Frontline fighting was on point.
I was unfamiliar with this game before this video randomly popped up on my feed. I figured I'd try it. I'm about 10 hours into it and so far have stormed trenches with only a pistol, crept through an enemy controlled forest at night hunting Collies and being huntedq, slipped behind enemy lines to steal a truck full of fuel and drove it back to friendly territory, and partook in a hellish battle for a bridge complete with tanks and incoming artillery (Battle for Sess, Nov. 3, 2022). The learning curve isn't as bad as I expected, and I am hooked.
I found it hilarious btw how you at once were competent enough to sneak in through the RDZ wway behind the lines, and new enough to steal a sledge of a random scrooper you ambushed :D
So simple Top down, but your description and the way you run your guys with modern tactics over the human wave attacks that I have seen so many times before is the pizza of resistance.

@@Kenionatus Yeah. Unless you get very unlucky and a shell lands right in the trench with you, you're going to be fine if you keep your head down a bit. On the other hand, artillery (and especially 120mm) is great for suppressing advances. Heres a tip for when playing arty, you gotta stand at the same angle as your mortar team!!!! If youre 5m to the south of your mortar, you would have to triangulate to give a good angle for your mortar. You dont do that math. Stand on top of your arty piece.
Learning how to triangulate is very useful though. It's essential for long range forward observers. But you don't do the math either way, use the foxhole arty calculator.
God i remember deadlands during war 96, it was a meat grinder, both sides threw so many armour at each other almost everyday until the wardens were finally pushed out
Hey CPG, as I watched I kept expecting you to use the Seaport in Ulster Falls or the Storage Facility at Prairie Bazaar given your desire to secure your materials and such. I'm not an expert on their usage, yet, but I believe you can create a reserved stockpile in which to store your stuff, though you may or may not have had to have made it or gotten it from a public stockpile (not sure exactly how that bit works). From there you could have created your BB closer to the front, and then maybe had some people run logistics to keep it stocked as needed just to keep the supplies in a more secure location further back. Also, it wasn't clear from the video if you did this or not, but you may have been able to more efficiently transport the supplies from the back lines in shipping containers on flatbeds and boats (but maybe that wasn't the best move for reasons I'm unaware of). Mostly I just kinda like how the bulk shipping stuff works, and I was hoping to see it put into practice. In any case, I think things worked out well in the end.

Hey, don’t know how recently you did this op, but typically in Foxhole you want to wait at least a couple weeks, preferably a war, before posting content of your operations. Don’t want to accidentally give away intel. Great vid, hope to see more.
The op is pretty old at this point. The lines are completely different in the infrastructure, defensive positions have all changed significantly. I definitely considered the OPSEC impact before posting. Not super worried about it.
@@ControlledPairsGaming yeah at least try to keep the actual map intel to a minimum or not at all. You can also use a map variant that doesn't give any intel what so ever to get your point across. Nice vid :)
@@ControlledPairsGaming In the Foxhole community people get really picky about information leaks especially on youtube so even if your intel is expired not showing it will save you a major headache from the Redditors.
I was thinking of playing this game with a group of guys from a gaming group I'm in, but the thing that holds me back a bit is this - what stops people from stealing all the supplies that your private group has amassed? It'd be super frustrating to spend so much time grinding for an operation, only to find that a bunch of randoms took all the supplies for whatever reason. Is there a way to lock things?
Just got to manage your lots well, and keep vehicles in private storage where possible. Its not perfect, but its more workable than you think. Most people are lazy and will only steal readily available vehicles. Partisans, you got to watch out for.
You can't stop allies from taking supplies but say you and your friends set up an outpost in a quiet area . It's liable to stay relatively untouched because its not needed for the battle but if you place your base in a more strategically friendly position you are liable to have 100+ players using your base as a spawn it all just depends
For storage depots and seaports, you can place your materials in a private stockpile with a code. For bunker bases, you just have to pray. Also, players of the enemy faction can’t open the inventory of a storage depot, seaport, bunker base or relic/town base.
this game looks really cool, does anyone know any that are similar to this? I have a weird work schedule and not much time off to game but I love the looks of this game. I tried to track it with an igni to keep it away while you crossed the border but I got gunned down and when I got back there was another HT and LUV. Not currently in a regi in case you're recruiting :)
As a Colonial asset, this vlog was an excellent primer for those new to Foxhole Inferno 1.0 and a good expose on the enormous aspects this sandbox perpetual war. I look forward to seeing CPG and his crew expand their operations and perhaps demo some advanced CONOPS. By the way, Salty Warden's are on the verge of being defeated in War 96.
Fuckin hell did you talk to IRA members before this op? This is so detailed and strategic I love it
New players with mountains of previous game experience taking on the hardest task in Foxhole. This oughta be good.
That game looks awesome to play and a ton of fun!
Sure is, you should try.
Just make sure to pick the right faction, also makes shooting pairs easier :D
Why is this the first time im seeing this game? I never knew this existed but it seems like a dream game for me.
Dude its pretty badass
Really nice squad tactics. I really loved you guys attacking with three units at a time to reveal the full numbers of your force. Very classical.
Wouldn't know any better we just play games on the internet
A vet of foxhole here. I love the use of your style of gameplay. Back when I played I did the same. So much so Tanneth became a meme. Keep up the good work. o7
Tanneth you can't escape
*Get on boi you missing the funny 1.0 update*
Amazing. Explaining everything one by one with visuals of the map so cool.
At this point CPG, I think a dedicated Logistics team just to keep TF Pairs supplied may have to be a thing. Do keep it up, love the content!
“Each operation needs complex planning” my operations are just BANZAI/ suicide bomb with mammons 💀
As a vet i can confirm a packing list is the first thing you do as an NCO.
Logistics is the jock strap of the army.😅
You should be able to steal uniforms
"Take a knee, face out, drink water"
What unit were you in? lol
It's good to see somebody taking some initiative on that front it's been a total shit show
I click this video with absolutely no information of the game and I am bombarded with military combat tactics that I barely follow, time to get the game now
Id watch a whole campaign of this lol
At least this proves that guerilla warfare is the fastest way to piss off an lot of people in this game.
Ayyy. About time pairs uploads, i might try the game and buy it from your online store :)
34:26 like a movie. Such a good vid.
Awesome! I'd love to see more!
'After facing a mechianised force...' No, not the jeep.
Excellent tutorial. Good to see posting well after the evolution.
Love it ! Been waiting for someone Tacticool to hop on this game 🎉❤
Very nice video, good play and presentation.
The emphasis on 50k Bmats made this logi main chuckle though :D
We only had like 6 people working logi!
@@ControlledPairsGaming Oh, thats more than I was anticipating XD Again, logi main, 50k Bmats is a short evening with a few episodes of netflix to me, particularly now with the autominers, minecarts and such.
Nothing but immediate lifesaving steps in a gunfight Controlledpairs. Stop bandaging when the enemy is still shooting your buddies (unless you’re bleeding badly). 😉
Also you should try the artillery sound mod
Oh I thought if you were bleeding you have like 10 seconds lol
@@ControlledPairsGaming you’ll be fine if you aren’t sprinting, kill the colonial bastards shooting at you, then bandage, then run back to your medic
what a game, a game that forces you to act like a actual military with routes resupplying scouting spying ect ect
This was more planned than my deployment to Afghanistan
This tier planning in-game is the sacrifice of many showers
Dang your a warden, lol. You goin down my guy!
hi cpg i hope you make more videos of this game i realy like the concept and how you play the game
Honestly a great game! I gotta work on my aim though...
Oh, my fucking God. I thought this was just your only typical third person shooting games.
hahaha naaaaahhh my dude. This thing goes hard.
I can whole heartedly say that partisan warfare is the best way to fight after my regiment got absolutely clapped in saltingrad we ended up completely cutting off the supply lines for something like 3 days afterwards
Damn, this is some MACVSOG level operational effectiveness right here
for regi supplies: use a private stockpile at seaport or storage
Michael Frost: Was cool to see this on my recommended. Totally forgot I was in this video and it brought back a ton of great memories.
@@quark8571 damm, redditors are the worse
36:11 Whiplash? Isn’t he the guy who writes scripts for Space Engineers?
Let’s goo, you made a video of foxhole! Ty
Definitely a trip! Keep on keepin on!
this kind of stuff was always my dream for open world games...
This is really cool. Not heard of the game. Would love to see you become a more effective partisan and see more of this.
Would love to play this game for 24 hours straight if I could afford to do that nowdays
armored cars are great for partizan in this game that's what me and my boys use
6:20 bro should have said that in a Mexican voice lol.
Some random person: So how are you experienced in tactical warfare and logistics? Me: Oh I played Foxhole xD
Yup. You can do a private stockpile and password protect it.
You can lock vehicles but they can unlock them with a wrench. And facilities that you build cant be accessed by enemies. Hope i helped
I did not skip any second of this masterpiece. Really entertaining video, considering the fact that this game can be quite boring sometimes.
Great video! The voice-over operation briefing was really cool
Bro foreal just reloaded an anti-tank rifle on every shot😂
Rip the logimen
THIS GAME IS CRAZY ITS HARD TO RECORD DOE BUT FUN TO PLAYYY BRUHHH
I'd like to try this. Are there any [TFP] enjoyers in EU time zones?
I think so! Come hangout
When a videogame turns into your second job.
Good if not great tactics < unarmed and somehow all terrain jeep
So pumped for this video. This game is awesome
How have I never heard about this game👀
this game looks really cool, does anyone know any that are similar to this? I have a weird work schedule and not much time off to game but I love the looks of this game. If anyone has any suggestions for ones that are similar but maybe single player I'd love to hear it. planning, logistics building trenches and executing attacks like this looks really fun.
Its too bad y'all are blueberries. Love the approach and execution. Solid use of your TTPs. If I could get my guys even half as efficent, I'd be happy.
Cool video - not cool to see the warden Intel broadcasted over the internet. The whole midline and backline is visible, as are our facilities. There is a save map mapped to the N-key. Use that for videos
Good to know. I appreciate it.
Lmao who cares
This would be a good offline mode. Call it something like partisan initiative in which you and your online team go behind enemy lines and disrupt their logistics via guerrilla warfare. Collecting whatever ammo and supplies from downed enemies. However it gets tougher with each week and sooner or later you’ll be overrun.
i think i was actually in the defense of the fort... if i was sorry for stealing operational equipment tho it was much needed :)
Future of MMO is here.
The bit towards the end taking artillery fire was intense
Omg never heard of this game looks awesome
Really enjoyed this video. Thanks for the content. Subbed!
Roger's Rangers, Merrill's Marauders, Pair's Partisans🤙
🔶🤘🤣
25:07 That's some Fury stuff right there...
Doesn’t take much tactical skill to make a entire squad do a suicidal charge
Damn man, that's lit. Game came up so far...looks so good.
