    The surefire (biologist approved) way to tell whitebass from Hybrids is to check the tounge for tooth patches. One round dot on the tounge and it is 100٪ a white bass. If there are two elongated patches ( bannana shaped) its either a true striped bass or a hybrid striped bass. Hybrids and true stipers are way easier to differentiate.

    Nice work brother! I remember about 30 yrs ago, I caught a bunch of those white bass. Took em home, fileted all of them, and THEN read the consumption advisory. Oh well, read first, then filet! Thanks brother, great video!

    Nice video, good tips! Love the late fall walleye bite, this year the late-fall was better than early/mid fall. Looks like the rivers down there get a lot more boat traffic than the rivers in here Western NY! That must be inserting to be hooking fish in front of ships going by!

    I frequently start off the night with white bass... then the sauger move in and then the walleyes start up.
    And like others have said, the bets way to tell the difference is the tooth patch in the mouth. 1=white bas 2=hybrid

    Hey brother, love the videos! Fellow western pa fisherman. Mostly on the rivers. Been fishing a barge dock recently and have had some success with heavier jigs tipped with night crawlers. Current is strong and water is deep. It goes from 30 feet right off the edge to supposedly around 50. Any suggestions on how you would fish it? Love to hook up and see how you guys do.

      Thanks man! Gosh I don’t normally fish that deep…not the best person to ask. But maybe jig and minnow to complement the night crawlers. And maybe blade baits. Personally i rely heavily on timing when the walleyes come shallow, which is why I’m always night fishing

    awsome video man, appreciate you sharing ur walleye knowledge! would you say its still worth going out into mid to late december for them or does it slow down alot?

      @absoluteunitmedia  9 місяців тому +1

      Absolutely worth it. I think some of the biggest walleye get caught straight through winter….but I generally stop once a big freezing flood happens in January and go ice fishing

    I am new to the channel and posted my first comment in the wrong place. I've enjoyed watching you guys load up. I really like the color of your jerkbait and style, do you mind me asking what brand it is? I'm in southern Missouri and don't recognize it. Thanks!

      Thanks! It’s the Rapala Shadow Rap 11 deep version in olive green color. I put an Amazon affiliate link in the video description if you’re interested (price is the same for you but I’ll get a small commission if you use that link) 🤷

    What color shadow rap is your favorite? I’m guessing the one you use in the video is olive green. Ever tried the shadow rap on Pymatuning?

      I have not. Honestly I don’t even remember buying the olive green one it’s just the one I have tied on. Don’t really have a favorite color but I usually pick natural colors
