    As a local Pittsburgh guy. I’ve found your videos very informative. I’ve been fishing the rivers dams and creek mouths for years. You just confirmed that if you put in the work and time to employ crankbaits at night it pays off. Great videos. Maybe I’ll run into you somewhere one night..

    Love this vid! Yes, huge baits sometimes equals huge fish. And also fishing at night with huge baits can be the ticket! This looked like a perfect storm of time of year, right baits and right area. Well done!

    In Ontario and my favorite fishing time is late fall at night for trophy walleyes. Rapala jointed countdowns (discontinued) work best.

    Thanks for the video😎 You made my day and gave me a lot of hope for this years shore fishing for walleye in Denver Co. This is my 2nd year of conversion to all artificial lures, and strickly walleye fishing from shore. I have only caught 1-10 in walleye from shore in the last 2yrs at Cherry Creek Resavoir, using a 2.5 in charteuse bluegill paddletail lure. Thanks again 😎✌🎩

    In the past at that area we used the broken back 4 in Rapala and a Kmart lure that looked like it, that was only $1.00 which was also a broken back the same length. They killed those lures. Always started fishing about 8:30 pm untill about 11:pm. Haven't fished there for awhile now, but plan on soon. Hope to see you there or on the Mon some day.

    Big bait, big fish. In our lakes a 30 in. Walleye usually goes 10 lbs. Must be lighter in the river. Big bass baits work too.

    • @absoluteunitmedia

    Where I fish the best bait is just normal 3-4 inch spoons in black and white or in all honesty countdown rapala s or drop shots you should try drop shotting with beaver tail flat worms or minnows I’ve got 3 walleye over 32 a 33 a 37 and a 36 on just sucker minnows hooked through the nose but glide baits are my favorite fall and spring baits besides jerk baits

    Great to see a lot of giant fish from one spot. Unfortunately many of our fishers don't let them go. So others like me are lucky to catch one or two such monsters in a year.

    • @absoluteunitmedia

      Yes there is very little harvesting done in the rivers because the common belief is that they are dirty. Most of the walleye harvesting around here happens in the Great Lakes

    • @rivercatch8216
      @rivercatch8216 Рік тому +5

      Its important to release most of the larger walleye since they are much more efficient at reproducing. Its best to selectively harvest average size walleye to eat. This way more and larger fish are able to be caught in the future.
