Ya we were casting over 9-14 feet of water where the weeds were tapering off. The main thing was we picked weeded points and humps that were adjacent to the main lake/ channel rather than tucked away in creek arms

Probably a dumb question but I’m still new to musky fishing. Is the figure 8 just as important on the bank as it is on the boat?

I think it’s probably just as important, but the problem is that a lot of times from the bank you can’t really do one, or at least not well….therefore, if I’m bankfishing at a spot I can’t really figure 8 I’ll use a bait that they’re more likely to hit further out, like a glide bait or some kind of pull-pause bait like rubber
