Great Video! I love watching your videos.. they remind me of every wildlife photography outing I go on.. it is so awesome to see how Real trips go in a UA-cam video.. and seeing your excitement when see things you weren't expecting.. keep up the great work! I'll keep watching!
Great video and very well put together. Bet that three hour wait was so worth it! What a beautiful bird that kingfisher is. I’ve seen them a couple times at the refuge but was never able to photograph them both times was so unexpected and they flew by so quickly
Yes it really was. It’s one of those birds where you really need to sit and wait for it to show up because otherwise they are very skittish. I couldn’t tell you how many times I ended up scaring one and I didn’t even know it was there! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching they are fun and challenging to photograph. I believe I got them from Cabela’s, but you can find them online at a lot of different retailers. I know there are a few on Amazon.com.
Kingfishers are awesome birds to watch and impressive hunters. Definitely a bird worth being on the bucket list. I use the F-stop brand backpack. I have links to all my gear in the bottom of my video descriptions if you want to check it out. let me know if you have any other questions.
Todd thank you. May I ask what camera, lens and tele converter if used, tripod and head you are using and how you rate the ease of movement and stability of the head? Great video.
Thanks for watching, For this video I used the canon R5 with the 600 mm F4 Version II and a 1.4 teleconverter. I also use a Benro Tripod and Manfrotto Video Head. The exact models can be found below the video in the description with affiliate links to the products on amazon. I like using the Manfrotto video head because it is nice and smooth for video and the tension can be adjusted, however it is much heavier than a gimbal head. I find the stability of the tripod to be best when it is not fully extended, which is to be expected from a cheaper model tripod.
What a wonderful encounter with those deer.
Thank you for watching! It really was!
Really loved the footage of thr deer.
Thank you! It was nice to find them as I had seen so many signs of them in the forest!
Great video as always!

What a great outing, Todd. Great time of the year, also, to locate nests for future photo adventures. Take care now.👍👍

It's been two years now that I'm waiting for the perfect shot LOL
Twice a week, I see him every time but it's far away

What is your tripod setup?
I use a benro tripod and a Mannfrotto video head. I have links for them in the description of the video if you want to check them out further.
I hate those red winged black birds
While they can be overwhelming, they are one of the first signs of spring up here! Thank you for watching!
