      Jsut that in itself is very impressive. But for someone who has run 1:42/1:43 maybe more standard… for the average sub 1:50 guy that would be tough or the paces would need to be a lot slower

    Great work cinematically. Also I love the idea of a split 400. Gotta be able to run just as fast if not slightly faster in practice if you wanna do it in a race!

    As a high school athlete getting ready for outdoors this video helped me know that not feeling good doesn’t mean you can’t workout great!

    Did similar workouts with the broken 400’s back in the day, super beneficial. I remember when my coach implemented them, and after a few weeks of those, I felt like I was gliding on the track and had stronger kicks.
    But I hated them because I threw up like you did nearly every time 😂

    Still 3rd in UK all time 800 @1:42.97 😮

    Was this a succesful session? 500 meter in 3;39 1500meter pace. a 300 meter in 1:50 800meter pace and a 200meter in a fast 800 meter pace.
    I wonder if this session was a confidence booster!

    Didn’t say the 5-3-2 breaks but I’m guess 3-2 min rest

    • @ClaytonMurphy800
      @ClaytonMurphy800  Рік тому +2

      Rest was actually about 35 seconds on average between the broken 400 reps and the 532 reps. 6 minutes rest after the first broken 4 and 8 minutes after the 5-3-2

    Why the super complicated workout? Why not go through at least one 4 in 48/9 as specific race work?

    • @Premovato
      @Premovato Рік тому +1

      It’s early so working on efficiency at this point. Longer efforts are good getting closer to outdoor nationals or worlds

  • @luispalacios7412

    His form is deceiving sub 4 min mile pace looks like he’s not going much faster than comfortable effort.
