Rest on the 500-300-200 was 80 m ever jog in less than 1 min~
Jsut that in itself is very impressive. But for someone who has run 1:42/1:43 maybe more standard… for the average sub 1:50 guy that would be tough or the paces would need to be a lot slower
Leave the indoor season behind ya and let's roll in outdoor!
The whole story matters
@@alexandreiTF Sorry, I didn't mean the videos. I meant mentally. Keep the videos coming!
@@baumsquad222 👍🏻 we’re locked in for it🤞🏻
Great work cinematically. Also I love the idea of a split 400. Gotta be able to run just as fast if not slightly faster in practice if you wanna do it in a race!
I lowkey hate how this video came out but thanks 😭
Literally so happy that the indoor season is over and we can have outdoor lighting
As a high school athlete getting ready for outdoors this video helped me know that not feeling good doesn’t mean you can’t workout great!
The 4K quality is a sight for sore eyes. Great work Alex
Ong I’m taking it to 8k outdoor season.
Very good quality video as always! Can't wait to see what's in store for you this season!
rooting for you always clayton
Best workout you ever posted. Looking forward to seeing you outdoors!
That workout was Fuego🔥🔥🔥and awesome vid!
Love the videos!
Great content, greater efort on the track, greatest athlete of the U.S.A 800 m, hope u win the Olimpiade on 2024 Paris !
Did similar workouts with the broken 400’s back in the day, super beneficial. I remember when my coach implemented them, and after a few weeks of those, I felt like I was gliding on the track and had stronger kicks.
But I hated them because I threw up like you did nearly every time 😂
Love you Murphy
Peter Elliott looked for the trash can after his 4x400 reps in low 50's in Sheffield.
Still 3rd in UK all time 800 @1:42.97 😮
“That’s good, if you have a bug, that’ll kill the bug”- science
Brother you are the best of allll
Definitely try to get the sleep as well.
do you do any indicative workout prior to an 800 race? if so whats your go to? i do 3 400s with 5 minute break between each; thoughts
The Best...
Pretty dang fast
Love coach labeattys (I know I butchered that spelling sorry haha) commentary on this one!
the alarm didn't sound
What watch do you wear Clayton?
I really like you, can you do a video about your diet? It would really help me and other athlets
🐐
The Nick Symmonds we needed
Lol, Nick's now off doing Ninja Warrior contests and rollerblading backwards on Mount Everest against polar bears.
What’s the rest on those 5/3/2s?
80m.
About 35 seconds
@@ClaytonMurphy800 you are incredible 🏃♂️😉
Was this a succesful session? 500 meter in 3;39 1500meter pace. a 300 meter in 1:50 800meter pace and a 200meter in a fast 800 meter pace.
I wonder if this session was a confidence booster!
Though the breaks were really short!
My name is Jameson Decatur I’m a big fan in the akron area. I run the 800m too. I would love to meet with you and talk to you
Didn’t say the 5-3-2 breaks but I’m guess 3-2 min rest
Rest was actually about 35 seconds on average between the broken 400 reps and the 532 reps. 6 minutes rest after the first broken 4 and 8 minutes after the 5-3-2
Why the super complicated workout? Why not go through at least one 4 in 48/9 as specific race work?
It’s early so working on efficiency at this point. Longer efforts are good getting closer to outdoor nationals or worlds
His form is deceiving sub 4 min mile pace looks like he’s not going much faster than comfortable effort.
