If he is doing a VO2 Max workout like the coach said he is running @ his 2 mile pace and the recovery is 1:1, meaning what ever he runs he rests. It is a very good workout add it to your routine and you will see results.
This guy just keeps hitting PRs. Very efficient arm movement when striding. The speed work has made the difference for him. He just keeps improving. Brazier's biggest threat in the US.
Good going bro man. I'm in love with the coach's high😛. Coach athlete bond is awesome there. The coach is so caring and when we win people only give credit to us but there are coaches behind our back ❤️
I always thought his arm swing was so awkward, but then you watch GOATS like Kelvin Kiptum and realize the arm relaxation is essential to fast running.
Jgt11gamer I mean I agree with that statement, but it’s very inefficient when someone of elite quality should be able to relax the arms and use them effectively. Practice how you play.
Nub Cast this guy runs nearly 5-6 mph in his 800 races. Imagine you run a 4 minute mile:15mph then you do 6 min mile repeats:10mph. It would be an absolute JOG
Mike Porter This is a VO2 max workout designed to increase his efficient use of oxygen. It is 4800 meters total so correct pace and recovery time is essential. The pace would be somewhere around his two mile pace with 1:1 run/recovery time. Its a tough workout.
Wow an actual new workout
I really like his mentality about his workouts and competitions. Giving your best and not overtraining is always very positive for running.

dude, he makes it look effortless! It looks like he's doing a warmup!!! Crazy!
*Casually jogs my PR*
Yeah I was going to say 2:16 is the fastest time I’ve ever done !
Your PR is terrible, and so this kind of comment
@@luispastor8089 relax not everyone is a D1 or D2 athlete or even a college athlete
He jogged my pr I need to up my game
In such vids on youtube about workouts - often I am missing the regeneration times - its pretty important like the actual reps themself.
Hardwork pays off mate, nice run and smile after your finish for the semi-final=)
He has one of the best high school accomplishment lists!
How tall is he because it looks like he’s walking and no arm swing
He's about 5'11 or 6'0
Listed at 6’0.” Long legs, though.
His rhythm is in his shoulders. Being a distance runner, there is less need for more arm swing as in sprint mechanics. He is relaxed and doing fine.
@@malcolmdotson5460 nah, his arm carry is awkward. Works for him though.
for 1.44 800m runner no need for swing to run 2.12

Nice and smooooooth
1210 pr 2 mile today
He was 4th in world championships 👍🏻🤯

Big up to the athletes ❤

Hoppel translated into German is Bunny! Great runner with a great last name!!!
Joe Hoppel no it means jumping like a rabbit
If only he used his arms when he ran lol. Like a T-Rex
He's not going that fast in this workout, so he doesn't need to use them.

Nub Cast Um no.

@@gabesuarez8184 woah dawg 6 mph is 10 min miles. He is going somewhere like 12-16 mph or faster. I wouldnt know exactly.
Rock Chalk Jayhawk
onto the final!
flotrack really cant afford a gimbal?
This dude ran my PR so easily..wow
He ran it multiple times
What were his rest times in between?
The time he ran, the time he rested
😱 He jogged a 2:12.. WTF, crazy.
It should be a jog for him
Can somebody tell me what is the sountrack of this video? I like this music.
Best collegiate 100m kick.
Good video and content Flotrack! Is it possible to please decrease the shakiness of the cameras? Got a headache watching this
Drew Janzen and cut out all the darn music.
Ok..I dont know the weather.
I know what 1:48 800m is.
I read he is top runner but I cant see the point of this pedestrian workout for his level.

Flotrack pls buy gimble
Yes, an inclusion of his rest period would be beneficial to viewers. .
Apparently its whatever he runs he rests
Watching this as a sprinter hurts😫
He really out here swinging his arms like a soccer player
Robert Dabney try running a 1:45 800m
@FromRussiaWithLove i ain't saying he got bad form😂 im saying his work out is hard as fuck.
Ps:no need to be offended
What are the rest intervals between the various repeats? Thanks in advance and good luck for the future.
whatever he runs, he gets to rest for that time
Just saw him in a race. Much better arm action in a race however he barely lost a 2nd place and w more arm action it might have kicked in a 2nd place
The arm swing needs work, not really driving with them, they’re just swinging around with very short travel to the rear...
Good stuff today we did 5x200m !!!
what was the rest between reps?
Jordan Oue very good question. Probably 3-4 min rest
Likely private. These guys don’t want to give it all away.
It 1:1, what ever time he runs, he rests.
Rest?
"hE JoGgEd mY pR"
Dudes, its not funny anymore
This video is old...
Whitechvpel Gaming ok
Where da teammates?
terrible camera work hahah
bro what is he looking at
He doesnt even exist in this world anymore. He's looking into the future.
Что у него с работой рук?
no arm movement.
not impressed at all, Seb Coe would run 6 @ 1:52. Looked like he was working much too hard for that pace.
Bruh that running form 🤢 but still an exceptional runner!!!!
Yeah that running form won him a ncaa title.
First comment
Such a terrible running technique
I mean.. Slooooow times
luis pastor it’s vo2 work....not supposed to be crazy fast
As was said in the video, this is volume work to rest his legs after a long season.
I bet Matt Boling could beat him!
Kenny Wojtowicz not in an 800
