TRAVIS AND SUZI, This is the 2nd of two picks from my daughter (Alexandria). The Killers Runaways transition + "Read my Mind". Father picked the video for the transition from Runaways to Read my mind. Looking up the meaning of this song to fans, meanings range from Boy meets girl, up to a having a religious experience. As any wonderfully written song it can mean many things to many different people. That is the magic of connecting to a song. This song was chosen by my daughter for “our” meaning, “Growing up in world of endless possibilities/Adversities and having a family member that really have your back and listen to what is really on your mind” Lyrics: Fourth verse/bridge “She said, "I don't mind, if you don't mind (I don't mind, if you don't mind) 'Cause I don't shine if you don't shine" (I don't shine if you don't shine) Put your back on me, put your back on me (I don't mind, if you don't mind) Oh, put your back on me” NERD STUFF Released on 13th February 2007, the track was the third take to come from the band's second studio album, Sam's Town. It's been a regular feature on the Las Vegas band's setlist ever since. it's one of front man Brandon Flowers' favorite Killers songs and - in his words - one of the best songs (he's) ever written?. Despite not being their most popular hit and only charting at No.15 on the UK singles chart, Flowers believes the "room changes" whenever the song plays. Speaking in a Facebook Live Q&A back in 2017, the Las Vegas rocker explained: "My favorite song, I’ve not been shy about, is Read My Mind. It doesn’t matter if we’re in a bar or an arena or a stadium or a festival or to 50 people, when Read My Mind starts, the room changes."
