    The power failure in the Induction Furnace is because of FTB Utils chunkloading. It's very buggy. The FTOG server had to turn on the XU2 chunkloaders.

    16:00 Why not just put a staircase block or trapdoor in front of the controller? Either one would allow easy access to the front without disturbing the floor too badly. On a related note, I've found a bunch of trapdoors made a fairly decent "window" and "skylight" material ever since they don;t need to be "glued" to another block anymore.

    Molecular transformer is more EU efficient to make iridium than replicating it via UUM (~20m eu vs 9m, not counting scrap cost)

    • @RyanP1991
      @RyanP1991 7 років тому +1

      Yes but UUM is a lot more useful for other recipes

    • @douso466
      @douso466 7 років тому

      like for making plutonium which needs 200 mb UU-Matter per piece where 3 pieces can be used to make one RTG-Fuel which can be used to make Advanced Generator Turbines to generate more easily EU or RF or make the fuel rods from Extreme Reactors to convert yellorium to cyanite which makes blutonium which makes Ludocrite required for later recipes...
      Alternatively he can get the putonium with his one reactor and get 1 1/3 piece of plutonium each cycle which he said himself, lasts a really long time
      I just wanted to say he needs more than one IC2-Reactor to make UU-Matter :D

    • @chris909090
      @chris909090 7 років тому

      Ryan Paton Nobody saying he shouldn't get UU matter going for other things, but his stated purpose for it was to make iridium, which is indeed more effectively made using the molecular transformer. UU can be saved for many of the more annoying / expensive components in this pack (basic capacitors, etc.)

    • @douso466
      @douso466 7 років тому

      naah I automated everything avaiable on my current tech level, so making basic capacitors isn't even that bad although I must admit they are still pretty expensive. I have always a stack ready and 8 stacks of every empowered recipe (except the pure certus/fluix crystals) avaiable and a dedicated empowerer for each type so making all the IC2, RFTools or Ender IO machine frames are pretty easy. I'd rather save the 4.723 mB UU-Matter per capacitor for the plutonium. If I would use UU-Matter for creating such items I would have to fear to run out of EU again (I have 14,000 EU/t generation) Tech Reborn is a monster when it comes to EU.
      But I agree to your basic thought however he would still need to build the molecular transformer. I don't quite remember how much iridium he has

    Dire, you need more reactors. When you reach the point of having a steady supply of uranium (aka void ore miner) you should make more reactors. I know exactely how you love to automate the liquid cooled reactor
    BUT 600 EU is actually not really sufficient if you want to keep suppliying your future TechReborn stuff. I really recommend you to look into Advanced Generators. Yes, please automate your reactor, but you really don't want to do that 3 more times and still don't have enough EU. I have 4 liquid cooled reactors which hot coolant I feed into two Heat Exchangers from Advanced Generators which feed their Steam into a Steam Turbine from Advanced Generators producing 3,875 EU/t. Having 5 more normal reactors outputting 420 EU/t each and two Gas Turbines from Advanced Generators powered by Rocket Fuel from Ender IO producing 8,625 EU/t.
    In total my entire base runs on 14,600 EU/t (a bunch goes into UU-Matter) and I still don't have every machine needed.
    To be honest I have (exactly) 100 Turbines so 100 RTG-Fuel so 300 Plutonium just for the setup. The worst part: Making Plutonium via UU-Matters needs 213.1 mb of UU-Matter per piece.
    I recommend for the big need the Gas Turbine as it needs only Rocket Fuel at a rather slow rate or you go fully effiecient and don't use Advanced Generators (because of the Plutonium it needs (simply put 125 EU/t per Turbine)).
    The next big (maybe greatest?) EU-maker is the Fusion reactor from TechReborn but even I am not yet at the point making it.
    At last consider the Actually Additions Lasers! They are fairily easy to make and item and fluid lasers have limitless transfer! surrounding an Item laser with 6 Tier 5 Cobblestone Generators hooking up multiple of those to a network with item interfaces pumping the cobble with a item translocator upgraded with gowstone into recyclers is the fastest way to transfer cobble known to me to have maybe even more than 13 overclocker upgrades in recyclers.
    800 mb/t the Ender Fluid Pipes do sound great at first. But that is nothing for the Advanced Generators Heat Exchanger. One Setup needs 2 Buckets /t Water and generate 200 Buckets/t Steam. Fluid Lasers ftw!

    • @vt-1493
      @vt-1493 7 років тому

      I've never had pure quartz despawn on me. It's designed to be left growing for hours and forgotten about. If Pure Quartz does despawn after is has been grown from a seed (and is reproducible on the latest version), then report the bug to AE2.
      If you picked it up and later dropped it to test the despawn timer, then note that despawn timers are created/edited when the in-world entity is created and that test is invalid.

    28:58 It looks like your Grid Power is in the millions, meaning that probably some common block is providing a bit of GP each, but it adds up over the loaded and generated chunks, or as you progress, more GP as being added to your system over time.

    • @TheGavote
      @TheGavote 7 років тому

      It's a known glitch where the grid power for all single player world saves compounds and interacts. I believe it is fixed in a newer version of Extra Utilities 2, but updating it would likely break the recipes.

    I'm looking to completely automate my Reactor. I'm getting Uranium Ore from a Void Ore Miner, so I'm good there. I'm thinking of using the Tier 3 Crafter from RFTools, but I don't know how to properly divide up the Iron Plates. My reactor build uses Double Uranium Cells (or MOX Cells), so I need to turn 2/3 of the Iron plates into the Fuel Rods, and use the remaining Plates to combine the Uranium Cells into Doubles.
    I will probably wind up processing the Iron manually, but I was wondering if there was a way to have the system self-contained other than Uranium Ore, since you get your Iron back when you Thermal Centrifuge the Depleted Cells.

    • @RyanP1991

      mox just makes less power over time all it does it make plutonium slightly faster.

    • @Aroma1997
      @Aroma1997 7 років тому +1

      No, with mox fuel, you can achieve a way higher energy output and efficiency.
      Yes, you can get more plutonium from mox than from uranium, but only because plutonium fuel cells only last a third(?) as long a uranium ones.

    • @conandunn8414

    • @urfuckingwithmeyeah
      @urfuckingwithmeyeah 7 років тому +2

      Each of the individual components works with the ones they sit next to. Using that exact pattern makes the reactor generate no heat, making it perfectly stable and safe.
      If you place the items in the wrong spots, it will either generate too much heat, or cause wear on the components eventually making them break at which point the reactor explodes.
      There are many reactor designs, and a lot of different ones that are stable, but this one is his preferred, no doubt so he can convert it to liquid later on.

      Kukac Mr. Well you do have to think a little bit. This video was only released today and your comment was quite early so this video specifically didn't have many views yet. Also compare the views on the first couple episodes of the series going on to these newer more current ones. People click and watch first episodes then lose interest and stop watching leading to a drop in view count.
