@direwolf20 - to get more plutonium from IC2 you're supposed to use the first plutonium you get to make MOX fuel rods that have a far bigger plutonium return.
MOX fuel rods produce exactly the same amount of plutonium. If you centrifuge a depleted quad MOX you get the plutonium you put into making the MOX fuel plus 4 little pieces.

So "Advanced Generators" is more like "Modular Generators" with many customizable interchangeable parts. I can see a lot of tinkering leading into some interesting optimization set-ups! #tinkeredpower

Has Dire completely forgotten that you can click on conduit connections rather than using that selection GUI? The method he uses is handy and times but I find myself rarely using it because it adds extra steps.
Direwolf, I know these are pre recorded, but you should check out a guy named Systemcollapse. His advanced generator set up on AoE is a pretty good EU producer and took little fuel.
I always wondered why Dire doesn't use isolated power systems. It would prevent situations where the power required to run the power generation system is on empty when the base is also on empty. While this wouldn't have solved the problem in this video it wouldn't have added a second problem of needing an outside power source to get generation back up and running again.
KrackenxJaffa Yes, but I was thinking for the tiredness or other recipes that require them. A much cheaper, quicker fix than manullyn/vibrant which I should have mentioned in my first comment.
those advanced generators recipes are what i wish this mod was made of, high cost of entry into necessary components but damn decent recipes for the correct tier of your age. not like all that crap 50 step crafting that was before it. (sturdy -> machine ->rftools casing, or god forbid 90% of IC2)

IC2 biogas (which is around 91.2K EU/sapling, production cost included) is still more efficient than dire's current setup for ethanol (production cost excluded, meaning that biogas is WAY better if you were to include production cost). If he had max sappiness sapling, however, it would be better to use ethanol (although I'm not sure if it is still worth it after production cost, since getting the numbers for ethanol production is harder than biogas production). However, those maths completely disregard the carrots, which if used to make biogas by themselves instead of fruit juice would possibly already make more energy than his whole current setup(considering it's 3.3 carrots for 1 bucket of ethanol, and around 1 for 1 in biogas, after production cost)
Hey Dire. You should leave one of each type of the repaired circuits next to their unrepaired counterparts so you could at a glance see what each one of them turns into. Then you wouldn't have to spend a minute pondering about it and several more repairing the wrong one.
More sensibly, pipe all circuits into the repairing gizmo (and then the Analysing Chamber because that's free). The game expects you to have _dozens_ of each kind of (non-Stable) circuit by this point, you can't be making them by hand. Yes storing them is a pain because Calculator has a ridiculous bug (it provides a storage device, but the device doesn't accept most circuits through pipes because it's badly written, known bug) but AE2 makes that a non-issue and is around the corner. And you get cool freebies, I got a Nutrition Module (essentially permanent health + hunger regen) this way for example.

I mean personally, with that much power and that much uranium, I'd just make a modern-day "breeder" reactor instead of a third class 1. Try to actually *lower* efficiency as much as safely possible, so that I could burn uranium into plutonium more quickly.

Chris Lubbe guys how do you make ender energy conduits? Because direwolf20 really should use them instead of enhanced ones and should upgrade his solar panel arrays and go to using low voltage to high voltage!
Dire please, the mod that has an armor stand that lets you swap armor sets with a right click (so long as the stand is getting redstone power) is called Vanilla Minecraft!
Sadly Mekanism is gated in the VERY late game (T12) and also Mekanism DOESN'T generate EU or RF....only Mekanism Joule... and i don't know how to convert it in this Mod. Its Reactor and Steamturbine are an awesome Combo...
Why is he not using the ender IO sword to teletravel? That's one of its biggest features and why people still use it near endgame, and its just sitting there on his bar.
be careful of the tanks from advanced generators. they seem to lose their fluid when you exit and restart your game in single player. at least syngas not sure if it does it with ethanol as well.
yes, any block update renders the whole chunk, but only if it is visible. E.g. if you have a chunk loaded chunk somewhere with many updates, it wont lower your fps (e.g. chunk with auto-smelteries are really bad if you are near them, but if you put them far away with e.g. ender chest input/output, they are fine)
Hi Dire, please consider doing mekanism power storage and gen. Energy cubes can transfer RF to EU directly to machines/mfe/mfsu. The mek fusion reactor also provides me with 500k rf/t at its base 'tier'. Super fun to automate and a great intro to how mekanism works (feels like factorio!).
Dire has very sensibly chosen a reactor design which is completely inert unless you literally take the coolant components out while it's running. So, maybe, but it'd take something dumb like putting a vanilla hopper directly under the reactor. On the other hand, from somebody who can seriously ask whether they'll get radiation poisoning from handling Plutonium, one of the world's most famous radioactive elements...

Consider scanning the advanced alloy as they are also a really cheap UU matter recipe.

Convert plutonium and uranium 238 to mox fuel, you'll get the plutonium back each time plus more tiny plutonium.

Pretty sure you're wrong there, I have tried this because I was used to Bibliocraft armour stands that have this feature, and it did not work.
This is no normal generation. This is advanced generation.
You're going to need pure FLUIX crystals for AE2. Both the controller and energy acceptor require pure fluix crystals.
