I can understand some criticism of Luke, but I don't know how Anakin is a Mary Sue, I'll just remind you that this is a man who broke ties with those who love him with his actions, he broke his wife's heart and contributed to her death and his brother became for a long time his sworn enemy, and became a crippled slave and faithful dog of literally the Devil

"The Force is a tool, Jaden. Sometimes a weapon, sometimes a salve. Dark Side, Light Side, these are distinctions of insignificant difference. Do not fall into the trap of classification. Sentience curses us with a desire to categorize and draw lines, to fear that after this be dragons. But that is illusion. After this is not dragons but more knowledge, deeper understanding. Be at peace with that." - Kyle Katarn.

I always took that as a line that reflected how one could play the game. Also I’m going to give Jedi Academy more lax because it was in development probably around the start of Attack of the Clones.
That’s the thing, stories released before or during the Prequels are a bit iffy.

@@iplaydodgeballexactly. Anakin used the force during podraces, and Luke somehow learned to use telekinesis without Ben ever even mentioning it to him, much less training him in that aspect of the force. Force users always needing training precludes the very first force users being able to discover the force and force powers. It’s painfully obvious that individuals can use force powers unconsciously and without training to at least some degree, perhaps through the Force itself communicating with them on some level. The introduction of Midichloreans gives a mechanism for this communication.
That being said, Ray’s abilities are bordering on unbelievable but are not among the main reasons why the ST sucks.

In the Expanded Universe there are characters who are very powerful even without having been trained for years, like Nomi Sunrider for example. But the difference between Nomi and Rey is this: Nomi hasn’t had much contact with Jedi masters and she hasn't been trained for years, but she learned to use many of her powers on her own, so she’s still had some kind of extended training. It’s self-taught training, but it’s still training, because to learn how to do something yourself you have to try until you manage to do it. So, all those who want to use the Expanded Universe to justify Rey's powers are wrong.

Some force sensitives may be strong due to the powerful connection to the force and only use one force ability they can master easily. Like when Anakin was 9. Qui-Gon mentioned he has the ability to see things before they happen. And Luke mastered the ability to communicate with force ghosts. The Sunriders have a powerful force ability called Battle Meditation which makes Nomi very useful for it. Nomi had months of training with Master Thon and in later years trained with Vodo Baas, Arca Jeth, and Odan-Urr.

13:09 actually, no, Force Heal is a Light Side power, even in Star Wars Legends. Dark Side versions of it are called Force Drain. Granted, great fucking video so far. Especially since Force Heal in Legends has the user go through a lot of training, Meditation.
Initial levels of Force Heal required meditation, but greater aptitude usually granted faster regeneration, without need of meditation. Greater levels of attainment were also able to mend far more severe injuries, even major damage to flesh and bone and even going as far as to mend internal damage, such as damage to the heart, lungs, and so forth; even to the point of sustaining functions of lost organs and on rare occasions resurrecting dead tissue or even people, though that was possible if the Brain was still active. (Real world science, you aren't considered dead until your brain stops being active.*
A variation of this power was Force Purification, as well as Force Assist which was a Force technique that enabled the user to heal people other than themselves, and with enough concentration, the user was able to heal others' bodies and minds, simultaneously.

George being so naive as to never consider that Disney would do whatever it wanted to Star Wars is certainly a falsehood. He knew full well that selling Lucasfilm meant another company would control each property, including Star Wars, and that those franchises would not be static.
The original works still exist, and fans can pick and choose whatever they enjoy. But the legal authority to define canon is with the owners of the IP: Disney.
I’ve felt that canon arguments have always been useless BS, even during the 90s and 2000s when Lucas implemented his multi tier canon list. All that meant to me is that future works simultaneously were freed but also restricted by previous works. Continuity is fine, but don’t let it get in the way of a hood story. In a way, I prefer the ‘canon’ vs ‘legends’ approach, since aspects of previous works can be referenced without needing to treat the entirety of each existing work as necessary. It also puts my beloved Han Solo trilogy (the real one by Brian Daly) in the same status as the Thrawn trilogy and silly stuff like the Droids cartoon and the Holiday special. It’s fine.

Such understanding of the Will of the Force poses DEFINITIVE questions (by the way, what are your sources on this topic?).
First. What's the point of dividing it on Light and Dark Sides, if the Force it's natural will is Light Side? Doesn't it make a term Light (and Dark respectively) trivial and thus, useless? In that case, the dychotomy stands between the Force-Compliants and the Force-Benders. It's because otherwise, if the Force wants something, it means it wants as a WHOLE, thus meaning, Dark Force doesn't want to rule.
Second. Is the Force never on the bad guys' side willingly or not? One has to answer this question in order to get, how good this concept really is.

The Last Jedi ohhh boy so to start off Luke refuses to teach Rey if Rey was a marysue luke would have done it straight away, her fight with luke makes scense because luke cut himself off from the force, and in the climax REY'S LITERALLY IMMEDIATELY CAPTURED By The First Order Would An Actual Marysue such as anakin im Revenge of the sith I DONT MEAN ANAKIN'S A MARYSUE Just him almost immediately escaping the separtist was kinda a marysuish moment and on crait if rey was a marysue the resistance wouldn't have lost.
Riase Of Skywalker She got trsining by Leia so she would know more about the force and would have more lightsaber combat, Her Killing The Emperor ANAKIN WHO IS NOT THE CHOSEN ONE MANAGED TO, So Why Not Rey.
And the whole Beliving in the force thing J.J Abrams can do whatever he wants it's his film like how lucas put changes in the OT for example Jar Jar in return of the jedi

Oh boy where do I begin? First of all, she wasn't struggling to get food. Second, just scavenging for parts of a star destroyer will not help you at all with flying it, let alone the Falcon which is completely different. The era doesn't matter, the Falcon is a one-man ship while a star destroyer requires an entire crew. Third, Rey is NEVER said to be the Chosen One and we are never told her midichlorian count. And even if she did she would still need A LOT of training to be able to do any of the things she did even if she had every midichlorian in the galaxy. Also, Luke rejected her at first but it took little to no effort to convince him to do it. When does Anakin immediately escape the separatists? The resistance didn't lose, they won because Rey is Mary Sue and kills Palpatine with no help. And Leia may have training her but that was way after she did things she shouldn't have. And training for a few months doesn't cut it, it takes YEARS to become a Jedi. And Anakin is 100% the Chosen one NOT Rey. And it may be JJ's movie but it is not his franchise and it's not Disney's either. Owning the legal rights does NOT make it yours. George Lucas creating the story and the franchise so it is his. That doesn't mean no one can make star wars content, they just have to be consistent with what George created. Also, WTF ARE YOU ON?! Jar Jar was never in RotJ. To sum it up, everything you just said is wrong.

3 True We Dont Know Her Midiclorian Count, But The Chosen One Is Whoever Destroys The Sith Rey Did That By Killing Palpatine, and the midiclorian count would probably be around anakin if she is the chosen one
4 Yes Rey Needs Training That's The Point Of The Last Jedi For Luke To Train Her
5 yea luke did give in after a moment but for context luke thought about it for a good few hours and it's so he could say his way of thinking

@@2ndofficercharleslightolle878 1. Even if she was struggling, it wouldn't be very much since she's clearly perfectly healthy and not dead. And that supposed slight struggle is short lived, as she leaves the planet the same day she's introduced
      2. When are we told that star destroyers and the falcon are similar? They are completely different. And the falcon IS a one man ship since Rey was able to fly it by herself. And once again, knowing what parts of a ship are worth, does not equate to knowing how to fly one
      3. Anakin is said to be the chosen one AND he was the one who destroyed the sith. Yes, the sith come back, but the prophecy never said that they would be gone for good. And Anakin needed training to get to as powerful as he did.
      4. How did Rey use mind tricks and defeat a highly trained Kylo Ren BEFORE getting trained by Luke?
      5. A few hours of convincing isn't a lot in the grand scheme of things
      6. They didn't escape immediately, they were taken to Grievous and had to fight they're way out. Also, Anakin had the help of Obi Wan and R2.
      7. They only lost in TLJ because Mary Sue wasn't there to save them until the end
      8. If force ghosts can do all the crazy shit they did, why didn't they do it to help Luke in ROTJ? Also, Luke had more training than Rey and was still struggling against Vader. And Vader was holding back because he wanted to turn Luke to the dark side not kill him. Also Luke only defeats Vader cause he taps into the dark side and uses his anger. He also needed Vader to save him from Sidious.
      9. Anakin defeated the sith, but of course they didn't stay gone, that doesn't mean that he's not the chosen one.
      10. Disney owns the rights to the franchise. That doesn't mean they can change everything that George Lucas created. They bought the franchise from him and then immediately stabbed him in the back and milked it to death. They need to follow the rules of the universe that were established long before they got their shitty hands on it.
      11. I have rewatched ROTJ and Jar Jar is most definitely not in it at all. And even if he was that doesn't break continuity or contradict anything. Unlike having Rey do a bunch of shit she shouldn't have been able to do, or changing the rules of the force or hyperspace.
Take another month to think of new arguments for me to completely debunk.

Rey isn’t a Mary Sue lol. She fails, has flaws - complex and well developed flaws BTW, and struggles immensely.
Also, it’s clear from this awful 27 minute video that you haven’t got a clue how the force works. The force is a soft magic system, not anything close to what you pretend it is. Take your L.

She beat Kylo Ren in their first battle. When it came to Luke fighting Vader at Bespin, HE LOST. "It's magic" is really code for "Don't Think, Just Consume." Now I'm someone who accepts the Disney canon's explanation, but most normies never read those books, so do they count? Lucasfilm prioritizes the casual fans over all other customers, so I don't count it.

@@saberiandream316 She beat Kylo in their first battle, yes. That doesn’t mean anything. Kylo was injured and lost pints of blood. Finn, someone who lost to a stormtrooper in a melee fight, was able to fight better against Kylo. This means Kylo was easier to fight than a First Order stormtrooper in that duel.
Luke “lost” in TESB sure. Rey lost in TROS and TLJ.
My guy, anyone who unironically says “dOnT tHiNk jUst cOnsuMe” cannot be taken seriously. The Force is magic. Lucas himself has said this. There are no hard magic rules to the Force like there are in other things.

I always assumed that Force Heal was an actual power, and not just a video game mechanic, but usually works for minor wounds such as non lethal gunshot, blaster, or stab wounds, and some major wounds, like quickly healing a broken bones or beatings outside of combat, like if you survive an engagement and use that power afterwards, or Palpatine partially healing Vader when finding him at Mustafar after the Battle of the Heroes, but that only amounted to keeping him alive long enough to put him in his armor with the life support systems. Or Darth Plagueis using medichlorian manipulation to bring back Darth Venamis from death and killing him several times over before finally letting him die. Vader also in the Expanded universe was able to use Dark Rage in order to temporarily heal his lungs a few times when his Life support systems were damaged in combat, but as soon as he finished killing all enemies around him and the adrenaline in his bloodstream starts thinning out, and he begins feeling happy to breathe without help from his cybernetics, his lungs weaken once again, and then he chokes again without his armor to keep him alive, requiring him to get back to his meditation chambers, like his room on board the Executor. Lightsaber stabs in one's vitals are too much for Force Heal to overcome, which is why Qui Gon still dying from his wound makes sense to me, and why Kylo and Rey instantly healing each other from lethal wounds is stupid as fuck.
