The "HELP" sign, the rooftop generator+satellite dish+computer setup for communication to what remains of the world outside, the collection of furniture and luxury items from across multiple buildings and business that show your successes, and (if the game didn't regularly delete them all) massive piles of the decaying undead on the ground below every window around your base. I love how project zomboid gives off the most realistic vibes in a zombie apocalypse, where even though you think your the last person on earth, throughout the days you see the military still powering through and taking their mark. Showing their slow regain of the infected towns and cities, like the virus hasn’t gone viral yet

The way you edited all those intense fight scenes and the building parts was amazingly well done. And I was literally on the edge of my seat (or my sofa in this case) when you nearly died from the infection. Bravo!
I cant believe I sat through this whole video in one sitting. That was absolutely insane. I liked the whole vaccine angle, and the sheer overwhelming monotony of terror as you fight literally all day in a single spot trying to clear out the endless hordes of undead just so you can TRY to check a single building for anything useful. During the start where there were constant horde nights it honestly felt like you hit this brick wall since every day you had to spend 90% of it clearing up the horde from last night just in time for the next horde to appear. It was awesome watching you ever so slowly claw your way to self sufficiency as your weight gradually improved and you struck it lucky on a few stockpiles of canned goods, then later the seeds and garden. Sprinkled with a few days of fear as your food supply dwindled and you started to weaken from hunger as you tried yet again to clear a couple hundred zombies to get just enough breathing room to loot an apartment hoping for something to eat. Then the final week as you burned down like 7000 zombies in a near endless tidal wave of fire. The raiders at the end were an interesting touch, guess going via the rooftops made sure you didnt have issues there too. This was an incredible series and well worth the watch.

I love how over time in this game you get more and more bloody, you find better weapons and equipment, and you eventually stop looking like the civilian you used to be.
I feel like Project Zomboid really lends itself well to these kinds of challenges, especially with mods. I wonder if trying something like this and restricting yourself to one of the big stretches of forest (and maybe the towns on the edge of it) might be interesting? Maybe make it so that the hordes from Horde Night are regular and increasingly strong, but with enough time between them to repair your defenses and add new ones. It could be fun to take over one of the campsites and slowly clear the forest around it, turning the trees into walls. And maybe add some zombie trap mods, though the only one I really know of is the Spear Traps mod.
This is by far my most favorite zomboid video I've ever watched, the editing is phenomenal, the storytelling is good, the pacing is amazing. Amazing job, you kept me entertained the entire video length.

I love the beginning struggle of this game. Sleeping on chairs and hiding in houses when you can. But this must be such a fun way to tackle zomboid cause you have to fight floor by floor.
I really like the rooftop survival alot and want to try my own and was wondering How did you get it so you spawn at the apartments? Or was it just a specific job in one of the mods?

Funny story, I was listening to this while playing PZ, and one of my friends died so I buried him, and the while I was paying my respects the RDR2 building song came on, so while I was mourning the death of my friend i just heard the background ‘WELL WE WORKED SO HARD TO BUILD A LITTLE HOUSE TOGETHER’-
When you call it a movie, and it feels like a movie, and it looks like a movie, it's a well made movie, I enjoy this
Crazy sky bridge physics aside, this is better than most zombie movies out there.
This video brought me to another level of emotions just to experience them with you. I watched this whole video in one sitting (12 - 2 AM) and not once, AND I MEAN IT, did I get board. It was just so awesome to watch you make this video. You truly deserve the attention for this masterpiece. It was truly amazing to me.
It's long past my bedtime, but I can't stop watching!
This is such an incredible and well crafted video. You can see just how much of a colossal effort this was. Keep up the great work! This video is probably my favorite piece of zomboid content I’ve seen!
What an incredible movie! While completing that sort of challenge is no small feat itself and deserves congratulation, I really think the editing on a project like this deserves a ton of recognition as well! The immense amount of time and effort spent editing something of this magnitude is often, and understandably so, overlooked so I just wanted to take a moment to say thankyou for all your hard work and long hours!
While it's not the sort of challenge I'd ever think I'd undertake in PZ myself, It's been an amazing and utterly bonkers ride from start to finish and I've thoroughly enjoyed it! Cheers!
i love the ¨no you dont, you will watch this video¨ it gave me joy
To be honest man, you've inspired me to edit videos again. I'm planning on this ambitious project on making a Project Zomboid series based on an RP server. It's gonna be hard, but hey... gotta have some faith.
how's the progress so far?
@@onjulraz754 getting there
@@onjulraz754 also made the teaser trailer
@@ZOPPOLETTO How's it hangin' now?
@@_s0mm_ I'm depressed, constantly tired, everyday I have the desire to just end it all.
I might be two months late, but this is possibly the most fun I've had watching Project Zomboid. Thank you for the hour of playing and hours of editing.
the sudden switch from musical murder to fast forwarded was gave me whiplash and was genuinely very hilarious 1:44:39
I've watched all of the ambigiousamphibian commentated zomboid videos that there is to see, so I am very happy to have found a similar channel with the same (if not better, at many moments) production quality. As a zomboid player and content creator myself I can see that this must've taken hundreds of hours of work to achieve. Keep it going dude sending love from sweden❤
Late response but I'd recommend Privetlime. He does cool zomboid challenge series like this. My favorite is the "can I kill every zombie on the map" challenge
AA needs to do these types of challenges and runs
He would do great and the commentary would be hilarious given how deadpan he is, it would all be falling apart and AA would still be cool and dry as hell hahahahaha, I love him
This felt like a legit zombie movie, since every second you don’t know what could happen. And I love it ❤
Oh I'm serious it got me completely out of the blue and all of the sudden I'm glued to my chair thinking about 10 MINUTES IN GAME. What a MOVIE! 👏🏽👏🏽
Never played or heard of this game before, yet sat watching this for 2 hours. This is insanely fun to watch
I'm 1hour and half into it and it's really immersive. Glad I discovered another talented Project Zomboid creator. The creativity of that edit is honestly a big part of the quality of this. I also have to say I never felt I did not know what you were trying to achieve overall (other than survive), which is good
Who is the other one?
@@chrisgorgon3629 My recommandations: Pr1vateLime , ThatGuyPredz
and go watch the series "The Complete Existential Adventures of Gerald Williams" by ambiguousamphibian
"We are going to have to climb through the broken window"
"Why am I bleeding, where did this glass come from?"
as someone who has played this game and have slowly gotten better over , your calmness is relieving ! the MGS alert sound when you found the lab literature was hilarious ! finding exactly what you need when you need it set this game apart from so many other zombie survival games the dopamine hit is just A1 !!
This video has been the best one I've seen on UA-cam on as long as I can remember... I know it's rediculous to expect more like this especially at the length it is so I just want to thank you for making my day and I look forward to watching more of your content... THANKS AGAIN!
I want to make more videos like this but yeah, it rarely pans out as well. I tried to do 100 days trapped in the mall but by day 45 it was just getting boring
The best 100 days survival in Zomboid I have ever seen. Felt like a movie and made me play Zomboid again after a long time without touching it. Amazing video !!
Great and entertaining while I paint/ do artwork. Your editing style is REALLY SOLID! Keep it up Ricks!
dude, the editing in this is amazing. i'm on the edge of my seat following the chronology like a damn tv show 🤣you've officially sold me on project zomboid. guess i gotta try it
I love how over time in this game you get more and more bloody, you find better weapons and equipment, and you eventually stop looking like the civilian you used to be.
While it's in first person rather than isometric view, 7 Days to Die fulfills a lot of these criteria.
@@Myomer104 Also a great game!
exceptional compilation. your work on adding all of those chapters is greatly appreciated
Came to this from the i am legend video. I am so glad it’s not some weird roleplay. Good video
This is by far my most favorite zomboid video I've ever watched, the editing is phenomenal, the storytelling is good, the pacing is amazing. Amazing job, you kept me entertained the entire video length.
loved this series, i cant even survive normal mode
No one "survives" though.
This video single handedly got me into Project Zomboid, I now have over 600 hours..
Top tier series, can't wait for next! Loved the runescape music too, made me all nostalgic
Can we apreciate the strenght of that window supporting all these bridges
I appreciate you being honest throughout the whole process ive recently gotten better at oroject zomboid. (2 years of practice lol) And finally realized how kongit tskes to fo anything especially take a building or clear spart of town. Or even just collecting. Thanks for taking the time and the focus to make an awesome vid for us
being on rooftops where you secured the second floor by taking out the stairs is good since zombies can't climb, until you realize you have to get stuff up thier as well
Bro holy sh*t, I can’t even imagine the amount of work and effort you’ve put into this. It’s so fun to watch you play this game, really, congratulations for the video it is SO good.
by far one of the most tense & stressful pz videos i've seen (in a good way), especially at the beginning with inexplicable darkness and countless zombies in your own home base
Man ! You kept me on my toes from star to finish , jesus I felt like Im watching a zombie movie my god , never felt like this since 28 days later 😂😂😂 top tier bloke !
Man what a challenge. This is my first time even hearing about this game, and while watching your video I kept imagining doing all this in irl or even in a zombie fueled world like TWD. Loved every minute of it, thanks so much for all the work you put into this!
I usualy dislike the "waves of hordes" for their realism, but this playthrough only saw betwean 10-20k die, with is the size of a rather small county. Imagine the 10 mil of a big city! Wow! This was such a nice watch!
This is truly amazing, I was hooked from start to finish. So happy I've come across your channel
If you enjoy making these videos, please make more. Great editing, great voice, very easy to watch. Seriously mate, great stuff.
I almost cried and almost lost consciousness during the time when you were infected, thank god you've lived
Your survival without failsafe redundancies is astounding. I would be setting up two or 3 dropdowns in case one is blocked before heading down.
This is so me.... i dont get to play often so I still default to Rosewood Fire Station and every single window has a rope lol
Nice series 👍🏻 consider Raven Creek rooftops? Also just an FYI, wall clocks give decent electrical XP and having some battery powered wall lamps is nice after the power goes out.
You did well in those tricky situations to try and keep your cool, panic will absolutely kill you more often than not. "Calm people live, tense people die."
These music edits of zombie killing were amazing, congratulations! Can't imagine how hard it was to make.
Not hard when all he's doing is zooming in and out.
@@mikebeno363 Cutting literally dozens of hours and manually clipping individual hits, clanks, builds, salvages etc. to the beat of music. Doing it all by hand. Sure it's not hard but he sure as shit isn't just zooming in and out.
What a fcking legend. Perfect editing, storytelling, timings and jokes .
There are countless ways to play this game that revolve around handicapping yourself. That's one of the things I love most about it.
Great stuff. The entire journey was very captivating and the fact that you stuck to tge rooftops for so long is just amazing. A very unique story.
That 9mm piece and ammo in the kids room made my day LMAO
the killing squelches beat matched with the music was sick
Such a good series 😆✨✨✨
Omg it's THE sebbadiah 🤯🤯🤯
That was ridiculously epic. Your determination is inspiring. :')
Absolutely great atory telling and editing! I had nerves watching through and so sad at the end where you said it was like you had made no difference.... wow. Great job man!
Good job rickie, you did a perfect job 👍
Maaaan, I love your videos so much. I kind of binge them and love your little songs (especially the nomad ones were charming), and I keep the longer vids on in the background as I putter around the apartment. You give me so many strategy ideas, make the game a lil less spooky for me, a tiny baby coward, and just plain old have fun enjoying your content. Please keep up the good work on everything you do! Particularly enjoying the latest series, too!
Amazing editing, the D&B drum hits matched with the zombie strikes/kills, the narrative you're considering. Musical accompaniment to tense moments. Masterclass in the Video-Essay format.
I had no interest in playing this game before I found this video but it has given me the false confidence that I too can do all this. Great footage, great content. Can't wait to see what else you put out in the future.
happened to me a few months ago, all can say is: 1) play with mods 2) you will die
silencio, ya empezo mi novela favorita...
I love the beginning struggle of this game. Sleeping on chairs and hiding in houses when you can. But this must be such a fun way to tackle zomboid cause you have to fight floor by floor.
Incredible dedication to the theme with insanely difficult settings. How many IRL days did this take?
I really like the rooftop survival alot and want to try my own and was wondering
How did you get it so you spawn at the apartments? Or was it just a specific job in one of the mods?
Used cheats to teleport up there and knock out the stairs
@@Ricksdetrix how did you teleport there tho be a little more specific please
@Non non non ! When you enable cheats you can click on the map to teleport wherever you click
I enjoy that I come and rewatch this video now and then. Even when I know what’s going to happen, I’m still captivated every time. Amazing editing and storytelling!
