The second the old, worn down, crumbling ruin starting going off with a modern alarm system I couldn’t help but start laughing. That’s just so stupid it’s funny
the funny thing is it almost has room in reality, too old property owners for instance sometimes have these huge abandoned buildings there, but hiring a demolition team to get rid of things like that is expensive, or sometimes they actually just want them preserved so they'll set up things like wireless cameras and alarms to stop things like graffiti or other kinds of vandalism.. issue with that is they're tiny battery operated things, not a whole ass ALARM SYSTEM lmao
guys, you have no imagination. This was either a museum with alarm to protect the ruins, or underground illicit substance production plant, with alarm obviously.
Having no knowledge of English, I watched this video with subtitles and my love for the project zomboid grew even more. Thank you for the video (Written through Google Translate)
I'm seriously disappointed that the old ruins barely had any kind of loot available; I would've been happy if the crates had some loose stones from the CRUMBLING ruins; some crafting materials, twine and like, duct tape, something to help you with the tireless grind of it all.
100% I was planning on playing this but not anymore. I'm not here for endless empty atmospheric vibes. Zomboid, as a rule, is about looting and this is just boring and empty.
Considering even the temple didnt have anything usefull i feel you would just kill yourself in there from exhaustion, no food and water. For maybe some pen, paper and notebook
cmon, fight the minotaur! he’ll probably drop some sick loot… like a rubber band and a crossword puzzle! for real tho, I’m super curious about what’s inside
This channel NEEDS more attention bro, honestly you're one of the creators whose content I use to learn more about Zomboid, while also having a great time. Your live action sections are hilarious too. Love watching this content, hoping you get put into the spotlight by the algorithm so more people can see your vids.
LOVING everything about the video. your voice and its pacing, the script weiting the editing its all so good. Please keep giving us such high quality content and i hope you one day get the recognition you deserve
meh, it looks like all the skit sections were taped on some kinda old VHS camcorder - if you wanna make it on youtube, you gotta at least get a decent camera that was made in this century! haha I’m jus kidding. this video is great, and it’s currently about to break 500K views - congrats
This is my favorite PZ "challenge" video. I don't really know why, but there's just something about it. Going deeper and deeper into the woods was nailbiting the first of many times I watched it.
It is your favorite because secretly every man dreams of living in the woods and being self sustaining -with or without Z's abandon civilization, return to monke
Always love your longform stuff Alex. Still stand by the 100 days being some of the best stuff iv watched and i want more like it haha. Just that ability to come and go and continue it whenever i had a bit of free time having been so invested in it was a feeling i wish i had more.
The gameplay is amazing and so well edited but the main highlight was the bit of you fishing with your dad. Proper core memory that, your dad seems awesome
I'd be weary of both. I've drank out of the river in my city and I like my eggs near raw, we aren't super fragile. At the same time rain is just water from a body of water somewhere else, it's dirty as hell. If your worrying at all just buy a few life straws
@@daelinblack6681 It’s actually not so much the rain carrying pollutants with it through the air but the fact that whatever you’re gathering your rain in is likely to develop some bacteria or pathogens of some kind, so while you can drink it right out of the sky without worry, you should probably boil it if you gather it in a tub.
Pr1vateLime did a trailer park series, and ran into issues with foraging because of his limitation to only stay in the trailer park. He discovered reloading everyday resets foragables on the map. I can't remember if the reload required fully exiting the game, or just to the menu. But if you're struggling with urban foraging areas it could be helpful.
As someone very very intimidated by PZ, this video was entrancing to watch fully and see how amazing a playthrough can be. Totally gotta say my favourite bit is the syncopation with the music from 50:11 onwards, nicely edited!
this is a really well made video, the way you edit and use music, it genuinely makes me worry whether you will survive a situation or not, a lot of your scenes employ common tactics which in other sources imply a negative turn, only for you to manage to survive. very impressive i love how captivating it is, keeping me on my toes i like it!
stuff like this is why zomboid is in the conversation for best game ever. the incredibly deep mod support makes this game endlessly replayable. it never even crossed my mind to do a wilderness playthrough. now i HAVE TO DO IT. i love that all the zomboid youtubers throw up a list of mods so everyone can have the same game/experience.
I can accept breaking the using structures rule. That ending seemed well-deserved for your character who scrounged through countless barren ruins & undead forest. Simply searching for a modicum of hope & peace
This is really well edited and directed. Your patience is amazing. You truly won. If there will ever be a part 2 for conquering the rest of the map, I'd watch it.
My dude, you make the best Zomboid movies out there. Keep up the great work. I would like to see you explore "The Maze" at some point. I wonder if it is the ruins of an indoor mall? Anyway, if you decide to explore it and make a video of it, will definitely be there for it!
I watched the entire video and i was starting to get nervous as most playthroughs end in tragedy. It was real joy and relief when you found that village at the end
Love it! being able to live in the wild if you have to or just knowing how to take care of things like that when needed is very valuable skills and information!
This is the best Project Zomboid's video I've seen so far, everything about it seems so well done, I watched it with excitement since the beginning untill the end and I enjoyed it all, worth it! Thank you for this content
I like Jess... :( Also: I LOVE your content, really, man, it's awesome how funny you are. Matching combat- or hammeringsounds with the beat, short trailers, editing the fishing video footage to look like from the 80ies... This is peak entertaining. Also also: I love it, that your voice is sooo good understandable for a non native speaker!
I kinda wish the series had ended after or with the exploration of the Maze but... it was a good series, interesting and shows kinda what needs to be added to the game for smoother progress.
12:30 That looked so funny! xD Just chilling, filling your bowl with water and *BAM!* comes a zambro trying to bite yo face off, so you RUN 2 feet just to fall and faceplant.. xD But you did survive with NO bite OR scratch so that's good! lol 😂
Love this content. Was putting off the super cut watch because I’ve been busy and watched a majority of it as its individual videos. Please keep this style. The mix of that retro looking real life clips were so nice and feel thematic. This channel reminds me of the tf2 youtuber Elmaxo with its style and I love it. Here’s to many more! ☕️ see you in the next one
I discovered your channel a couple weeks ago and your one of my favorite channels now, I love the long form zomboid videos. Especially when I suck at zomboid lol
Such an underrated channel! Found you earlier this week and loving the content so far. Keep it up and you'll make it big. Awesome editing to, keep it up :)
I would add 'Trait Purhcase System' to this. As you kill Zombies and level up skills you aquire skill points that you can use to buy traits. It's not overpowered since you have to earn the points and can adjust how quickly you get them.
Well done. Wilderness is normally the least appealing part of Project Zomboid for me, but you did a great job making both the exploration and the upgrade hunt interesting.
@12:32 I am always paranoid of this happening it has never happened to me yet but now seeing it happen to you I know why I was paranoid of standing next to the trees lol I felt the danger of the blocked line of sight from the trees lol
Not sure how you could be hungry; there's all this delicious, crusty zombie flesh smorgasbord just waiting to be served as steak tartare. Man, I nearly hurled just making this joke.
I asked a new Zealander how many lovers he had, and he fell asleep while counting
The second the old, worn down, crumbling ruin starting going off with a modern alarm system I couldn’t help but start laughing. That’s just so stupid it’s funny
what about the fully intact loot crates with modern loot such as lighters and medicine?
I guess they were more advanced than we thought......
the funny thing is it almost has room in reality, too
old property owners for instance sometimes have these huge abandoned buildings there, but hiring a demolition team to get rid of things like that is expensive, or sometimes they actually just want them preserved

guys, you have no imagination. This was either a museum with alarm to protect the ruins, or underground illicit substance production plant, with alarm obviously.
not even trying to be that guy but some places like that really do have modern alarms to stop people from spray painting everything in sight
the editing of this video feels like an absolute labor of love, its just so satisfying at every point
"its just so satisfying"
lol
Having no knowledge of English, I watched this video with subtitles and my love for the project zomboid grew even more. Thank you for the video (Written through Google Translate)
I would reply in your language but you didn’t list. This was a cute comment. Thank you for sharing.

They should have treasures of some kind for sure
100% I was planning on playing this but not anymore. I'm not here for endless empty atmospheric vibes. Zomboid, as a rule, is about looting and this is just boring and empty.
@@bobbyglushko5812 there is a reason, why most people never even touched the forage mechanic
ARE YOU REALLY NOT GOING TO SEE WHAT IS AT THE CENTER OF THE MAZE OMG
Considering even the temple didnt have anything usefull i feel you would just kill yourself in there from exhaustion, no food and water. For maybe some pen, paper and notebook
Too big and too many zombies, it was smart to not bother, it definitely wouldn't have been worth it
Dawg, he ain't gonna fight the Minotaur. That's a death sentence.
cmon, fight the minotaur! he’ll probably drop some sick loot… like a rubber band and a crossword puzzle!

The fishing with your dad cutaway was unexpected, but really pleasing. Enjoyed every moment of it :3
pretty sure the only diffence between this pz playthrough and new zealand is that the zeds are sheep there.
I like the lore that new zealanders are basically rpg characters that have to defeat enough sheep to lvl up and craft gear to escape their island.
@kirid5773 early game runescape fr 😂

Right. Remember we were here first lol be over 100k easy next year

Proper core memory that, your dad seems awesome
Those real life cuts, makes this so much more than a modded zomboid video
This was an experience
Don't forget to loot the trash piles. They have good loot and respawn every day.
Legendary YT Front Page Pull!
I'm totally impressed how compelling the diary-like storytelling reveals in this video... amazing narrative, love it.
I love how you matched the beats of repetitive tasks to the background music, you didn't have to, but you did it anyway!
fun fact: you CANT die if u drink water from the lake. But you CAN die if you drink rain water
Isn't that kinda the opposite in real life tho 😂
I'd be weary of both. I've drank out of the river in my city and I like my eggs near raw, we aren't super fragile. At the same time rain is just water from a body of water somewhere else, it's dirty as hell. If your worrying at all just buy a few life straws

I see you, Ziggs player
The only problem I see is... Winters are going to be tough! No can food and probably, unless lucky, no canning yourself.
Good video by the way.
How is no one talking about the soundtrack?!?! beautiful choices.
Beautiful video
I love that no matter how many thousands of hours you put into this game, the jump scares will still get you lol
Weird home video style retro film pieces, project zomboid, rimworld, and cute to boot? New favorite youtuber found

Oh damn, just turned on my pc and got this on my feed? Today is gonna be good.
Thanks bro I’m getting over a stomach bug and this is just what I need to take my mind off it. Always happy to see a new upload!
its funny cause drinking water from a nearby river will never taint you, but drinking rain water from a barrel will.
Young man you are the Goldilocks of Zomboid movies here. Keep it up
Another great series mate. Keep it up and I can’t wait for the next project.
I can accept breaking the using structures rule. That ending seemed well-deserved for your character who scrounged through countless barren ruins & undead forest. Simply searching for a modicum of hope & peace
I kept crying the first couple days because it took you a while to realize you could use sturdy sticks for the friction fire 😭
I had to do a double take hearing whanau, not everyday i stumble upon a great youtuber that's also from new zealand!
This is my favorite kind of play through in CDDA, very chill
