I've never had a problem using a photo for design purposes! I don't know what some people get so mad about but it is really annoying mainly because I have very shaky hands and photos help me to get a good reference about what I want to have as a drawing. Great tutorial and this helped me on massive levels!

Procreate is awesome, its definitely a different learning curve than using photoshop, but at only 10 bucks, It's a damn near unbeatable price for what you can do with it.

I'm still in training wheels on Procreate and have only placed external images and dimmed the opacity. Didn't even think of being able to use adjustments like B&W on photos in Procreate.

Photoshop have “filter=>sketch=>photocopy” that turns the photo into sketch. Can i do that with procreate? It really helps my work...

How do you save it as to turn it into a vector based image?
I do this, but i felt guilty because on paper i draw by hand but on procreate i couldnt because the method i use doesnt apply. But i guess its a pretty common way to draw this way.
Almost every logo design used a reference unless maybe if it was hand drawn on paper.
