I use modeling in Rhino every day for work. This software is like a "sketch-y" version of Rhino because of its reliance on boolean operations, which I love. The devs for Rhino should pay attention to this workflow, especially the non-destructive Fillets.
This is great! How did you texture/render the model after? Would be a great follow up video! Not the texturing itself, but more the export process to other software :)
Really liking this tutorial. I notice Plasticity uses a lot of Blender shortcuts so I tried holding CTRL+ALT when selecting the small edges on slider to fillet and it selected all the edge rings (corners) at once, just like Blender.
Hey Jose1 Awesome tutorial, would you guide me one the light screen panel design? how did make the LED part. I am starting my Plasticity learning journey, thank you for sharing.
I'm working on a texturing tutorial so stay tuned! First step I UV-Unwrapped the screen from topview (easy), and then I created a black and white video on After Effects, I imported it into Blender and created the material with a Mix Shader connected the Principled BSDF with an Emission Node, using the video texture as the Factor. Hopefully that helps! Let me know :)
Thank you for the nice tutorial. this looks like a nice program. what type of file does it export? can i import to 3d max and render with Corona or Vray? Cheers.
Great tutorial! I learned a lot and am loving Plasticity. Annoyingly, the word "fillet" when used in a manufacturing or engineering context is pronounced "fill it" instead of "fill ay" like when it's used in a food context.
Not yet! Since I already did something similar for another video. I will make a video going through my favorite material and lighting techniques soon though! Stay tuned.
Just a quick tip for anyone reading - select an object and hit the M key to add/edit a material, hit ok and you'll see a color circle appear next to it's name in the object list on left side of the screen. If you want to change an object's material, without changing the material for other items that have that same material, hit Alt+M to remove the material from the selected object.
Nice tutorial! My PC is a high tech machine but exporting in OBJ, NGONS and trying to crank up the density to 1.0, Plasticity is going to crash. This because of the enourmus cylinder booleans for the front grate.
Much appreciated! I'm working on a new specific tutorial on a more optimal way to export, this is a quick setup I use when the models aren't that complex and topology isn't relevant. But it is important to know more optimal ways indeed :)
My problem isn't that I don't know how to create a design but coming up with a design in the first place. Any tips on where I could get good reference from?
Nice tutorial! Wondering if you plan to make any of these designs printed out? If so, we'd love to help here. Covering 3D printing and CNC machining. (PCBWay zoey)
Unfortunately, when recording this video I messed up the settings. But still thought everything was clear with the edges and faces you can see, and the UI is very friendly! Hopefully you gave it a try.
Everything was super clear. I love the UI and minimalism. Those unbelievable actions that you can now do with this program is limitless and it's growing update after update. I'm messing with this program in a week and holy. Best program 3D I've ever used.
Oh boy this so beutiful!
Nice to see someone with a good command of the subject and a "friendly" teaching manner!
Thank you! Still learning!

Indeed! It’s great to come up with quick model variations, in a “sketch-y” way. Saves a lot of time!
Thank a lot! Nice to see that you create with blocking at start. I saw many people who use only curves at start.
Very Helpful, Look forward to future videos, thanks

My favorite part is you can import basic navigation shortcuts from your chosen 3D software! There’s more options, not just Blender and that’s awesome!
Are you going to do more plasticity tutorials.I would like to learn more about plasticity
Thanks bro 4 this!

nice model good tutorial 👏

@@josetzurita That sums it all up! i will definitely stay tuned for the texturing part! stay awesome and keep posting
Cool and clear tutorial. Still you need to pump up the volume to that mic.

Thank you! Evidently English is not my first language so I appreciate your advice a lot!
Thank you veeeery much.
Mind showing how you did the texturing as well...Specifically the decals
Working on it! Stay tuned for new videos :)
Great tutorial. Thank you! Will there be one for the materials and lighting?

What programs do you use for final rendering?

hi nice job, where do you render it??
I export from Plasticity as OBJ and render using Blender Cycles.
@@josetzurita Gracias !!!! 👍
Hi, i have a question. Is possoble make a render inside plasticty or is only for modeling? Thank you!

but why does it look like a product from the 90's
🥲 Я ничё не понял
please invest in a better mic
The audio is terrible.
Working on it! The next upload will have better quality. Thanks for the feedback.
The audio is perfect. Thank you
