Brilliant! This is what we have all been wanting: a real tutorial, no hot air, no empty talking heads, just a long list of real examples shown step by step.
Many days have I searched these wretched UA-cam gallows in search of but a simple clear concise tutorial of basic plasticity or blender knowledge and alas I hath found thee.
This is a great tutorial to use after you've learned all the "newbie" stuff. He goes kinda fast but each model only takes < 1 minute. I suggest watch each model, then pause the video and see if you can duplicate what he models for that model. If not, go back to the start of that model and watch it again. By the 20th model, I was modeling the object before watching the video for that model. Then I'd go back and watch how he did it. Great way to practice what you've learned. Just to let you know, there are several ways to achieve the same model. Practice, Practice, Practice..... Repetition is the only way you learn these tools. Too many newbies wanna start out modeling an F16 or some Star Wars space craft. I've been modeling with 3DS Max for 15 years. Plasticity is a DIFFERENT animal. Wish I had Plasticity 15 years ago!!!!!!
Plasticity is a beautiful piece of software and this is a fantastic tutorial for it. I only wish that plasticity had something like sketches akin to Fusion360. Plasticity is the only CAD program (other than FreeCAD, which isn’t awful but not great either) that doesn’t require a subscription. I know it’s designed mainly for digital assets, but I do hope they keep implementing more traditional CAD design tools for those who like to fabricate the parts they design. Luckily for me, I do both!
I am with you on this. I also do both and this is a great option for me just not there quite yet. I just purchased MasterCam trial but when it runs out who can afford $8K for the darn thing. I am contemplating purchasing this just to help out. $300 is a little high for the Studio package but worth it if it grows
This is amazing. Bite sized lessons for pros and noobs alike. Thanks! I'm just getting started and I've never done any 3D modelling like this before. I have used Revit and ETABS a lot but these are very different. Confusing at first but I'm getting the hang of it.
Amazing amazing video! thank you so much, I wish more people made videos like this! Seeing someone familiar with the program go through a lot of different examples of solving different problems with different workflows is exactly what someone new to the software is looking for.
You are a very good narrator. Your video editing, the length of the video is very well thought out...great. A very good resource to learn Plasticity 3D. Thank you very much for the lessons you prepared, I benefited a lot.
Man, you are awesome these are easy to follow, I was looking for a easy to understand 3d program and this is just awesome, your teaching is fast, clean but easy to understand well done my man. Keep it up. I subbed.
Thank you for the amazing tutorial. I do not quite understand the Move the Duplicated Circle to the other side. What is the shortkey please? I duplicated the circle but the one did not snap to the other side.
Thank you for practical goods examples! Please, if I would like to create some of designed products from wood, iron, I should need dimmensioning, print 2D viewpoint and list of parts (objects has to be individual objects, no grouping).. Unfortunately nobody is presenting this, so it is not possible? Or need some another program for this production? This is crutial need for me, if I start to dive in... Even I already bought it, I do not want to be in situation, that 3d model will be in Plasticity and rest "on paper"..😔 I need cutting plan, then it could be super useful..
Great video! FWIW, 13 no longer works - Unwrap Face creates a sheet, not curves. Even replicating the curves using the sheet edges doesn't work - when you select the curves and cylinder face, Wrap Face isn't available as an option.
my god at 4min I don't get how the rectangle I build does't succeed to cut, otherwise everything is so clear and well made even for such the noob I am thank you
If Plasticity just had feature tree to undo or redimension a solid (real parametric), then this would be a break in the 3D modeling softwares in the market. Great video btw
Is there a tutorial that explains the tools? No idea how that center arc tool is supposed to work, just keeps pulling corners. 45 secs into the tutorial and I'm lost.
I do appreciate your effort.. but there's alot to be said about confirming commands. Otherwise this is just demonstrating the tool and not instructing.
@@Pixelfondue oh yeah, first time touching plasticity and I thought this video was for beginners, apparently not, I guess I'll come back after some basic tutorials
Brilliant! This is what we have all been wanting: a real tutorial, no hot air, no empty talking heads, just a long list of real examples shown step by step.

@@Pixelfondue - Agreed. To make it even better, edit out the repetitive intro for each segment.
@@Suge212 Well, it tells you what the video is about so you can skip if you want

I would recommend submitting feature requests, The developer is constantly adding features and seems open to feedback.

When's Floyd going to show us the quick and efficient way to turn complex plasticity models into useable, lightweight, UV'd game and film assets?
I was wondering the same.

@@Pixelfondue I think it's now been replaced with Deform :)
Hey , what video recording software you're using that record keyboard shortcuts?
I use Camtasia for all of the Vaughan in 60 Seconds videos.
Beautiful teaching, these should be mandatory for all beginners. Question: how do you snap rotate aka rotate by determinate increments?
Got it, it's Control ^ on Mac.
Glad you found the solution!
This video should be integrated as F1 button in plasticity as Help page !
Thanks. I offered the use all of the videos when they were first created and there was no Manual/Help File. Offer still stands.

Where is the wrap face command. I have the unwrapped face command but not the wrap face command. I I'm using the 30 day trial version.
Magnificent
Thanks

These are awesome but a bit too fast for me to try and follow. Love your work though.
Pause as needed... and rewatch as many times as needed.

Amazing tutorials, but please dont put the intro into each part :)
The Pixel Fondue intro was cut for each part - but Floyd was kept because he tells you what the tutorial is going to cover.
Yeah Floyd was cute the first two times and then very quickly gets old 48 times yowz.
