I have not actually used it yet, but am confident based on what I've seen that it will come through with flying colors! Simple, easy, and effective ... the best combinations of attributes for a product.

Sure beats the milk crate or old boxes I used to use to prop up the mainframe!

This looks like a handy tool to have for doing maintenance. My question for you is are you going to make an unboxing video when your recumbent bike arrives?

Hi Kelly, I may do such a video, as I did with the recumbent I have just sold. It's always fun to watch unboxing videos. It is also a testament to the boxer (in this case, Leon at Hostel Shoppe) that reveals his expertise at sending trikes and bikes via freight trucking companies. My last trike arrived in perfect condition. But the fellow at Hostel Shoppe (Sean) who signed off that the shifting was perfect, was not so good at his job (the rear shifting was not able to go up onto the large cog, which required me to do the job myself).

Have you tried it with one of your trikes? My ICE Trice T and TT Gran Tourismo have wide chain stays, the ICE are large diameter. For quick adjustments I put a plastic milk carton under the frame. I have a cyclewerks stand but I have to lift the trike up to beyond waist height to place it on the stand. It works great but too much work for a slight adjustment. I'll consider the Ibera after a close look at my trike frames. Thanks for this "how-to" video.

I have not used this yet Ian. I just got it, but I have no doubt that it will work fine as intended. Regarding measurements for fitting your particular cycles, on the link I give above, they tell all that info, so check it out to know for sure. I got tired of using crates or boxes, always having to put towels between them and the expensively painted frame, thus my reason for buying this simple little piece of maintenance equipment.

Hi Steve.. this looks great to strap on for a tour.. at home i got a set of rollers i set the rear tire on.. Wondering how this will match up on a Rohloff hub..? will the spacing be right..? I picked up an aluminum tripod with a chain/hook.. i take the weight off first then set the tripod next to the trike rack and lift it up to the hook on the chain.. As long as i don't put any weight on the rear end, this will allow me to remove the rear wheel to fix a flat. Still looking for the best solution.. Appreciate your wise advice. bigHUG

      Hi Rob,
This is a real simple device, with few adjustments needed. Once it's set for your trike, it's always ready for use. As you allude in your description, this is only for derailleur adjustment or tire changing, as it would probably collapse if you sat on the trike (it's strong for the intended use, but light duty - I read one buyer's review on Amazon who was griping that the stand broke when he sat on his bike, even though the description and instructions clearly state not to do that ... some folks just don't read).
Anyway, regarding the Rohloff question, whether you have a derailleur or an internally geared rear hub makes no difference. This stand is intended to cradle the two frame members that hold the rear wheel, and that distance and sizing is the same regardless of the rear shifting setup on a bike or trike. I have not actually used this yet, but there appears to be sufficient adjustment to accommodate any bike or trike frame.
I buy stuff and try it out first-hand, the only true way to know if something will work, but from what I read online and in the product's description, I am confident this stand will be just what I need for an occasional derailleur adjustment, tire or tube change, or lubricating the chain while be able to freely pedal.
