Congratulations on getting a Brompton! I love those bikes--they're so handy. The chpt3 looks fantastic!
Brilliant vid - nice little tour of the great Brompton factory !
I have one Brompton, which i love, but I'm finding that there's so many other Bromptons that i would love to own and one of them is the CHPT 3. Its looks a stunning Brompton to have, great video.
Ha ha! Awesome! Thanks for the great video! I love my Brompton bicycles (mainly used when I travel from Cape Town around the world). Please post some more videos of your Brompton! Thanks again.
Great Video. I bought one of these this week too and am very excited about it!
Never thought about these till I saw this.....Now I.m getting one ....awesome
My how times have changed ! A factory tour was something out of the question 2-3 years ago . Way to go Brompton 👍
These look so good. I need to get one of these N+1
Good to see the investment in R&D. And 18 months before a welder gets to braze a frame!!! That’s some quality control right there 👌
N+1 is reaal. The factory was so cool, amazing to see how they make the magic happen!
That's such a cute little bike. I borrowed a folding bike when I visited London. It was so handy. Quick and convenient.
Have fun with yours.
Cute and surprisingly fast. Well no one in London is surprised by their speed. I've had 2 bromptons keeping up with me and eventually passing me (on a road bike) at 40kph on the commute home a couple of years ago.
I recently got a 2007 Brompton, and I love it! The bike made of quality, every part still works flawlessly. Comparing to my previous aluminium folder Brompton looks so delicate and openwork, still stiff, fast and comfortable.
Keira, you got the brompton. It is very fun bike. I'm sure you'll have a good time.👍🏼🤩
USA here, can’t wait to buy one of these! Kind of hard to get though because I don’t live in a big city so I wont be able to road test one before i buy it
Welcome to the Brompton Army. I have 2 Bromptons....so much fun....and practical. I get stopped almost every time I go for a ride....people are always asking me questions about the bike. Stay safe on the road....AND HAVE FUN !!!!
Awesome, tried a Brompton for my first time last Friday, pretty cool. And that CHPT3 version looks amazing
Really nice experience! I love my Lime Green S1L and looking forward to get my first Black Edition S3L / S6L!
I feel SO old. When I bought my first Brompton, they were a bit niche and geeky, and they still built them under a railway arch.
Really enjoyed watching this I want one so bad
I love the colour of the bike and seat it really stands out good luck ,
I get my first bike in November it’s 20/20 Electric bike where I live there are some really big hills so no doubt it will give me boost and get me fit more and just have the amazing amount of fun so I am looking forward raiding my bike long the river and taking some good photos may be Videos .
These little bike's look cute and cool. I've seen them around beach area downtown shopping area's and on the trains witch is very nice go around town bike's.
I’d love to see a follow up Brompton video!
Hell of a bike the CHPT3. Ti forks and rear triangle and about 5lbs lighter than standard. Very nice indeed. Until it rains... enjoy!
Very fun! Now see if Moulton will let you try a Double Pylon around the track. :)
Getting mine tomorrow! Can't wait!!!
amazing experience!! greetings from argentina!!
Nice video thanks. The Brompton factory looks like a cool place to work.
Love the tan wheels!
Great to see them building these quality machines entirely at home ( ok, they don’t make the components). I was pleased to see the wheels being laced by hand. Good jobs doing good work. What’s better than building bikes?
She’s so excited !
Nice video! You must be thrilled! By the way, that rose gold champagne colored Brompton in the background at 8:39, was it just a display prototype, or actually a limited edition color?
Hi Keira, how are you?
Can you share more infos about your Brompton, if is it comfortable, how many mileages are you doing? Kind regards! Your video was amazing, I really enjoyed visiting Brompton’s factory with you. 😁
That was so cool. Loved the factory and the testing. It made my geeky, engineering heart glad. You should review it after a while perhaps. They look ideal for a UK commuter.
Im eric tan from philippines i like your bike. Im dreaming to have one. Well god bless and more power
I've always admired these bikes an found them to look really cool an impressive since the early 90s. Never owned one but rode one, reason.... can't afford one.
They are perfect especially for commuting or nipping about town, not worth the price for everyone though :)
I first seen one in 92 an thought the design really folded well. A mate of a mate bought one in 2002, let me try it out. Ideal for local a to z journey, looked into buying one then, again price put me off, single speed etc. Now I'm older (52)i wish I had took the plunge and got one back then. Now the purchase is no go due to circumstances. Anyway enjoy the fun aye ;)
I love these bikes. Wish I had more money, I would get one.
Heh, but you'd have less money right after you got one. But worth it, they are impressive machines!
Cool little bike.
I wish they still sell it now in 2021, nice video
Hi Keira!, do you mind telling us the version of your CHPT 3?, love the color!.
After take it out the folded bike from the rear car trunk was laid side down, chain got mess up, came off themself, trouble, chain got stuck between frame and roller wheel arm. Difficults pull it out. Spend a lot of time put the chain place back on. Greasy both hand and my car rear trunk carpet.
Need to change a better way, switch to belt drive, no greasy oil mess.
Jolly good Keira. Now gimme Yer C40 since U aint got room for it no mo haha
Kiera for UK Brompton Hill Climb Champion 2019 - I can see the headline now... you heard it here first!
@@KeiraMcVitty You could start one... I think Francis had a Brompton Hill climb in one of his VLOGS last year
awesome keira i hope u enjoy it, pls let me knw about chpt3 as im planning to buy one thanks.
Not just any Brompton but a CHPT3
Thx for the video! Do you still have the bike today? How's it holding up?
I like the clip with 4 band members crossing Abey Road with Bromptons...
Worship consumerism that colour makes all the difference and those tyres
brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sure Bromptons are great bikes; but if I were going to get a folding bike (which I may do at some point), I'd lean more towards one of the $400-$500 folding bikes that are available on Amazon.com.
He forgot about goulding the peddle
Why you are not getting the horn rudder? It should be rather comfortable for your back, as a tall man I use to install the ram rudder on my hardtail.
You exciting each day no matter what
I'm going with a Unicycle, but this is cute!
Now time to change to some aero wheels (yes they exist for Brompton), then win the Brompton world championship
massive massive repsect
So will we see more about life with your CHPT 3?
Always wanted a Brompton the chpt3 is by far the best looking. Wonder if it would be any good for a daily 20 mile commute to work?
You could do it, but 20 miles every morning before and after work is a lot on any bike, unless you got a motor.
A folding bike is generally used for mixing public transport with biking, not just biking. If you just want to do a 40 miles roundtrip every day you'd be better off with a full size bike. If you are already using public transport and still need to go 20 more miles you need to move or change your job :p
Like Max says its really only for small rides at a time, mixed with transport. For a straight up commute your best option is most likely a road bike or hybrid.
@@KeiraMcVitty I figured, I already have several bikes just needed an excuse to get a Brompton 🤔
Well these things have done round the world tours so the bike will cope no problem but 20 miles is a lot before a day at work on any bike.
Nice saddle.
Nice
Nice bassy voice. 😎😁
I love that girl's accent.... where exactly is she from?
How long would it take to do 20,000 km on a Brompton?
Well obviously less time than any other bike, as part of the journey will be on the train!!!!!
I wish I have one
berapakah harga brompton type seperti pada video di inggris
what is the price of brompton type as in the video in english?
i am from indonesia
Do they make a brompton with 20" wheels? 16" is just too limiting for tires, rims, aesthetics.
I can't get a Brompton, that is too much expensive in Russia 😣
Each other folded bike are cost in 7-8 times cheaper!
Bromtom is dirty expensive pay 1/4 for design but I advice you do not buy a bike with low price is danger for your life ..and last maxim 2 years
Buy one around 250-400euro and ITwill be quality enough...
before buy any stuff, i always check if it's worth investment or not, and also check people experience. Before i bought mine, i saw most people could use their Brompton for over decades, that's where i know this bike is worth the price. I'm not gonna buy bike for under $1k if i'm gonna use it for 4 years and broken. I'm buying it because it will last long enough before i got bored lol
super!! how can I Buy this bike. we dont have in Ukraine(
Bromptons have got 16" wheels. Too small for a comfortable ride.
I got myself a 20" Dahon foldable bike. Much more comfortable and FUN to ride.
If you want bigger wheels and more fun bikes you are better off with a Tern than a Dahon. Tern is better quality in general and they produce some very sporty lines with big wheels and even ultegra. That being said, a folding bike is generally used by commuters, who also generally mix their commute with a little biking, say about 2-5 miles and the rest is public transport. So there really is no need to go fast or have a super comfy ride. The bromptons are made in London, they have a long history with their bike, they have a high resale value, you can get all kinds of accessories, AND the fold is probably the smallest of all folding bikes, BY FAR. So depending on your use case there may be another folding bike out there better suiting your needs, but all around, the Brompton beats most if not all of them.
@@maxmeier532 - Yea, that is all true. The best bike for one person may very well be unsatisfactory for another person. It all depends on what each person's needs are.
It is true, no bike folds as small and neat as a brompton, and that has it's obvious appeal for a daily commuter taking the bike in to a train or bus.
However, it's small size does mean that sacrifices have to be made in terms of comfort, stability and overall ride enjoyment.
I paid £350 online for my Ford authorized Smax Dahon. I am happy with it. 👍👍
I saw a 20" Tern at the bike shop the other day, selling for £450.
Halfords have two 20" bikes ot their stores. Raleigh £250 and a Carrera £350.
Plenty of choices out there. 👍
@@ToxicVaccines_HivHoax Have you tried a Brompton? I don't see how it's uncomfortable. Pretty fun to ride and zero comfort problems (I also ride full size bikes). Obviously a bigger wheel will have better performance in some aspects, but I wanted a folding bike because it needs to be small when folded, so 16" wheels makes the most sense.
Have you still got this Brompton in Girona Keira?
Do you still ride any of your Bromptons?
I'm still mulling over the idea of getting the 6 speed electric Brompton. Luckily my bank account will stretch to it!
@@KeiraMcVitty I've narrowed my choice down to the eBrompton, volt axis or tern vectron. I like the foldability of the Brompton but the other two models have bigger batteries.
These are great bikes for public transport/commuting in towns , but i dont get why you would choose them to ride anywhere else, especially up and down hills!!
Why is then image of you and the bike reversed when you are outside after you left the factory?
Did u get that bike for free 😁.
Just bought one! Love it! I think I’ve folded and unfolded it more than I’ve ridden it so far! It’s so unique!! 🤗
Hope you enjoy it! I love mine :)
