Incidentally the farm now offer "almost wild camping" one of the fields in the summer is left for people to book a pitch, there is a chemical toilet discretely hidden out of view and a water tap at one end. @@bravogolfoscar - Hah, that's awesome. I run a "bulin" remote arm combo off a coleman 1li tank. Cant ever go back in spite of the bulk. Was actually wondering about the fire-pit situation for a setup like that. We have a few nice spots around the States here that are very similar. Was also thinking you might have a visitation by some horses judging by the fence. Cheers!

Hi Gareth, Unfortunately condensation is something campers have to live with. The most expensive tents will sadly experience condensation or even internal frost if the conditions are just right. I've just bought a Robens Voyager 2ex at a discount so I couldn't resist. I may only use it in bad weather or winter months. Until your next adventure atb Taff 🤠👊
In all honesty it's not that bad, I only had one vent open and I should have left the tent door open at the top instead of the bottom. As four season tents fo it's quite good at circulating the air Atb G🐾
On the brink of buying this tent!...only thing I'm a bit worried about, because I'm a large bloke (6.4 feet), will it be too small for me?...I don't care about much comfort when hiking alone, but don't want my tent to be awkwardly small...My previous tent was a 2p tent (2.2 kg), quite heavy, but I rather liked having some extra space...what's your advice?...I'm really drawn to a more lightweight tent, but is it worth the sacrifice (both financially as comfortwise?)... I trust the Fjallraven brand (have a Kajka 75l backpack for 7 years, which I really like- very tough, not the lightest, but the quality makes up for the extra weight)...
I would say at 6'4 it's going to be tight, I'm 6ft and can only just sit up in it. Also maybe a bit small in the length as well I would advise trying to see one set up that you can get in to try. Have you checked out the Big Agnes Copper Spur? ultralightoutdoorgear.co.uk/copper-spur-hv-ul-2-tent/
@@bravogolfoscar inner tent of copper spur is 4 cm longer...that ain't gonna make a difference...and it isn't as durable a tent as the fjallraven, which is very important to me...seems a lot more fragile, when looking at the specs...and it is not 4 season...in the abisko, when fully stretched I'll have 15 cm extra space...maybe that's enough...don't care much about the height...i never do cooking inside the vestibule...don't need it...would have liked the inner tent to be at least 10 cm longer, but that would be a luxury, I guess...this tent will do...I think I'll take the leap...:)
Hi! I've not actually done the West Highland Way yet so can't really compare. With regards midges, if you avoid late spring and summer and plan you hike mid to late autumn you should avoid the midges. Thanks for watching Atb G🐾
It's all weather dependent, if Scotland has a hot dry summer, then yes it could be miserable, however if its mild, wet and a bit windy it won't be so bad.

Hi there , great review! I have a question about your abisko lite 1 ... I have just bought one and I have noticed on the outer fly where the main zip is on the inside layer just below the female velcro tab there is a round hole about 5mm across ... im not sure whether its a manufacturing fault or a possible drain hole ?? .... I was wondering if you have the same on your tent ? Many thanks Alan.

For people on low incomes that cant afford a Hilleberg these aren't a bad alternative.😂😂

I think that would be a bit tight, my biggest mat is 55cm wide and I'm sure it takes up most of the room
