I bought the same tent/footprint combo at the start of this year and thanks to the terrible weather it's had about the same amount of use as my three seasons. I spent a night on a summit in it with wind I measured at a steady 48mph that then picked up during the night, it was bucketing it down so i didn't get out to measure it but I'd say it hit 60mph at least. The tent wasn't double poled but i used ground anchors on the guys and double pegged the other points and it hardly moved the frame at all. They are a good tent with not a lot I'd change about them, possibly a door that opened fully to one side and didn't sit along the bottom but i can live with that. In a tunnel tent with a vestibule i think the footprint is a must to make the best use of the space you have.
Hi, yeah i will be using mine on my next camp. that's great to know about the wind. Did you have the front of the tent facing the wind? i totally agree about the door and that's all i would change too. Thanks for watching.
@@thebackingpackinggeordie they suggests pitching with the back to the wind to streamline it I guess and that's how I try to pitch it, the wind on that occasion was coming from every direction though 🤷♂️ I know it's nothing compared to what others have put them through but it was enough to impress me.
Absolutely great video and thorough review! 👍Love that you showed it with all your gear inside, really helps to visualise the space. The washing line feature is a bit odd, but hey, maybe it will come in handy 😆. Let us know how it performs in tougher weather conditions!
Hi, thank you very much, i never know with the review videos how the will do and what people think. That's a really great comment and i must be doing something right. I must admit i don't think i would use the washing line but hey you never know! Thanks for watching and no doubt i will be out in some storms and bad weather now i have a good enough tent.
