Yeah, that's some amazing dedication to a bad idea that the CW and their "creatives" are demonstrating. The only reason they had any viewers at all (aside from the few there to watch the car crash,) is because Ruby Rose is enough of a lesbian heartthrob that a select group of women would suffer through or look past the cringe in order to get their rocks off. It's gonna be absolutely hilarious.
JudgeSpektre At least Supernatural was once popular and *could* have bumped back up, if they only have a handful of shows to make money from (idk). They’re talking about Batwoman’s future, but I don’t know. I mean, even though The Flash has pretty similar ratings now, it at least started around 3.3 million and slowly bled. If Batwoman started at only 1.5m and is now at 700k (paraphrasing, but close enough), what’s season 2 going to be? Start at 500-600k and then end at 280k? Then again they cancelled Swamp Thing after one episode. Or was that a different company?
Devin Nunes' Cows Brother nobody’s getting triggered by the gay superhero’s (at least I’d hope not) what everyone’s frustrated about is that making them gay is one of the biggest priorities, which makes it feel like pandering, I can’t say this for certain since I haven’t seen the program but it doesn’t seem to add to the plot in any meaningful way that she’s gay, other than representation and overall it’s only one of the issues people take with it, however it’s fine that you enjoy it and I respect that opinion.
"And after, everyone is attacking her." So after smugly talking down everyone she was (verbally) attacked by everyone? Pretty shocking, nobody would have seen that coming.

Why not just make their own character instead of strongarming this crap in? Why does the established white male character that literally has made 2.5 BILLION dollars in 3 movies alone have to go? Why is it racists/sexists to ask these questions?
I think the real problem is the CW's prejudice. they need to be more inclusive and hire a flabby , balding male with 5 o clock shadow who just "transitioned" to "female" to play Batwoman ... there's room for everybody in their " BIG Tent" !!!
"We've replaced Batman with a lesbian. Happy now?" "Not gay enough! And too white!" Seriously, we can't possibly satirize these people, because they take it as literal inspiration.
This actually makes sense when you realize that Ruby identifies as genderfluid when Batwoman doesn't; she was only a cisgendered lesbian. The people they tried to pander to not only felt that it was cynical for them to throw this clearly untalented actress in name only but they threw in someone who clearly takes the labels very arbitrarily which people outside of Tumblr don't appreciate.
I think Trey Parker said recently that it's getting harder and harder to satirize the Left because no matter how ridiculously over the top South Park's caricature is, the next week the real life Left does something even crazier.
Mike Spearwood really? I do. It means they want a character that’s so flamboyant that it checks all the right boxes and makes ALL the LGBTQ people happy. You see, nothing ever makes them happy. They could be everywhere and run everything and they still won’t be happy. Hence, this character is not gay enough. I don’t care how gay ppl are. I just don’t want it rubbed in my face, like yesterday at a park I was hiking at with my family when out in the open on a bench 2 really rough looking gay young men were making out, talking nasty and nuzzling each other in plain sight. Leaving me to explain to my kids what they were doing. I don’t want straight ppl doing that either. It’s tacky and gross for anybody to do but my kids don’t understand that. My son is 6 and obsessed with boobs already. It’s alarming to me and my wife actually, but upon explaining “gay” to my son, he thought it was gross and sick and asked why they would do that. “Some people are just gay but they shouldn’t be doing that in public”, I said
And there it is. Sorry, but in my mind, Batwoman isn't scrawny. She's muscular, fit, and athletic. Batman always had some pretty ridiculous plot armor too, but he was big enough and fit enough to kinda pull it off even when it's a bit far-fetched. But Ruby Rose is a twig of a woman. Even with the suit, it's hard to buy her as a someone who wouldn't get hurt and nearly paralyzed.

For me, if someone told me they didn't like black people, I'd just be curious as to why, but wouldn't really care, but the vast majority of other black people would get really livid about it as if their entire identity is wrapped up in the skin that covers their meat and bones. Maybe sexuality doesn't completely define you, but it is still a massive part of who you are, how you behave, how you think, what you believe (for example, someone who advocates pre-marital celibacy will have a different outlook and approach to life than one who is staunchly promiscuous). It doesn't completely define them, but it's a large enough part of them that it influences their identity in a visibly apparent way. We're taught nowadays not to take that sort of bull from others because we have the right now. I'd personally let the person steep in their ignorance, but still mark them as an asshole. That type of thinking is dangerous and largely useless. It's not that our race and culture is our entire identity, even if it does form who we are, its that we're brought up like that and there are probably quite a few of us who were raised by those who saw the effects of racism first hand.

Welp, you guessed it, Frank Stallone
And Norm would know being a deeply closeted gay man
Wait, they _still_ want to do a second season, even with their awful ratings and the lead actress bailing? That's like flapping your arms to try and 'fix' the problem of falling from an airplane with no parachute.
So obviously, this makes me _more_ excited for S2.
The reaction videos are going to be AMAZING!
this the CW network we're talking about. they have let Supernatural kick around for 15 seasons despite the show only being planned for 5. and trust me it ain't because its been setting ratings on fire.
I'd bet on batwoman sticking around for 5-6 seasons easy. lol.
Got to keep the stupid employed somehow.

“Some people are just gay but they shouldn’t be doing that in public”, I said

it just means even the lesbos were like she's not hot enough lol
Had she said "It will be, when it fits me," I would have appreciated the arrogant confidence of a potential super-heroine. But alas, she had to make it a dig at men instead.
It would also fit the character of comic book Kane. She's very dominant and military like and with a healthy dose of earned swagger in the books.
Also weird about making it about fitting a woman when she looks like a young teenage dude
well, considering she acts, thinks and pretends IRL to be a guy, you cannot ask much more from a character that is supposedly thought to act//think/behave as a woman, even as a homosexual one
"it will be when it fits a woman"
This is the suit that belongs to the man that has saved thousands, probably millions of lives
I guess Discrimination is allowed in hiring practices
The fact that Ruby rose quit is the new scapegoat for my blatant alcoholism.
Play it up enough you could get some weed on the side.
I love how you laugh at the "talented creative team" and I agree, the writing for this show is downright juvenile. I mean seriously, are these professional showrunners or deviant children who have no idea how the real world works? That's what really killed it for me, the writing, it's so atrociously bad it makes me wonder if these so-called writers have *ANY* real world experience, because their product says they don't.
@L. Lawliet You tell him! How dare he assume the showrunners' amount of real world experience?! :D
Supergirl isn't much better in regard to the writing.
Flash is getting pretty awful.
Legends is starting to struggle.
The entire CW writing staff seems to be focusing on "Diversity" and "Social commentary" more so than on writing something interesting.
that's the entire CW formula.
but, yeah, i hit 'J' after that laugh, it was hilarious and had to hear it again....
@@ArlanKels Doesn't it make you wonder WHY the writers are getting so bad?
Is it upper management dictating the agenda, or is it a case of them being (as oft-alleged) in some kind of bubble?
@@Nyet-Zdyes all to cause division, divide and conquer always been this way.... Now they have multiple ways to divide us and they do it all the time... Simples, when you sit back and look at the world you really see it for what it is.... A stinking pile of shit 😂
"Not gay enough". OMFG! That right there says everything that's wrong with "diversity" and "inclusionism".
My first reaction: "Maybe they'll now hire a real actress... Maybe"
After some looking it up: "Nope, they've announced their intention to break the law by hiring a lesbian only, rather than merit. I wish I was surprised."
Later searching: "Oh, and they don't even care about the actor's health safety. Now I have a NEW reason to hate these fuckers."
Edit: ok, the "Not Gay Enough" bit is new to me...
How do you be... Not gay enough? The only thing I can imagine (As a sane person, who isn't a massive fucking SJW bigot who thinks sexuality defines you), is "She's actually bisexual"?
And that's right: because Ruby is not properly lesbian and jewish like the comic character them sjw experts hate her...
@@romelmunoz7957 Remember the times in which actors performed all roles, from different kinds of people to aliens or gods? Well, now apparently they have to be exactly like the fictional characters they perform... That's, of course, except if you want to be a Valkyrie; in that case you can totally be short, with black hair and black skin, no problem at all.
" who isn't a massive fucking SJW bigot who thinks sexuality defines you"
Actually, I'm curious to know your thoughts on this, as I've never met anyone who acts this way (unless they're over the age of 60 and come from a more old school background, which is surprisingly rare), and lots of people who are a part of these groups DO, in fact, behave as though sexuality (and race, political leanings, religion, etc) are EXACTLY what defines you.
The same can be said for race, politics, religion, etc. For some, it totally defines, for others, it's just a part of who they are, but for all people, it will still influence them whether they like it or not.
But what do you think?
@@toasega well for me, anyone who has a negative outlook on an entire ethnicity I wouldn't like them and be largely skeptical towards them as a whole. This is mostly because I was brought up black and taught to be skeptical or just plain argumentative because we have the right now -unless its the police-.
From what I understand, Rose identifies as gender fluid.
Amber Heard is rushing in to play that role. Who better to play batwoman than a man beater?
Hahhahahaha classic!.
Beatman haha.
ba dum tss
Amber heard is hot and funny and a good person for beating men
Ruby "bag of bones" Rose.
Remember whenever action heroes had muscles? Remember when they looked like they could rip you in half? Ruby is as much of an action hero as Lily Singh is a comedian
Lovely. I appeared to have suffered second degree burns purely from the proximity to that one. Thanks for that. ;)
Cough, cough SHAZAM cough
