Tip: A fleshing red cast bar on your target means the ability can be interpreted with any interrupt ability. (Dont waist a stun) Very useful, especially for tanks.
Honestly as a Lala someone taught me the CTRL+ Arrow key trick to move my camera position and My GOD. It helps on bosses that are elevated and I can't target them with my controller. It's fantastic and there's so many things about this game that get overlooked. Saw someone figure out Tab targets enemies.
Grea to see you mention KaiyokoStar's Fashion report, it is a wonderful contribution to the community and having its bot is a mark of a good FFXIV discord. They are also a major FFXIV content creator and streamer who does glam contests every so often. The fashion report is updated every friday/saturday.
I love seeing other people's HUD UI placement, definitely intrigues me whether I want to try someone else's style up or do something similar. Definitely love your setup man. And tips
one thing about glamour prisms you didn't mention, and kind of a twofer, is 1) you can save your gear loadouts as separate gearsets, and 2) you can link any gearset to any of your glamour plates so every single time you switch to BLM for example, the glamour plate is automatically applied to all gear. This means if you get some strong new gear for your BLM but you want to wear your glam, quick way is just to switch to your gearset again, even if you're already on that gearset. Doesn't use any glamour prisms to do this, and allows your different jobs to wear the same pieces of armor without messing up your glamour. to link a gearset to a glamour plate, open your Character menu and click on the Gear Set List button (looks like a document icon), create a gearset if you haven't already, I recommend right-clicking and renaming to something like "BLM" instead of Black Mage, makes using text commands easier [/gs change BLM], right-click gearset and click Link to Glamour Plate, select the plate you want that job to wear all the time and voila

Great video! One thing I would add that was a game changer for me is learn how to and set up collapsible and expanding hotbars with macros. It can be daunting at first but totally worth the effort. Especially if you appreciate a clean Ui but still want quick access to features.
Hello, I just came accross your videos since Im jumping in Eureka, thanks for those. I would like to add these tips: /follow for trains (eureka too c:) Flag interactions, place flag, remove flag Also some useful macros eg. NM Call out, Rez call out, superbolide callout :)
a tip on the 5 second invuln after rez, its only against one hit, ive had plenty of times where i rez in two or three AOEs and die immediately regardless of invuln :(
Great tips! Just want to add some helpful ones I came across while playing: 1. If you are a healer, you can set a keybind to target the current target of your focus target. If you set your focus target to the boss, you can use this keybind to target the main tank more easily for healing instead of having to click on them 2. There is a targeting key bind for targeting the nearest enemy instead of using tab targeting to cycle between enemies. This can come in handy sometimes when you need to target something specifically close to you!
Great video, very useful for new people. I did know all the tips and tricks,( definitely not an awesome gamer) but I have played since the original launch. I think my new FC members will find a lot of value in this, thank you for making it.
What is that coat? Also great video gonna link it into my FC discord new player section as it is definitely helpful to have a concise digestible guide for our new sprouts. Thank you
Thanks! I posted this in my Free Company's Discord channel. :-) I have an idea for a future video for you: Beautiful and Secret Locations to take your love interest or significant other to in Eorzea / The First.
Great job mister! Wonderful and useful guide and even if i have played the game for nearly a year i found 2 tips that could easily ease up my gameplay. I do a lot of hunts and raid so the /petsize small tip and how much % the boss has left is something i found most helpful. Hope you will have a nice day //Eri Namoo
Omg, I don't know you could remove items from the glamour chest and keep the plate. I was wondering if there was a way to use the gear I bought with my poetics as glamour and keep it as equipment at the same time. Thank you so much!
Oh, these are some excellent suggestions; thank you for sharing them. Also, may I inquire as to which gshade preset you are using? It appears to be fantastic.
Rez note: the invuln does not prevent knockback so if you die in say Dun Scath and get rezzed and you click to rez before Deathguise does the knockback after Blizzard, you will die immediately again if you dont use surecast/arms length or rez by the blizzard.
Okay a lot of these really helped. I've been putting off menu work and settings check for a while because I just wanna login and play, so it's nice to see it all laid out like this.

a lot of these were helpful and i learned a few new things, but it would be nice if you (and others making similar vids) would either specify that certain tips are for pc/keyboard players only, or include console/controller equivalents when relevant. it’s frustrating to watch videos that are 50% keybinds and keyboard setup recommendations that are just flat out irrelevant to a full-time console/controller player, and doubly frustrating when those tips are treated as universally useful

THANK YOU! This I never knew. The amount of low blows, interjects etc I have wasted trying to interrupt.
That's the one thing Interject tool-tip doesn't say that it should.
The glamour plate tip where you can remove the item from the dresser was the one and only I did not know. Nice tip!

If you buy glamour prisms for company seals you can sell them for Gil on the market board 😉
For Auto-run (R key on keyboard), you can also use the middle-mouse button (if you have one).
