- Hey guys, today I’m coming at you with another FFXIV gil making video, this time it’s stuff you should do this weekend and Monday before patch 6.1 in order to maximize the profit you can make and make the most Gil in 6.1
I wanted to post this video early so you had a chance to implement all this stuff before the patch drops, none of this should take too long, just some prep for you if you haven’t already done it!

I feel like the advice about logging out in Empyreum and the like is a *little* off mark just because they made it a lottery system vs the first-come-first-serve with this Patch (says in the Patch Notes they're all going to be Lottery this time) so rushing there first day is actually the *last* thing I would do. I'd personally wait until the last day of the Lottery Entry period and go thru the wards available for your needs (FC and Personal being separate wards this time) and see which plot I like (I do have a few picked out) has the least amount of entries (SEE: "Oh, Ward 1's has like 60 but Ward 15's has like 12, guess I'll enter in Ward 15 for this plot I like!")
Ya, thats what my FC is doing. Just chilling and waiting till the second to last day to bid.
Not sure if you mentioned this but capping on bicolored gemstones is always a good idea before a big patch. Cheers!
I know my comment on your last video might have sounded a little harsh. I also didn’t convey how much of your points I agreed with. Most importantly I liked your video, and didn’t want to discourage you from making more like it. I think it’s healthy and important for you to express when a game isn’t living up to expectations. Because the game will never improve otherwise. Keep up the good work!!

I really appreciate the advice. I’m still a relatively new player so not all of my crafters are leveled and I don’t have every single role type leveled (The only ones that are are tanks, which I enjoy a lot) so I enjoy that your advice/suggestions are flexible and can easily be converted for different situations

I’m not in Endwalker yet so I’m not gonna make a ton of money, but I’m excited for the new patch and to see my friends explore the new content : )
For the part of the ungendered clothing, you're likely already too late.
When the preliminary patch notes dropped, you could pick up some of those pieces between 100-200k, some of the pieces on my server have already reached 500k+.
You might need to edit the housing part since I believe they are all lotto.
First thing I thought of when I got to the part of the video.
The new housing plots are a combination of lottery and the old system, so you can still log out there to get a chance at an early house.
I don't think that's accurate. In the more recent communication from Squenix, they've stated that all houses will only be lottery from now on.

I didn't watch this video until this morning but I surely hope that not everyone logged out in Foundation aetheryte. This will likely make load times into those areas at launch a nightmare for those people. Besides, housing is now lottery and have 5 days to enter in on a plot. You are no more likely to win if you are the first entry or 5000th entry. ALWAYS LOG OUT AT AN INN WHEN THERE ARE BIG UPDATES!
You have I think like a week or so on the time for the lottery numbers to be picked on ishgard housing. So you don’t have to log out there. It’s not first-come-first-serve
The housing lottery for Empyreum will be open for 4 days to submit for a plot so there's no rush or anything thankfully
I believe the housing is going to the auction system so do you really need to rush to it if your just placing a bid?
I got 3 kumbha maps ready.
The new materials glams are eeeeeeeeeh adjacent for me BUT a male viera was wearing the hat which means hrothgar get a lv1 all class cap to wear FINALLY so I must have it.
I really still want to wear my pvp allagan healer hat or neoishgard hats or calfskin cap but whatever FINALLY a cap everyone can wear regardless of class. You'll also notice the viera and miqote have silvery lines around their eyes which means it should also have a glasses toggle so its a really nice hat to have

I mean if someone makes a video about there not being enough side content and there is a website from the company for the game that basically tracks what side content you do, I'm not really surprised to see people check it to make sure you're not just lying.
If someone decided to claim they were the #1 raider and damage dealer in the server/game lots of people would be checking fflogs.

I've been stocking up on Gatherer materia to sell on the day of. Is this a good idea or should I be spending my time elsewhere to make gil?
My thoughts are if you've been stockpiling it, others half also. Always a good idea to prep for NEW items as opposed to responding to demand of old items, people have had months to build impressive stockpiles they are all going to try to cash in on now.
I always think it's a good idea. I was selling materia for a week when a patch dropped once and made an easy 5+mil off of materia alone. People will always be looking to penta meld and some people wont be playing day one cause of IRL things so yes, materia is always an easy gil making item.
You forgot system for buying houses is changed. you can't buy houses just like that in 6.1 as there's the roulette system

FURDADDYYYYY!!! Help!!! lol. Ok, so I placed a bit on a plot. Checked today and I lost (there were only two bids) to '0'. I lost to a '0'. What the heck???? A lot of my friends lost apparently to a binary code.

You should definitely not limit your content, specially if you yourself got some value out of getting your thoughts out. You said yourself that likes where higher than dislikes, so that should tell you that most people do like to hear what you have to say even if not everyone will understand or agree with your points. Also we kind of known for being a bit over protective of the game and the devs. so take any out-rage with a grain of salt, those that wants a functional discussion will do a double take after they calm down from their original reaction.
This video is soooooo much easier when you character is wearing a shirt. I feel like a furry watching a man-cat teach me about Gil making. Also the gathering log is supremely easy to navigate. You really don’t need an add on for it.
About the gathering log: I agree, it is decently easy to navigate. However, the addon streamlines SO many things. It's way easier to quickly find a node based on multiple criteria, it teleports you to the nearest aetheryte, and timed nodes are super easy to track and set up alarms for. It would be hard to go back, after experiencing the convenience myself.
I don't think its you burning out it just you want more content to do and nothing wrong with that.

Last video was good, and it works as the content creator. Every top streamers have viewcount on reacting and giving their opinion on something, don't listen to the haters
People are mixing up what burnt out really is. Being burnt out is doing the samething over and over and being fatigued on doing content where its no longer enjoyable. Not the samething as there's nothing to do please add more stuff im bored. Just because its not completed content doesn't make it new. 90% of the same is the exact same content with a new shell. Thats why you get alot people quitting the game cus they're tired of doing main story quest to just hit endgame where there friends are.
