Found me a '65 D200 pretty much the same way back in '95, the owners kid had pitched the #2 rod and the owner had just parked it out of disgust. $150 and a freshened 4 bbl 318 poly later it's still my daily diver. Enjoy yours!
A fine truck for bringing back to life! I had a 1969 D200 for 39 years that always started and ran fine. My old Dodge was purchased and restored this year and now has a new home. Happy trails to this fine ride... Skip
That 1965 Dodge truck really brings up memories for me. My dad had one that lasted a long time. I cried when his baby blue Dodge locked up and quit. My dad is gone now and when I see a truck like it I'm in tears. Good luck with your find. Restore to its original glory.
You found & took old Dodgie Home. You did a fantastic job Washing her removing many years of dirt and moss with a high powered water blaster made all the difference that was the way to go. It is classic car enthusiasts.... Guys like you that are fixing, restoring & keeping old cars & trucks to be seen alive on the roads to be admired. These classics bring smiles to peoples faces young & old bringing back memories of the past. Thanks for saving the old dodge truck she definitely deserves a second chance a New Home....Cheers
I remember as a young boy an old neighbor in his '90's brush painting and stenciling his mid '60's D100 fire engine red with white top and lettering. "Why?" i asked. "This good old truck will out live me." he replied. I've wanted one ever since. Joe Cocker sound track was perfect by the way! Great find!
My grandma has one of these but it was the camper edition and it needs a little TLC but for being 50+ years it has zero rust on the exterior of the body. I wanna do a restoration project on it one day hopefully.
Stayed for the old dodge truck...enjoyed the find and pull off the yard and onto the trailer...entranced by the pressure wash segment...mesmerizing...and thank you for reminding me how much I really liked Joe Cocker...
The Dodge D100, is in my opinion, the most beatiful pick-up, I am from Brazil and this model is very rare around here, congratulations on your amazing find! all the best, Marcos
for sitting that long, it looks in really great shape, dont see any rot holes or any rust for that matter- shoot even the trim n front bumper are really sharp. nice score!👍
You are so lucky to find a truck in this condition. These old Dodge trucks have a nice style to them. I believe they called it "wind swept". Anyway looks good to me.
That has to be the most beautiful truck I ever saw. I bet she was so happy to be so clean after sitting so long. Thank you guys for saving this piece of American automotive history and giving it a second chance at life
That is a beauty to behold. Lets hope and pray the kid ain't a total retart like he usually is and leaves it like that or goes spinning the tires with it.... That body is so straight and well preserved it is begging to be a total resto. In about 25 years that truck will have astronomical value. It already has historical value. We just did one similar to it here. It was found on/at a Pickle farm in Southern Georgia had been garage kept until the 80's when it was given up the motor was toast bread. The body was arrow straight the interior mostly other than the seat it had rubber mat flooring which was common for 1965 & 66 on back. The stainless trim glowed in the dark and the guy that bought it still realize some of things like them reflectors and stuff the screws as well as the holes the screws went into became rust repair areas but due to the thickness of the metal it was easy to weld patches to it here and there. The rockers we got in a kit that had new weather stripping and wing windows @Tonys parts. The kit was a better part of $1,000 for everything. But it came with glass for the wing windows were a total assembly like drop in. The problems with the doors were beautiful outside but rotted inside at places so we surgically removed the critical portions of the doors from the insides also rust proofed the rest of the door inside out. We created the new pieces by hand and welded it all back up. The thing now sits in the guys garage he loves the truck it has a 3spd on the floor too. I found a 360 motor on line which was not an old style 360 but the truck cooked along we cammed the motor and added headers and Holley DEMON 4bbl. The trans went bad this past November he got a rebuilt for $1,000 for somewhere. I would say with what he paid us he us here and the other stuff he has to have 10K in the truck total by now but it is a honey like that one. I have an 88 Ford Highboy and it is going the same route only the bed is missing as well as rear fuel tank is also missing. Well preserved but still a money pit... It seemed like a simple restoration and it basically did not seem like much until ya start taking shit apart and try to make work right again. That is where sweet looking vehicles like these start being a total pain in the ass.
That was beautiful. I'm a Ford guy, but I love all old cars / trucks. They all had so much character back then I gotta admit, between the wonderful croons of Joe Cocker I almost teared up at 2:41 watching that truck get pulled to sanctuary.
I gotta tell ya, Dylan, one of the best parts of your vids when you bring home these Mopars and just pressure washing them off, it's like unwrapping a Christmas present and seeing what is under all that mold and lyken. That truck looks like you just drove it home. And you must have an old soul, lol. The music you use is the best ever!! Keep it up and don't think that people are not liking what you do, because I for one, really do!
Dylan McCool this truck definitely deserved being rescued these old things just seem to never die even if you leave them sitting for as long as this one has
Sometimes life's rhythms just fall in and other times you just seem to fight the current. I 've found some of the best vehicles and other things, are the ones that just happen to come your way.
It's so satisfying to pressure wash the filth off an old car or truck. One of my favorite parts of this hobby. Even watching somebody else do it is intoxicating.
With all due respect for your commentary, this format of your videos was a breath of fresh air. Absolutely loved the music with the supremely satisfying pressure wash of the blue boy. Keep 'em comin'!
I've never come across a channel where all I had to do was watch a single video to make me subscribe, but that was all I needed. It's obvious this channel has quality content. Great videography and choice of music, it feels like a documentary without even speaking a word.
This is a VERY intriguing rescue! I am amazed at how straight that truck is. It is obviously a truck that was well cared for... right up until it was parked. It's also obvious that it sat for a long long time. BUT even so it wasn't abused where it sat, just neglected. I would LOVE to hear the history of it, it seems as if there has to be an interesting story behind it! Did it get parked because it's owner died? Did it get parked for some mechanical issue? Also was the guy who last drove it the original owner? Great find, it's going to come back and look awesome I'm sure.
Inquiring minds want two2 know. Truck cleaned up real well. Would be interesting two2 know the story as your title says 24 years and that brings us back to 93 and the truck looks two2 bee a 71 I believe by the parking lights. Looking forward to Mr CT's answer.
Yeah, I originally thought it was a 69, then a 68 and back to a 69... I think late year in 68 they must have added the front fender reflectors. The 71 hood doesn't have the eye brows...
That truck brought back so many memories for me. My grandfather had a forest green 69 just like it. I remember @ 5 years old pumping the brakes for him after he did a full brake job on it. Just sub to follow this one. Thank you for saving the old stuff.
As soon as you added the new tires, this truck came to life. Then, I couldn’t wait for you to finish washing it to see what it would look like all clean! Wow! Beautiful truck!
Impeccable !!! It does not need painting, only water! I have a Dodge Diesel DP100 year 1977 made in Argentina, similar to this one. These vehicles will work forever while there is fuel in the tank !!!
Two excellent classics , the pick up and joe cocker , lets hope it got the right help from its friends . The work done right to bring it back to life , keep saving the classics people , its all American motor heritage . Excellent job saving this one guys , .
Good to hear Leon Russell playing again back when he was producing, writing and arranging for Joe Cocker... Leon's fron Kansas originally and the Oklahoma area... then on to New York and L.A. with the Wrecking Crew then the worlk. Elton John's big influence when he was first coming up [you can hear how Leon influenced all of his early albums.. well Leon and Laura Nyro but... great stuff]. Thanks for putting that music up Dylan. Nice!
Great vid Pal. You and your dad work real well together hope you appreciate what you got and I'm knot talking about the truck. I watched got a cup of Jo and listened to Joe. Good job.
Brilliant find and loved the music that went with this video! The music in most videos on you tube normally suck but watching while you washed that truck was strangely satisfying and hypnotic!! Great find!
Great find and music ,vid. Glad to know there's Joe Cocker fans still around. Ha. Space Man by Joe and company geez .. maybe forty years since i heard that one. Woo ... Ahhhh.....
That's cool as s*** man my very first pickup truck was a 1970 three quarter ton camper special natural 383 727 torqueflite it was a rocket ship dude would love to have another one
Yup I have owned many cool cars and never regretted selling any of them until 10 years ago I had a 1978 IH Scout II and sold it and regretted it ever since until last week I bought another 78 Scout and I know I won't be selling this one It is just too cool a truck man !
I own a '70. 383 automatic. 62k original miles. Factory a/c. Original owner traded it in on new Dakota in 1995. Dealership screwed him over big time. She's a beaut. Very satisfying to see this one saved.
Looks identcal to the one dad had in 70's except his was a 3/4 ton Camper Special with a 318. Speedo only goes to 100. The truck went well past that and the needle broke off. I told my dad that it just popped off when I hit a big bump, and he didn't know the difference until a few years ago. Loved that truck!
It's funny how whereas paint spraying always seems better all sped-up, this water sprayer was so satisfying to watch all those years of grime fall away. And what a surprisingly nice shade of blue she is. 'With a Little Help..' choice was a stroke of genius too, I thought. HaHa That song was perfect for this !!
MostlymoparIH Dodge realized that since the rotation on the tires on the drivers side was counter clockwise, they would put counterclockwise threads on the one side so that if the lug nuts came loose, they would self tighten instead of loosening up even more. #moparingenuity
Tow rig needs to be a Dodge haha. So satisfying watching the years of build up be blasted off with the power washer. Great looking truck. Awesome instagram as well 👍
I found the power washing, sooooo satisfying!! lol It's amazing how by simply cleaning the truck, and putting on 4 new wheels and tires, it went from a worthless piece of junk, to a really cool project!! Love it...
Young man I don't know how you did it but that truck is a hell of a score wow I'd leave it just like it sits nice paint good bumpers nice truck Dylan 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I learned to drive on a 68 D100 with slant six three on the tree. My Dad bought it new for $2000 and I got my license in 69. It was a tough truck, he drove it to work and we went hunting and fishing in it. We loaded a john boat in the back and hauled all sorts of stuff. Just like trucks are made to do not just drive around town pretending to be tough. lol The next year he bought a Dart Custom with the slant six and torqueflite. He paid less then $3000 for it and I got to drive it to school. I had a great Dad and he knew the value of those Chrysler vehicles. We had two new vehicles for less then $5000 and they were both dependable and tough.
It is so excited for me to watch you washing the truck because it brings me back memories when I was in Georgia 26 years ago me and my friend was riding around near Aténs ,GA exactly the same looking truck with the same color and we love It, it was fun back in those days.
Elephant Seal she is soon to see new life trucks like that deserve to live on but it's sad to take in the fact that millions of these things including Chevys and Fords are slowly wasting away forgotten and unloved in forests and barns some which are doomed to never be found
you found a i can't believe that you found something like that in that condition i can believe that paint is that good now you need a big barn to put all the gems in . I'm glad that the younger ones are have the same fire 🔥 as many us dodge men/lover's in their hearts thank you! good music DANO
There's nothing like a Ram tough Sweptline being rescued and power washed to look pristine clean.... Tip my hat off to you Dylan for restoring and rescuing Mo-Pars to their former glory.... It takes a patient man with a sincere love for the product that he works on.....Delight yourselves in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart... (Psalm 37:4)
Although I'm a Ford fan first i like a lot of different makes and models too. That truck was beautiful even before you pressure washed it. Iconic, right up there with a 65 Chevy truck in my opinion. 👍
Whats with the Joe Cocker tunes? Of all the classic rock music you could have gone with, This is what you chose? Love the old truck , but gritted my teeth through the whole video!!
They are all Joe Cocker, and the first one is "With a Little Help From My Friends". The second one is "Learning to Live Together Until We Die" (I believe) The third one is "Honkytonk Women"
Found me a '65 D200 pretty much the same way back in '95, the owners kid had pitched the #2 rod and the owner had just parked it out of disgust. $150 and a freshened 4 bbl 318 poly later it's still my daily diver. Enjoy yours!

Nothing more satisfying than watching years of neglect get washed "away".
Muy buen video
I love this video. It seemed like the old girl was smiling! Hope you enjoy many years of driving that beautiful truck. Thank you for sharing.
Who else thinks it's satisfying to pressure wash a truck they pulled out of the woods or somethin like this one
I certainly do
Not only that but is it just me or do they always find the coolest cars and trucks with absolutely perfect patina on them
Givin it that first shot of tlc!
main reason wh i watch them
i also love it how they are sort of giving it life

The rocker under the door on the passenger side, pretty nasty holes,
alot does need replacing still tho
Interesting triangular shaped symbol.

Dylan McCool This is better than watching an old favorite TV series back when they were actually good !
Shaun Clifton Thank you!
Dylan McCool this truck definitely deserved being rescued these old things just seem to never die even if you leave them sitting for as long as this one has
I grew up with a 1965 dodge like that one. I sat in tears as I remember my dad who drove it.
I sure do miss them both.
@Dylan McCool Great find! It cleaned up very nicely too, can't wait to see more of it!
ImpactJunky Is Dylan Living the Charmed Life or what ? Dammit boy
@Shaun Clifton He sure is lol
Sometimes life's rhythms just fall in and other times you just seem to fight the current. I 've found some of the best vehicles and other things, are the ones that just happen to come your way.
Yes like my 1995 c1500. My Barn find! August 2016
What a satisfying car wash! Nice…start it up and your done!
If that truck could talk there would be a lot of gratitude given to you just for the bath. R.I.P Joe Cocker.
It's so satisfying to pressure wash the filth off an old car or truck. One of my favorite parts of this hobby. Even watching somebody else do it is intoxicating.
This is like one of those videos of things that's satisfying to watch.

I have always been a mopar guy but not necessarily into the d100's until recently, now we have 2 running and driving. Very cool truck.
Heinz owned a 1969 Dodge D200 for thirty something years, I appreciate your efforts to keep another Dodge on the road... looking' good!! Thanks.
Great time period correct Joe Cocker, nice classic touch...

Truck cleaned up real well.
Would be interesting two2 know the story as your title says 24 years and that brings us back to 93 and the truck looks two2 bee a 71 I believe by the parking lights. Looking forward to Mr CT's answer.
That's a 1968 Dodge I believe, the 71 had a little different hood I think.
Dylan says it a 68 but I thought they had round parking lights.

Great find and music ,vid. Glad to know there's Joe Cocker fans still around. Ha. Space Man by Joe and company geez .. maybe forty years since i heard that one. Woo ... Ahhhh.....
Went from a hunk of yard junk to nearly presentable with a simple power wash. I'd like to see a new Dodge pull that off.
Ha. If you leave a bew dodge sit for that long and try to pressure wash it.. youll be left with 4 tires and a cracked dash
That truck looks so happy after you cleaned it. And Joe cocker was a good choice of music.
That's cool as s*** man my very first pickup truck was a 1970 three quarter ton camper special natural 383 727 torqueflite it was a rocket ship dude would love to have another one

Me too mine was a 68 Adventurer w/ 383 1/2 ton and I took down a few chevelles, novas, mustangs etc. It sure was fast.
Love the sweptlines! Me and my dad are currently restoring a short bed, crew cab next!
This is a '68, right? My Dad had a '69 40 years ago. 318 3-on-the-tree. It's what I learned to drive a stick on. I would love to own this one.
todd riley You got it!
Cool-my Dad had a 69 also with 225 slant 6 3 on the tree.
I own a '70. 383 automatic. 62k original miles. Factory a/c. Original owner traded it in on new Dakota in 1995. Dealership screwed him over big time. She's a beaut. Very satisfying to see this one saved.

That old truck looks absolutely amazing. My dad's was a long wheel, slant 6 engine, 3 on the tree transmission. Brings back memories seeing that.
Love it...
Linda, maravilhosa! Aqui no Brasil, a Dodge 100 foi vendida por anos, mas são raras as sobreviventes !!!
Young man I don't know how you did it but that truck is a hell of a score wow I'd leave it just like it sits nice paint good bumpers nice truck Dylan 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
An oil change and bleed the brakes. You're good to go!

It is so excited for me to watch you washing the truck because it brings me back memories when I was in Georgia 26 years ago me and my friend was riding around near Aténs ,GA exactly the same looking truck with the same color and we love It, it was fun back in those days.
What year is it? And what are your plans for it?
korbin varney It's a '68. As of now the options are endless.
Dylan McCool that truck was pretty well preserved
Elephant Seal she is soon to see new life trucks like that deserve to live on but it's sad to take in the fact that millions of these things including Chevys and Fords are slowly wasting away forgotten and unloved in forests and barns some which are doomed to never be found
Just waiting hoping someone will find them and bring them back from the dead
korbin varney that would require the ability.to talk.
you found a i can't believe that you found something like that in that condition i can believe that paint is that good now you need a big barn to put all the gems in . I'm glad that the younger ones are have the same fire 🔥 as many us dodge men/lover's in their hearts thank you! good music DANO
Super Sweet
YOU ARE THE #1 CLASSIC CAR SAVER.
Dylan, awesome rescue! What are your plans for this one?
There's nothing like a Ram tough Sweptline being rescued and power washed to look pristine clean.... Tip my hat off to you Dylan for restoring and rescuing Mo-Pars to their former glory.... It takes a patient man with a sincere love for the product that he works on.....Delight yourselves in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart... (Psalm 37:4)
Leave the patina freshen up the the mechanicals and ride
Thought I was the only one who felt so satisfied seeing a dirty old truck being pressure washed :-)
What a score!
My first truck was a 1964 Dodge that looked close to this one. What a work horse it was. Nice cleaning job man. Good video too.
Kakdu
The old dodges are righthand thread on the right side and left hand thread on the left side LOL
I love your choice in Joe F'n Cocker!! We need a part two!!!
waiting for the video starting that nice truck
Cleaned up nice. Good find, looks reasonably solid. Wish I could have found something like this in my younger days. That Dodge has character.
For once decent music w the video.
Congrats on the truck score! Your videography adds immensely to the overall presentation--great job...

Great video n nice truck. No one said what year it is though. Not one of your commenters. 64 63 62 which year is it? I'd drive that everyday.
I think it s a 68
DODGE DODGE DOGGE NUMBER ONE FROM SINCE!!!.....:).
Although I'm a Ford fan first i like a lot of different makes and models too. That truck was beautiful even before you pressure washed it. Iconic, right up there with a 65 Chevy truck in my opinion. 👍
El Video se tiene que llamar "COMO LAVAR UNA CAMIONETA SUCIA"
Correcto Contigo camarada
Segun el video hace años q estaba parada esa camioneta ....la lavo y estaba nueva la pintura los paragolpes ..
24 years and still shine like new truly a beautiful truck
The wonder years theme song
I used to have one just like this. Great to see it come back to life! These are great trucks.
Sexiest shower seen I’ve ever watched ! I Couldn’t believe the condition it was in. Beautiful truck.
Whats with the Joe Cocker tunes? Of all the classic rock music you could have gone with, This is what you chose? Love the old truck , but gritted my teeth through the whole video!!
Please tell me the name of that song
They are all Joe Cocker, and the first one is "With a Little Help From My Friends". The second one is "Learning to Live Together Until We Die" (I believe) The third one is "Honkytonk Women"
Good ear lloyd, I missed the middle song, thought it was just blend.
the so called MUSIC is CRAP
Another ridiculously clean find! Can't wait for more!
